After approaching 3 other nail salons with no luck, I was able to get a walk-in appointment around lunch here. I'm surprised Wednesdays are busy for nail salons out in the 'burbs. America is back, baby. However, I'm happy I ended up here! The ladies were nice, the foot massage that came with the pedi felt great, and my toes got a much needed clean up. For the mani, I got to sit in front of the TV and they had the movie Titanic on. I got to watch at least half an hour of it while my nails dried- oh, what memories. The nail color selection was good, and it cost $48 for the regular mani pedi, without tip. As I type this review on day 5, my nails still look perfect. They prefer cash tips, so come prepared with some greenbacks, if possible. read more

I started going to TOP Nail in Clarendon Hills a couple years ago. I was trying to support a local & female owned business. I think their manicurists can manage a good mani or pedi. But repeatedly this salon fails to deliver in the 'customer service' Dept., friendliness, service with a smile. Often the owners trys to change booked appt times to fit into her or her manicurists schedule of when they want to leave. If I book an appt at a certain time its bc that's when it works to come in. When customers come in they don't welcome them w a friendly hello. If I go somewhere for two years they should know me, and be kind and warm and friendly. I'm giving them the business, and my money but decided to say no more. Pass on Top Nail and find a nail salon that delivers service with a friendly smile. read more

Done with this place! I've been going here for a few months as I am new to the area. When I went yesterday, the owner asked me if I made Indian food. I said no and she was surprised. I realized she thought that I was Indian so I explained to her that I was Black. Then she proceeded to not believe me and told me I do not look Black nor do I sound Black. I told her we come in all different colors and I don't know what she means by sounding Black. That is extremely offensive. She then kept telling me that one of my parents had to be white and I said no, I am Black. She then said my child is white and I said no, I am Black and my child is not White. I don't think she meant to be offensive, but I was completely offended and will not be returning. I shouldn't have to explain my background until you find it acceptable. read more

First time I had a very good experience, second time was probably one of the worst manicures I've ever paid for. She started off with "what did you do?!" When looking at my nails. Admittedly I hate long nails and do pick my nails but I've gotten countless manicures when they were short and it's never been an issue. The woman was rushed the entire time. She got up multiple times during my service to answer the phone and go to the bathroom. She eventually brought the phone over to our station and answered the phone 2 times whilst doing my nails. She acted exasperated that she could not do my nails properly because they were "too short", again I've never had this issue. After she was done with the colour she stood up and walked away and never came back. A 14ish year old child finished my serviced, which was very strange. The end result is a very messy gel manicure. I was hoping to make this my "go to" place as I live in Clarendon Hills but that will NOT be happening. I will drive a bit further and go to Downers Grove or Hinsdale where I've gotten better service. Suggest you avoid at all costs. read more

I am a regular at Nail Park, usually getting a manicure once every week or two and a pedicure every two to three weeks. The staff at Nail Park rocks!! I am very picky about my nails and this place never disappoints. I have never walked out unhappy! I recommend making an appointment or you may have to wait. I always make an appointment and am taken on time. They have a great selections of OPI, Essie and my personal favorite, Zoya, colors. I recommended this place to a friend of mine for her pre-wedding nail day. She had never been, but knows how I am about my nails and took my word for it. My friend (the bride), her mother in law to be, along with myself and the other bridesmaids took over the place one Friday morning. Everyone was happy with their nails, including the bride. They also set up a table for us to bring in snacks and provided a table cloth as well, which I thought was a nice touch! Their prices are reasonable and they offer a punch (frequent customer) card. This place does a fantastic job on your nails. But the last three times I've been there, the movie Titanic was on. I'm not sure what happened to HGTV, but after a while being there, you cannot help but feel depressed. We all know how it ends. First time coming here and felt like this was the worst pedicure I have ever experienced. The lady was very rude (didn't even give me her name despite me asking her multiple times) and racist. I asked her what types of pedicures they have and she wouldn't explain the options. i said I wanted a classic pedicure. Then she rushed through the whole pedicure and only spent 20 minutes even after telling me it should take 35 minutes. She wasn't treating the other customers like this. She only wanted to paint my nails and I had to ask the manager to tell her to use a callus brush for my heels and she was even more angry and said we have no time for that. She didn't even put lotion on my heels afterward. If you don't want to service me then just say that but no reason to be rude to a pregnant lady you have never met who was hoping to make this my regular salon since moving her. Basically she just wanted to paint my nails for $35. I asked a different lady for her name so I can just make sure to request someone else next time. Visited last week for a no-chip manicure. Did not like the vibe in there. The lady who did my nails was not friendly, scolded me for almost prematurely removing my hand from the drying lamp. Yikes! However, the last few times I've gone here the service has felt really rushed and it's not been enjoyable for me. This is precious "me" time but I don't like feeling like I'm a nuisance, and that's how my experiences have been. If my most recent technician had been in a contest for fastest no chip/pedi, she would have won. The final result looks pretty good I must say! It's just I want my time there to be relaxing and client-oriented. It was neither of those. I've asked the last 2 times for extra massage time and they can never accommodate "no- too busy." I'll admit I should probably make sure to request that at the time of booking! But anyway. It's a rushed service- so you might like it if you have little time to spare. Actually renamed Top Nail. Small quiet nail shop that I went to for my first time and loved!!! Everyone there was really nice and friendly. You can tell they all are very hard working. I got a no chip manicure which they did an amazing job on and it has lasted so far 3 weeks without chipping at all. Good color and brand selection and clean and cute in the salon. I love this place. The manicures and pedicures are consistently excellent no matter who the manicurist is. It's always very, very clean. I just went to a different nail salon closer to home today, but will not do that again. Top Nail is the best in the suburbs. I have experienced the scolding that was referred to in other reviews, but she's always telling the truth. The quality of the manicure makes it worth it. I have been here several times and have been pleased with the service each time. Because of my hectic schedule, I am often not able to book appointments in advance, but when I do call on a free day, they have always been able to fit me in at some point later that day. The ladies there are very nice and professional. They always do a great job, and the one time I went home and noticed my smudged toe nail after a mani/pedi, they had me come in the next day and fixed it. Actually, my whole family goes here, including my husband who does a pedicure once and a while. They have all colors in trend and does a good no-chip. I've been to Nail Park several times as a customer and was satisfied with the manicures and pedicures I had received. They weren't the best, but they weren't the worst I have gotten and seemed reasonable for the price. However, while waiting to pick me up at the train, my 4 year old daughter had to go to the bathroom. My mother, choosing the closest place available, walked in with her and asked them if my daughter could use the restroom and she was told no and turned away. As a result my daughter got scared and had to run back to our house a few blocks away to use the restroom. When I called the salon and talk to the manager she stood by their policy to only let customers use the restroom. Perhaps they didn't' think about the fact that the child who they were turning away had a mom who gets monthly manicures. I understand the policy, but I also believe an exception should have been made for a young child. Letting her use the restroom wouldn't have become a regular occurrence or an abuse of the policy. Nail Park will not be receiving my business any longer. read more
