    Pupusa pork and cheese
    Thama P.

This place is just scrumptious! I never had pupusas prior to this restaurant and I'm so happy I've tried them! They were so yummy! The pork, the pork, the pork just set it off! The highlight of the dish. So flavorful, seasoned just right. The cheese was melty and yet the outside had a sight crisp. Which for me is just what I look for different flavor and texture combinations and this delivered that! The he slaw on the side was a perfect fresh element to the richness. I would highly recommend!

You gotta love this Place. Unassuming from the outside, much bigger on the inside. Booths and tables, small and large available. You can even find a bar in here. The menu is quite extensive. My recommendation is to try the pupusas, which are served with a tasty tomato sauce in a squirt bottle along with a sort of spicy slaw, not creamy, hard to describe other than delish. The plantains are yummy here. Nicely done and a generous portion. For a cold night I highly recommend a big hot chocolate. You won't be disappointed with that at all. Just be careful, it is served piping hot, don't burn yourself. For your first visit I suggest one of the various sampler platters. This way you can sample a lot of items from the menu and then decide on your favorites. And the staff is always happy to explain the various items to you. The portions are generous and the prices quite reasonable.

A huge plate of yummy food.

I stopped in here with my best friend for lunch, first let me say the portion of food I got is massive. Second they are super friendly here. I got a combo type meal which to me normally is a bad idea, but here it was amazing. I got to try a little bit of everything and by a little bit, I mean more than should be allowed on one plate for one person. This could have been easily shared with another. This is truly one of those places where you come and plan to share the meal. I love Plantains and this plate offered normal plantains and a plantain pie, OMG (yep I put that is a review) I so need to learn how to make this. It was truly the best thing that has happened on a plate of food. I will gladly come back here again, and again. Okay lets be honest here, I live 2 hours away and I am already planning to drive back over just so I can eat here. If you are in the area and don't try this place don't blame me.

In quest of the finest taco in Indiana, tried this unreviewed little restaurant just off Girls School road on the west side. The repurposed strip mall has seen better days but we were delighted by the clean interior of the little restaurant decorated with live plants and items from El Salvador. Seating is mostly booths. There were about 20 tables inside. Our server, Jiman, was friendly and attentive as we worked our way through the menu. He brought us water with lime and complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa was hot and spicy and woke up my tastebuds. We ordered a chicken and a steak taco each. And also an order of sweet corn tamales. The food came out quickly and hot. The traditional street tacos were served with meat and topped with onions and fresh cilantro and served with large juicy lime wedges. The roasted chicken was juicy and flavorful. The steak taco was good as well. Both were served on white corn tortillas. The tacos were excellent....and filling. The sweet corn tamales were (no kidding) sweet like a dessert. They were served hot. There was no filling but the tamale was rich with corn. Sour cream was included for dipping. The tamales were not traditionally what I expected but excellent. I will dream about those tamales. You must try at least once. They serve beer and drinks but we did not try. They have a full menu of interesting options including breakfast. Prices range from inexpensive to higher. We will be back and perhaps regulars!

ALERT! ALERT! This food hits the right places! I can't elaborate on how delighted my taste buds are everytime I eat food here (especially their pupusas). As for the service, I considered them to be polite and present the food in a very well mannered way. A very welcoming place, tho depending if they are busy or not their might be some waiting. As for the atmosphere, I can't elaborate on how close it hits to home. Please take into consideration this is from my experience alone. I enjoy the restaurant and the community from it! This is my ONLY go to place for Salvadoran food!

(Based on my experience) I ordered a few pupusas and tacos to go and was told the food would be ready in 10 minutes- however it took 35 minutes. it's okay if they are busy but I think they could have just told me at one point it would take much longer than expected. There seemed to be just two people working there. There was someone who was waiting longer than I was. It was very cold inside which did not help when I was waiting for so long. I was disappointed with the wait time, however the pupusas were amazing. The hot sauce and slaw(?) that came with them were great too. I especially liked the one with chicken and cheese. In the future I will always call ahead of time to place an order rather than waiting there, and I advise everyone to do so.

The first Wednesday I showed up they told me it would be over an hour for my order. I didn't have an hour to wait. They gave me a business card and told me to order ahead of time next week. I called about 2:00 and ordered one of each of the variety that they have. I know there was cheese, bean, bean & cheese and meat. Well there are 6 to choose from and we tried them all. When I arrived at 5:00 to pick up my order it was ready. I paid and headed home to eat with my family. All 6 were in one container and I had no clue which was which. Some of them were very greasy. I had to lay them out on paper towels. The cheese was my favorite. There is a small dining room and a full menu. But on this visit we just tried the special.

They were busy at lunch with eat-in and carry-out orders. The parking lot was full. But we're we're able to get a table for two. When we came in, they called out their English speaking server, Karla. Karla was supper friendly and attentive. I had two of their special pupusas. They were served with limes, sauce and curcido, which is a spicy marinated cabbage mix. The shrimp pupusas is stuffed with bits of shrimp mixed with a generous amount of creamy cheese. The chicken pupusas was filled with a lot of chicken and small amount of cheese. Both pupusas were excellent. I also had a chicken taco, which was a pretty standard Street taco. The chicken was moist and yummy. The restaurant and parking lot could use some love. The dining room could use a coat of fresh paint and have ceiling tiles repaired. The parking lot needs to have potholes fixed and could use some lines. That said, I'd come back in a heartbeat. The food is that good.

The staff was also incredibly friendly and we loved the opportunity to only speak Spanish during our visit. Can't wait for our next visit!

The food is absolutely delicious. I personally love their pork dishes and the beef empanada for an appetizer. The moro rice as well as the yellow rice are both so tasty. I prefer the sweet plantains over the tostones, but that's just my preference. And don't forget to indulge in a dessert or maybe a Cuban coffee after your meal. I tend to bring my foodie group here regularly and while they are a picky bunch, I have not heard any complaints about the food here. The prices are still very reasonable and the service friendly.

The food was edible. The people serving and making the food are not Cuban and have a really hostile attitude. We were immediately seated and our food came out rather quick (15-20) minutes after placing the order. The lady the entire time was almost rushing us and trying to get us to order more than what we wanted. The food was hot but did not have a fresh/authentic taste coming from a Cuban.. At the end of it we were overall satisfied with our food and were paying when the lady took the paying machine from my husband insisting he tipped %15. He was tipping a custom amount to make the amount even but she said it was usual for people to leave %15. He asked if it was obligation to select the %15 option or if he could put the custom amount he wanted and she said he could put whatever but people usually put %15.. My husband then paid no mind to it because she was just confused probably thinking he was going to pay less than %15 percent. She then grabbed the machine and his card and said "No. Don't. It doesn't matter," had him pay, and stormed back into the kitchen saying "Next time i will put it in there myself." There wont be a next time, at least not from us. I was very disappointed with the service at this restaurant.
