They didn't have a lot of menus to look at (and the electronic menu is problematic because they have to scroll through their entire gigantic list of offerings.) This is one of my favorite places to eat in Kissimmee. I used to come here a lot with my dad before he passed away. I remember my dad loved coming here. We would work out at the gym and come here together. We always ordered the same thing each time. The food here is so delicious. I love coming here. The staff doesn't speak much English but I know enough Spanish and they know enough English that we can order comfortably. The staff is so kind and super friendly. 3.5-4 stars! Food was served piping hot and presented nicely. Food was a bit on the oily side but still tasty. I always order the fried snapper for the great price, it could use a bit more seasoning but I enjoy the fresh salsas along with it. "Gets the job done".... Are the words that come to my mind when I think about La Granja. I have been to multiple locations in the past but this has been only my second time visiting this location. It is located conveniently within the Walmart plaza. The location itself has a lot of parking and is pretty big and clean on the inside. Lots of seating. I recently went last night nearing closing time, so lucky enough for me it was not that busy. The team member at the cash register was very nice and very apologetic...since we had a bit of a language barrier but she was able to assist me with no issues at all! I ordered the steak Super Bowl and let me tell y'all the portion was pretty big. The steak Super Bowl came with rice, beans, corn, peppers, onions, maduros and lastly you guessed it... steak. It was actually seasoned very well and had a lot of flavor! The one thing I will say... is that everything felt just a slight bit over cooked since the rice was super soft and the beef was a bit tough... but honestly I was so hungry that it was not a dealbreaker for me. Oh and we cannot forget about the sauce bar which is my absolute favorite part of this restaurant. If you love onions... you will love all the sauces. From and onion garlic sauce, onion hot sauce and onion salsa... It is an onion lovers dream. I say over all La Granja is usually a safe option for me every time I want a filling meal at a affordable price. I have been a longtime fan of La Granja. I first found them while riding my motorcycle down south Florida and came across the Fort Pierce, Florida location. I was so happy when they had a location in Orlando Florida they have headed a few more locations around here and while I was on business down and Kissimmee I came across this location. La Granja specializes in chicken. They have plenty of other options on the menu but I have always gone back to the chicken my go to on the menu is the half chicken with the rice and beans. It is amazing and truly rises above the fast food environment that you feel that you are sitting in. Service at this location, as all the other locations that I have been to, has always been good. The price is always been competitive, as well. La Granja it's a great option if you are looking for a quick meal at an affordable price. It is also a great meal. Since moving south to Florida we have become pretty adventurous eaters and when we spot a new place we enjoy stopping and trying and today was definitely a win! La Granja is a chain that has finally come to Kissimmee and this is one girl that is welcoming it with open arms. They have a huge selection of Latin American flavors to choose from and I love that the menu is bilingual as well as all of the signage around the store. After pouring over the menu I settled on a Fried fish sandwich, fries and Tres Leches. Everything is made to order and the sweet young lady struggled a little with English but she did well which the trainer in me was a little proud of her. After paying we got our drinks and found our seats. When our food was ready they called our number and because we had 2 trays they helped bring our food to the table. Everything looked delicious and we soon found out, looks were not deciving. The taste was equal as well. I had heard of la granja for years even before I moved here from Miami! For the price and quality of food I was beyond impressed. It's basically like a far enhanced pollo tropical with a Peruvian twist (which I love since Peruvian is my all time favorite food type) My boyfriend and I got the chicken dinners which were amazing, the rotisserie chicken is so juicy and flavorful and it comes with two sides! They had a whole array of sauces to choose from as well so there's definitely one for everyone to enjoy! We also got the ceviche de pescado which was very good and super fresh. The only thing I didn't love was the tres leches which tasted a little off. You can tell it's from a third party vendor so at least I know it wasn't the restaurant that made it as everything else they have was so good. They have a sauce bar where you can help yourself, but also have some sauces at the table. The menu has options for every taste, beef, chicken, fish, seafood. I had the spicy fish with rice and black beans, which was delicious and the portion was big. My friend ordered the Ceviche, and honestly two people could have eaten out of his portion. This is the Super Bowl of La Granjas. We've eaten at plenty of the Fort Lauderdale/ Palm Beach locations but none of them were like this one. This one had menu items and specials we never saw before. It also was very spacious and updated. The food was delicious, as always.
