The wait staff was friendly, and the food was delicious. I had the 10 oz Ribeye, and it was cooked to perfection.

Here's the thing man, this place is good. However just like others have stated in their reviews boy o boy they do take quite the time to get your food to you. Service is good, but brace yourself you're going to be eating a couple bowls of chips before you get your plate. The food on the other hand is great! It really does taste good. If you don't mind waiting an hour or a little over to get food then this isn't a bad place. It is agitating waiting so long however. Again great food though.

I decided to stay with the Mexican food theme. I had a taco, an enchilada, and a chile relleno. Everything was good! I haven't had a good chile relleon in a long time, and this one was good. The sauce was good on the enchilada. Everything was good. I had a tickle in my throat, and the chile was a bit spicy and made me cough, but it was good. I enjoyed the food and the company. If I am in the area again I will come back.

The restrooms were retro, very 90s, run down but clean, and if I was running from the Sinaloa Cartel...I could picture myself hiding in a place like this. Almost like a mix between the films Memento and Breaking Bad. But yes, Lisa's Grill. I had to stop in at this Southwestern Flare Diner! It's situated inside the truck stop, with a very 70s & 80s atomic age diners vibe like that one scene in the Kingsmen movie. Loved the ceiling, bold colored red, glossy, with silver...makes Johnny Rockets look artificial. So I had to try their top picks on the menu. The Red Rooster -- country fried steak with red hot sauce, and their hatch chilli burgers. The food was ok, Id probably rate a 3.5/5. Menu is heavily influenced by Spanish cuisine. If your looking for a quick breakfast along route 66 in Central New Mexico, this is a good spot to take a break. Overall service, environment food I'd give it a 4/5. Seems pretty popular amongst the locals, and place is pretty packed for a lunch run. Yea, definitely come check it out!

I got the steak and cheese enchiladas and although the steak was overcooked it was still juicy (I prefer medium rare) and the enchiladas were AMESOME! I was so pleased; great sauces and cheese and just very well balanced. The dessert type thing that came with was delicious too. It came with honey packets but I ate it plain because I thought it was sweet enough naturally. Yum!! Highly recommend. My husband had a burger and said it was great too plus the service was outstanding and sincerely friendly. It was only $20 for both of us to eat.

Recently we were passing through and were looking for something quicker and cheaper, so we stopped in at the Breezy Rain Cafe. There were a lot of cars in the lot, which is usually a good sign. It turns out the cars were there for a local function in the banquet room. The dining area was empty, not a good sign. but it looked like a nice place so we sat down anyway. It seemed better when a few parties arrived after we were seated. I was excited to see Flat Enchiladas on the menu and two of us ordered those; one with the red sauce and one with the green. The third ordered a Hamburger. None of these dishes were acceptable. Both of the enchiladas were served barely warm with uncooked tortillas. The beef filling was okay, but nothing special. Both sauces were abysmal and tasted canned. The lettuce tasted like it was the bagged kind with the nasty bitter so-callled 'natural' preservative. The cheese and tomatoes were fine, but by then who cares. The beans were obviously canned, and the spanish style rice clearly came from a box and was flavorless. Our friends hamburger was not any better. On top of the poor food, the service was terrible. I hate to blame the brand spanking new waitress because she was left alone with little or no training. I guess the experienced servers were in the banquet room. Suffice it to say, we will not be back, and cannot recommend it, When in Moriarty, try Buford's first.
