    Steak Taco
    Hannah V.

Took a taco tour around town, and this place has the best salsa. It's located right in the middle of downtown where you actually walk into the bus to order. There are a few tables outside to enjoy the food or benches inside. The meat was very well seasoned but the tortilla was wet & soggy by the way they wrapped it up. The food came out pretty quickly and the servers were all very helpful and patient. My friend thought it was the best place out of the three we tried in town. The pickled vegetables on the side were a nice touch.

Las Palimatas is La Jungle in al old bus. It has very affordable Mexican food. Chicken street tacos were devoured by a 4,6,10 year old. I got 3 enchiladas, shredded beef, regular beef and chicken with rice and beans. Equally authentic and delicious. Check them out and eat outdoors in the shade. Very clean

Affordable good Mexican food in a fun atmosphere. Quality street tacos and amazing refried beans.

    Carnitas plate and enchiladas verdes

Perfect for after a day of hiking and exploring! We ordered the carnitas plate, which was the winner, as well as enchiladas verdes. The carnitas was crisped on a flat top (key when restaurants do this) with a heavy pepper flavor which was a little different but good. The chicken was ok but overall a solid spot in a small town.

I initially had my doubts about this cozy place, but I've also heard that most of the authentic Mexican foods start this way, so wanted to give it a try. Ceviche being among my favorite Mexican foods, I chose Tostada ceviche. The flavor it had was just out of the world. The shrimp quantity was perfect, the crispy tortilla topped with ceviche was just what I wanted when I wasn't in mood for cheese. Definitely highly recommend this place in West yellowstone.

Chile relleno and tostada. The Chile relleno was terrible!

My meal from here was just not good at all. I got the Chile relleno and tostada. Tostada was ok and relleno was terrible. It was clearly a sauce from a can and the pepper was pickled and weird. I don't know what kind of Chile relleno that was but certainly not good. Mexican food is usually always a safe bet, even in tiny towns, but this is probably the worst Mexican food I've ever had. I'm giving it 3 stars because I saw some other peoples boxes that had ordered tacos and to be fair, the tacos did look good.

After a long day in Yellowstone I was craving Mexican food and something different from the standard American meal. I stumbled across "Las Palmitas"! You climb aboard the bus and stand in line to place your order. After placing your order you wait outside on one of the benches and wait for your number to be called. Once your number has been called, you pick up your food from a window on the side of the bus. I ordered one shredded beef taco, and two chicken tacos. They came with rice, beans, a Mexican salad, and spicy red salsa! This meal was beyond delicious and also authentic!!! The flavors reminded me of Northern Mexico! The staff here is also very kind and welcoming! If I was not flying back home the next day, I would have tried more dishes. If I am ever in Yellowstone again I will definitely try more of their food! Cheers to good eats!

We ended up eating in Las Palmitas two nights in a row because every other place in west Yellowstone was packed and had over one hour wait times. Las Palmitas is uncomplicated, walk into a school bus, place your order and wait for it in the patio. Lots of people just do takeout so it was easy enough to find a table opening one night and the other night we shared a table with another couple who had extra seats. The food is good but nothing out of the ordinary. I was not blown away by the flavor or the presentation but it was fast, cheap and efficient. The Enchiladas are a safe choice !

Solid nachos al pastor, though the tortillas were not made fresh and there weren't any pineapple bits, the pickled jalapeños elevated the flavor and the red salsa had a great vinegar note. Order in the "food truck" and pick up through a side window--bench provided for a step up! Sit in one of the picnic benches (with umbrellas) along the side.

This is a Mexican food truck in West Yellowstone which serves casual food and is also run by the saltiest 12 year old girl I've ever seen. We came around 6pm on a Friday night while visiting Yellowstone National park. My husband ordered inside and our food was ready shortly after. When I came inside to get the food, the child rolled her eyes at me because she'd called our number twice. My husband and I laughed about it after because we'd honestly never seen such a girl. The food was just okay.

Aroma was wafting to our nose and it was irresistible! Walked up to the truck , saw the boards of people waiting and got in line to order. What choice did we have? Lol We got the carnitas tacos 2,5 stars and also steak asada 2.5 stars. Sorry but Tacos were filled with extremely dry meat. With no pico de Gallo or a dab of salsa , it was hard fir my hubby to swallow and he ended up throwing the plate away.

Enchiladas Verde and 3 Tacos Plate with Rice and Beans

La Jungla is a cute food truck just out side of Yellowstone National Park. They serve everything from tacos to ceviche all Mexican staples . La Jungla's service was very fast and the servers were kind but the service was nothing special. The ambiance was quite cute with an indoor seating in the food truck which was so cute and lots of tables for seating outside of the restaraunt. They had a concise menu where I ordered the pastor, picadillo, and pollo tacos. I got the taco plate so the tacos came with rice and beans. Overall it was an ok dish. The tacos were tasty, but the meat was quite dry and the portions weren't to my liking. The rice and beans were also ok. The pricing was quite affordable so if you want a quick spot to eat right after coming from Yellowstone this would be a good place to eat, but otherwise I wouldn't recommend La Jungla to others.

    Cute place

The Falafel Spot - Falafel humus plate: amazing humus, great falafel, light and delicious

Spending three days in West Yellowstone, Montana, I didn't conduct a thorough research for vegan…read moreoptions, so after leaving Yellowstone late last night many restaurants were already closed. I got scared because I didn't want to solely eat protein bars. I quick Google and Yelp search secured this falafel spot. I was shocked and didn't expect to find falafels in Montana of all places. Thankfully, the falafels are VEGAN!! It's a one man show meaning, the owner takes the orders and cooks the food. The falafels are MADE to ORDER, so the wait time is quite long. He takes two orders per person not to lose track of orders. I ordered the falafel combo which comes with six falafels, rice, hummus, a small salad, and a drink all for $20/even. Even though the card machine says $.60 cent tax, the owner won't accept and is firm about the solid bill. Now for the food: the falafels were very tasty. Savory; not gritty or chunky. The falafels are hockey pucks, not round balls. I appreciate the shape since they were easier to dig out the hummus. The hummus was not my favorite thing. It tasted like straight tahini with chickpeas. No lemony flavor. It wasn't gross, but the taste of tahini is acquired alone. The salad is a mixture of onions, shredded lettuce, and tomatoes. Nothing extravagant, but was fresh. The rice is yellow with faint seasoning, but it is delicious fluffy and cooked well. The location is a tad bit confusing though; if using Google maps it'll take you to the wrong Chevron. To locate the food truck, go to the Chevron gas station in front of a clothing store and next general store with the ice cream out front. The owner was very nice and on a Saturday night, he didn't close at 10pm like Google says. It stays open later. Food hit the spot after exploring Yellowstone all day. I slept like a baby!

I've had a lot of falafel so I know good falafel when I have it. We had the combo plate (very large…read moreportion) and a Regular wrap. Both were excellent and made very fresh. The guy that runs it (Alon I think) takes pride in his food and you can tell. West Yosemite seems to be a desert for good, healthy fresh food but The Falafel Spot was the oasis.

One of few venues that would take reservations of this size group. They have a good amount of indoor seating. We sat on the umbrellaed patio, near the musician, just around the corner of the bar from games like cornhole. They were busy, but service was attentive. Many of us had craft beers and cocktails. Everyone was pleased, but i could not list all the beverages for you. We had at least one yummy fresh arugula salad with sirloin cooked-to-order and a lot of flavorful bacon, blue cheese crumbles, green onion, tomatoes, balsamic glaze, and thick "Texas" toast. We shared a number of the many appetizers: Crispy-coated sweet-chili Thai Shrimp were rather small but quite tasty. The tray of nachos was a glorious mess of beans, sauces and crema, mixed melty cheeses, olives, and meat ... i think we got the rich ground "buffalo". The "buffalo balls" were even messier: meatballs in deep gravy over mashed potatoes smothered in sautéed onions and mushrooms. We had "chicken "bites" with two of their yummy flavorings. The soft pretzels and cheese were long thick almost-loaves. And i completely lost track of the mains: several of their loaded burgers and overloaded tacos. The star was the 12oz medium-rare ribeye, topped with herb butter & demi glacé, loaded garlic redskin mashed potatoes, & thick garlic toast. This was a great immersion in great food, drink, ant atmosphere. The $44 ribeye was one of the top-two steaks we had during our trip. (July 2026). Pro tip: every steak is town was good, even the bargains you can find with a little hunting. But be sure to pay a little more once or twice to get the best.

The photos looked amazing, so after we checked in, we drove a few blocks to the place. Parking is limited but we luckily scored a spot. Atmosphere is very cool, bar/restaurant like with sports playing on large TVs throughout. It was kind of warm in there...not sure if they had a working A/C or if it just couldn't keep up with the bodies inside. There was a wait to be seated but not too bad. Maybe 15 mins and the place was packed. We were seated at a bar-like table between the actual bar seating and tables. The waitress was nice and had personality but was a bit stressed out and a little testy after we asked about our food 30+ mins after ordering it. Even the drinks took a long time to be served. I finally gave up and ran to the restroom...of course the food came as soon as I left. It works that way a lot for me. lol The drinks were good - the food was pretty good. Prices are expensive here, but pretty much on par with the rest of the restaurants in town. It's a tourist town in high season and they all know it. We determined not to come back for the next day's meals based on the slow speed of service and try different places in town instead.
