No greeting, smile, eye contact, thank you...nothing. Bare minimum for shaping, cleaning, cuticles, etc. Straight manicure started at 1:07 completed at 1:26 including dry time. I had some time to kill in downtown LaGrange and came across Nail Station when dropping off mail at the post office. On a whim I walked in to see if they could accommodate a walk in appointment. For $15 plus tip I got a nice basic manicure using OPI nail polish. I noticed they also offer Dazzle, gel and powder dip options. They take credit cards for payment. I provided a cash tip so I don't know if tips can be added to a credit card payment. My only reason for not giving a five star rating is due to the decor. The walls are painted a bright gold and burgundy which I don't find to be a relaxing color combination. If you are looking for a quick manicure I definitely recommend Nail Station. read more

Massage with my pedi? Yes please!!! It was pretty thorough and strong, and included hot stone massage in addition to a thorough one with hands. Oil smelled good but there was a lot of it so beware what pants you wear (they take it off at the end with a hot towel #winning). Just FYI: I asked for a chair massage and pedi - they wanted the pedi first. Good selection of colors (OPI and Essie). Also - totally "first world" of me, but I like that it's quiet in the salon. That the staff didn't talk to me (but smiled and were warm). They had a surprising skill of tapping the legs / feet to tell me how/when/where to put feet. I overheard one staff member answer the phone, "hiiiiii Adrienne!" which is cool (that they know clients). And seemed she booked an appt - thus they offer that as well as walkins. They let me pay with credit card and tip on it too. (You don't write in tip - they ask for it before they run the card.) Chair massage was good. "Asian" in the sense that it's hard and thorough and they press on base of neck, which can be a little disconcerting. I am sensitive to males massaging and I felt he was respectful of my body and his space in it - if you know what I mean. Prices were awesome!! $1 per min chair massage and $25 pedi - woah! Amazing nail place. The people who own it are so kind and welcoming. They will do massages with hot stones and if you have to wait they'll give you a back massage. Not very happy. I made an appointment for a COLOR CHANGE on both my toes and nails. This place doesn't have a website, but I found that a color change was $7 on some other websites that had reviews and their prices. Those prices must have been old because when I went to pay for my COLOR CHANGE, I was told it was $25. That's $10 less than an actual mani and pedi ($35) that I should have just spent on to get the actual mani/pedi treatment. When I had asked her about it, no explanation. I went in thinking I was going to spend $14 today, walked out paying $25 for COLOR CHANGE treatment. Two stars, my nails came out nice but ridiculous experience. Don't make the mistake I made and double check they know and YOU know the prices before going. I don't plan on coming back here again. read more

Hands down worst nail service I have ever gotten. I don't even feel like I had anything done to my desperate for TLC soles or cuticles. Other than the nail polish, my feet look and feel exactly as they did when I came in. My first complaint is that all the dead skin is still on the soles of my feet. Other than a totally pathetic, like warm scrub with a pumice stone there was no attempt to remove the dead skin or callouses. When I inquired about this, they said they don't do anything else at all. I've been to nail shops where they will use foot files and other hand held buffers to exfoliate. Apparently, nothing like that exists here?? Also, they didn't tackle my cuticles at all. I don't know if it had to do with two separate people working on my feet (they kept switching) that this huge oversight happened. I basically paid $25 for a nail polish change which makes me so angry. Lastly, the nail shop has an extremely strong and unpleasant smell. I had to breathe through my mouth the whole entire time I was here. Needless to say, I'd be giving this place zero stars if I could and believe me when I say I WILL NEVER EVER BE BACK. read more

I have been going to nail station for several years periodically and it is such a treat and is affordable. With manicures a short massage is given to upper back shoulders and neck including hot stones. Pedicures also include a hot stone leg massage. Joe is the master massager and was trained in medical massage ( I believe he told me once) in Korea where he is from. Suzy is the main queen of manicures and is always cheerful and detail oriented. Appointments are preferred over walk ins though I usually just call for a same day appointment. I always feel good about giving this place business and I leave feeling pampered and ready to return to my busy life. I do agree with another reviewer that the decor needs updating, the colors are clashing and not relaxing. read more

In 2014 I have them 5 stars. I'm genuinely sorry to say that the experience here has severely diminished. Now it is an assembly line experience where the 3 employees take as many customers as they can at once and do multiple mani pedis at the same time so that there is no more personal experience and you have to wait over an hour to complete your mani or pedi. Why? 1 staff member is working on 3 or 4 customers at once. I got so tired of arriving and being the only one worked on by 1 staff member only to have people walk in and have that staff member stop my service and start on two other people's service before getting back to me - I stopped going. Try Broken Nail across the street or the new Pink Caviar in downtown Brookfield where one person works on ONLY YOU until your service is done before moving to the next customer. read more

I love their mani pedi special Only for $29.It is always clean and staff is nice and will do anything to accommodate your time, even giving a mani/pedi at the same time if I am short on time. I have been going to this place regularly for several months. I usually get a pedicure and no chip manicure. Every pedicure and no chip comes with a wonderful hot rock massage which would be an additional cost at most places. My no chips always last the normal two weeks. I'm not sure when all of the poor reviews are from but it looks like they are from before the current owners and the most recent seems to just be pushing another business. Oh my!!!! What a transformation this place has undergone. New management?! Idk?! But it is cleaner with friendly staff. The BEST and MOST IMPORTANT part of the change is the amazing pedicure. I've never ever had a pedicure like this!!! A woman started and did all the scrubbing and trimming of toenails, then a very kind and calm man came over to do a massage of my calves and feet! Oh. And before he showed up, the woman had done a salt scrub up and down my calves. The man proceeded to do a massage with oils. THEN.....HOT ROCKS were rubbed around up and down my calves and bottoms of my feet and arches. Truly the best massage ever. Then the woman returned to do the polish. I had my nails done 3 days ago and they are still perfect- no chips, no scratches. It should be noted I'm a hands on person, scrubbed my dishes by hand minus gloves- even with Ajax which I was sure would remove some of the nail color, did some yard work, chemical cleaning... yep, it's all good!! read more

I came in without an appointment and though two women had just walked in ahead of me, I was taken right away (all three of us were). Two different people worked on me--assembly line style, but that was absolutely no bother to me as I was constantly attended to. The hot stone foot and leg massage was hands down the best I've ever had outside of a day spa. The place was clean and cute too. I don't know what all the bad reviews are. I go here almost every week for the last 6 months or so for a manicure or pedicure and they always do a great job. Always get in quickly and get in and out, which I like. They also do a few minute hot stone back massage with a manicure, or a hot stone leg massage with a pedicure. The worst pedi ever!!! The older gentleman started the pedi with Freezing water. When I alerted him, he barely adjusted the temperature. My feet were barely wet when started my service. He cleaned my nails and cuticles in 60secs. He barely removed all of the old polish. The exfoliation took 60secs. The foot and leg massage was 5mins. Then, the older lady came to trim my nails and cuticles, and polish. Oh, but before she did, she had to remove the old polish. I will not be going back. read more

I've tried thus place twice, and both times, very unimpressed. The prices here are very slightly less than magic nails, which is where I prefer to go and will continue to go. This time around, I waited 25 minutes even though I had an appointment. And this was just for a manicure. After the manicure was done, they put a fan on my nails and every nail got very bubbly. When I said something and asked if they could fix it, they fix the two worst, and left the rest. So after wasting over an hour of time, I have a terrible looking manicure to show for it.
