    Bison burger

It's a food truck, so seating outside. We went on a very nice night, but it was cool out. Took about 15 mins to get our food. I had the bison burger and my wife had the fish and chips. Both were excellent. Another couple said the lobster grilled cheese is their favorite thing in town. I didn't try it, but it sounds good. If you want something quick but tasty, this is a good place to get it.

My wife is gluten sensitive and this was the first time she has had fish and chips in a long time. All of the food was amazing and our family of 7 highly recommend! James and Kate were so friendly

Don't believe bad reviews! NOT TRUE! James, the owner, personally greeted us. He was very sweet and personable during our entire visit in his restaurant. We like James's professionalism, efficiency and food! It was very cool learning that he actually has a perfect palate which makes perfect tasting dishes for his customers! While in college, James told us he worked as a server and instinctively knew when a plate wasn't right and had no qualms in telling the cooks before dropping the plate into his customers tables. He was always right! Example: when customers ordered medium rare and james knew it wasn't, the executive chef would look at it and tell him he's correct while telling line cook that meat was made wrong! Lol. We love James attention to detail and unwavering principle of serving higher quality food for his customers. We taste fresh ingredients first hand on our tongues and in our happy stomachs. Hamburger- 6.5 oz of good quality beef which was hand pressed and cooked to perfection. This juicy burger was one of the best we've ever eaten! Very moist ! Came with lettuce, pickle, onion and tomato. Choice of cheddar, American, Swiss, pepper jack cheese. Fries served with it too! $12.50 (5 stars) Tuna Salad- Salad greens mixed with fresh veggies, Parmesan cheese and a hella delicious hone made tuna salad mixed with just a touch of mayonnaise. It was crazy awesome! $11.50 (5 stars) When in West Yellowstone, don't miss this local gem ! We're coming back!

Excellent service and food! We stopped in this little cafe on our way to The Grand Tetons. It's slightly off the main stretch but we'll worth the additional 2-3 minutes. The service was top notch and friendly. The food was seasoned perfectly and delicious! I loved the Eggs Benedict. We left feeling like locals and will definitely be back.

Great place to go while waiting for my flight to arrive. The owner is super friendly and nice. As others have said, it's a one man show. The owner runs back and forth between the kitchen and getting orders. He tells you ahead of time it may take a while. I ordered the lobster roll and it was great, different then I've ever had before but great.. The food came out a lot quicker than I expected and prices were very reasonable.

I arrived around 7 PM and grabbed a seat at the bar since I was dining solo. The restaurant was busy, but the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. For dinner, I ordered the Chicken Prosciutto Pasta with a side of bread. The pasta was outstanding -- easily one of the best pasta dishes I've had in a long time. The combination of braised chicken, prosciutto, mushrooms, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and creamy parmesan-mascarpone sauce came together perfectly. Every bite was flavorful, rich, and satisfying without feeling heavy or dry. As someone preparing for a half marathon the next morning, it was the perfect carb-loading meal. I also ordered the Huckleberry Sundae for dessert. If you're visiting the Yellowstone area, do yourself a favor and try something with huckleberries. The ice cream, topping, and whipped cream were fantastic, and it ended up being one of my favorite desserts from the trip. One unexpected bonus was getting to chat with other travelers at the bar, including another runner who was also working toward completing a half marathon in all 50 states. It added to the friendly, welcoming feel of the place. Overall, Madison Crossing Lounge delivered excellent food, a great atmosphere, and a memorable dining experience. I don't hand out many five-star reviews, but this one earned it. If I'm back in West Yellowstone for another race or a visit to Yellowstone National Park, I'll absolutely be returning. I ordered the breakfast burrito with sausage, green bell peppers, onions, and eggs with buttery hash browns on the side, plus the soup of the day which was the Tuscan soup, and both were really good. One of my friends ordered the cinnamon roll pancake, another got the classic breakfast with buffalo sausage (which was surprisingly delicious), and the other ordered a meatless breakfast burrito. Everything at the table looked fresh and hearty. I also loved how easy checkout was. They bring the receipt directly to the table with a QR code so paying was quick and convenient, and our server was super accommodating by splitting the bill four ways with no issue. The restaurant itself has that cute cozy cabin-style feel, plus they sell fun T-shirts and souvenirs inside. Extra shoutout for helping me wrap my breakfast burrito to go before our flight. They brought me foil paper so I could keep it warm, tossed it in my bag, and yep... I ended up eating it on the plane later. Definitely a solid five-star breakfast stop while visiting Yellowstone!

Piecing together that this is a tourist trap town on the outskirts of YNP, I lowered my expectations to like 5/10. Believe me, this is worse than mid. We were famished driving out of Yellowstone after a long day of sightseeing, as most of this place's victims probably are. I grimly perused the menu, and ordered a burger and fries because surelllyyyyyy... they can make a 5/10 burger?! My standards were so low! The bread on the burgers was soggy and gross, the burger wasn't seared at all, and the fries were burnt. Our friend ordered steak: the steak was bright pink through and through and also not even seared... how do you mess up this badly? Do they have a grill back there?? I've cooked steak way better myself on a skillet for way cheaper. A bowl of onion rings with no dipping sauce. Salads with tomatoes sliced round- not diced. I had never seen that before in my life. Other friend got a pizza. She said it was okay, but looking at it I had my doubts. I'll admit I didn't try it because it looked like day old frozen pizza. Mind you if the total bill had been $75, then whatever we were hungry, it's a tourist trap-- No. The total for the food was $148. For 4 people. No drinks at all, just water. I'm so appalled and embarrassed because there were lots of international visitors here for Yellowstone. Probably more than usual if some stopped here during a US visit for the World Cup. They probably come here and believe this abomination is representative of American food. Shameful. I normally wouldn't bring up something like ambiance, but since this place has the audacity to charge nice restaurant prices for food so disgusting I wouldn't even feed it to a dog, the music sucks too. It was the most cliche 70s American bar playlist ever. I personally enjoy that kind of music, but here it feels like rubbing salt in a wound. Positives: Server was nice, poor guy. The French onion soup was actually nice and up to par, but French onion soup is not enough to redeem a place, especially when this place is your first stop in civilization and you're ready to chow down. Next night we skipped West Yellowstone and opted for the gas station by our Airbnb. The hours-old chicken sandwich behind glass was Michelin star compared to this.

We ordered a pound of brisket and a buffalo link. The guy cutting the meat was great--he took our order, cut it, and boxed it up. But the second we moved down the line to get sides and pay, everything went downhill. The staff completely lost track of our food and gave our entire order to the customers ahead of us (who walked away with way more food than they paid for). When we pointed this out, the staff just stared at each other blankly. Instead of doing her job, the cashier was completely checked out, gossiping with the previous customer about whether she was Russian or Romanian. To make it worse, they tried to gaslight us and blame us, claiming we never ordered meat in the first place. Then an older woman (who seemed clueless about what was happening) stepped in, caught a terrible attitude, and kept repeating that they were out of meat and that we hadn't ordered any. The only decent person was the original meat-cutter. He genuinely tried to fix the situation, but by then it was too late because they were completely out of food. This place clearly doesn't care about customer service because they know tourist traffic will keep them busy anyway. Unless they fire the current staff--especially that older lady--and hire people who actually know how to do their jobs, stay far away. There are way better options in town.
