Don't believe bad reviews! NOT TRUE! James, the owner, personally greeted us. He was very sweet and personable during our entire visit in his restaurant. We like James's professionalism, efficiency and food! It was very cool learning that he actually has a perfect palate which makes perfect tasting dishes for his customers! While in college, James told us he worked as a server and instinctively knew when a plate wasn't right and had no qualms in telling the cooks before dropping the plate into his customers tables. He was always right! Example: when customers ordered medium rare and james knew it wasn't, the executive chef would look at it and tell him he's correct while telling line cook that meat was made wrong! Lol. We love James attention to detail and unwavering principle of serving higher quality food for his customers. We taste fresh ingredients first hand on our tongues and in our happy stomachs. Hamburger- 6.5 oz of good quality beef which was hand pressed and cooked to perfection. This juicy burger was one of the best we've ever eaten! Very moist ! Came with lettuce, pickle, onion and tomato. Choice of cheddar, American, Swiss, pepper jack cheese. Fries served with it too! $12.50 (5 stars) Tuna Salad- Salad greens mixed with fresh veggies, Parmesan cheese and a hella delicious hone made tuna salad mixed with just a touch of mayonnaise. It was crazy awesome! $11.50 (5 stars) When in West Yellowstone, don't miss this local gem ! We're coming back!

Excellent service and food! We stopped in this little cafe on our way to The Grand Tetons. It's slightly off the main stretch but we'll worth the additional 2-3 minutes. The service was top notch and friendly. The food was seasoned perfectly and delicious! I loved the Eggs Benedict. We left feeling like locals and will definitely be back.

Great place to go while waiting for my flight to arrive. The owner is super friendly and nice. As others have said, it's a one man show. The owner runs back and forth between the kitchen and getting orders. He tells you ahead of time it may take a while. I ordered the lobster roll and it was great, different then I've ever had before but great.. The food came out a lot quicker than I expected and prices were very reasonable.

The Falafel Spot - Falafel humus plate: amazing humus, great falafel, light and delicious

Spending three days in West Yellowstone, Montana, I didn't conduct a thorough research for vegan…read moreoptions, so after leaving Yellowstone late last night many restaurants were already closed. I got scared because I didn't want to solely eat protein bars. I quick Google and Yelp search secured this falafel spot. I was shocked and didn't expect to find falafels in Montana of all places. Thankfully, the falafels are VEGAN!! It's a one man show meaning, the owner takes the orders and cooks the food. The falafels are MADE to ORDER, so the wait time is quite long. He takes two orders per person not to lose track of orders. I ordered the falafel combo which comes with six falafels, rice, hummus, a small salad, and a drink all for $20/even. Even though the card machine says $.60 cent tax, the owner won't accept and is firm about the solid bill. Now for the food: the falafels were very tasty. Savory; not gritty or chunky. The falafels are hockey pucks, not round balls. I appreciate the shape since they were easier to dig out the hummus. The hummus was not my favorite thing. It tasted like straight tahini with chickpeas. No lemony flavor. It wasn't gross, but the taste of tahini is acquired alone. The salad is a mixture of onions, shredded lettuce, and tomatoes. Nothing extravagant, but was fresh. The rice is yellow with faint seasoning, but it is delicious fluffy and cooked well. The location is a tad bit confusing though; if using Google maps it'll take you to the wrong Chevron. To locate the food truck, go to the Chevron gas station in front of a clothing store and next general store with the ice cream out front. The owner was very nice and on a Saturday night, he didn't close at 10pm like Google says. It stays open later. Food hit the spot after exploring Yellowstone all day. I slept like a baby!

I've had a lot of falafel so I know good falafel when I have it. We had the combo plate (very large…read moreportion) and a Regular wrap. Both were excellent and made very fresh. The guy that runs it (Alon I think) takes pride in his food and you can tell. West Yosemite seems to be a desert for good, healthy fresh food but The Falafel Spot was the oasis.

I've ordered a LOT of fish tacos in my life (including in Mexico). Most have tiny amounts of fish in a huge amount of dry batter, or mushy fish or fishy fish or... NOT SO at Sweet Breeze. The fried fish/batter ratio is prefect. The fish is delicious. Next I want to talk about the mango/cabbage/onion/chili pepper topping. Fresh, flavorable, colorful like a beautiful artistic bouquet. I imagine one could ask to have the peppers or onions held but I say it's a perfect mix as is. The sauce is *kiss* just right, with just the right amount of spicy hot (and I am a "tender" mouth person, I always have to ask that the spices be dialed back. ) Their spice/peppers has just the right amount of heat. Add in fresh chips...crunchy and also fresh. Free ambiance bonus: In summer there is canopy covered outdoor dining area surrounded by exuberant flowers growing in planter boxes. What a visual treat! Nice place to hang out for a bit while the meal is being cooked up to order. I also ordered the fresh squeezed lemonade with huckleberry syrup added in. BIG cup, not just filled with ice and a little lemonade. No sir...there was plenty of lemonade, really generous amount. The owners: Why aren't all restaurant owners as cheerful and careful to get the order perfect even with special requests? Like they made me feel like they were so happy to make ME happy as a guest, even on days when the place is hopping with young families feeding their kids. If I could clone these owners to have them in business across America I would! If you are heading up Highway 20 above Island Park, look for them doing their thing in the colorful trailer and turn on your turn signal to head into the parking area because you should go get a meal and a "to go" order too. The menu is HUGE! Breakfast and Lunch! Burrito I'd never though of myself Cuban crepes? Next visit I gotta give that a try.

Our server was very friendly and conversational and recommended some of their best meals. We went with the elk ravioli and lasagna. The ravioli was good but the lasagna was very oily which was a bit off-putting. "The revolution will not be televised And will not star…read moreNatalie Woods and Steve McQueen or Bullwinkle and Julia" (Gil Scott-Heron) Dinner at Bullwinkle's was a very pleasant experience. First of all, we were thrilled to see it was open, as so many of West Yellowstone's restaurants had already closed for the season. It was a real neighborhood kind of a place, and by that I mean totally unpretentious and without any of the foo-foo fanciness that pops up in resort towns now and again. Their menu was solid -and concentrated on burgers, sandwiches, steaks, local elk, bison and walleye, and Italian Pasta with a "Montana Twist". More on that soon. We started off with a complimentary basket of house baked bread that was so good it just about disappeared in ten minutes. I felt like having a beer, so checked out their beer list of local beers before choosing a Halo Huckleberry Hefe ($6) by Lewis and Clark Brewing of Helena, Montana. Huckleberry is a local specialty, and nearly every gift shop sold jam, jelly, honey, and candies made from it. We both love Italian food, so we zeroed in on those Italian Pasta with a Montana Twist specialties. My wife chose the Bolognese ($23.99) for "Elk and bison meat sauce tossed with rigatoni pasta and topped with shaved Parmesan cheese." I went with the Meatballs ($24.99) for "Elk and bison meatballs tossed with bucatini pasta and house-made marinara sauce". Wowie... were both dishes great. The Elk and Bison tasted pretty close to beef, and I have to say my meatballs were excellent. I tried a bite of the Rigatoni Bolognese and it was also excellent. The house made marinara was a standout. Our server Emily was a charmer and really enhanced our dining experience. Simply put, we loved Bullwinkles and thought a $57 dinner with a drink and great food is a very solid value.
