The Lomo Saltado was tender, juicy, and the sauce was savory, slightly sweet, and had a lot of depth. I wish there was more meat compared to everything else. loved that the sauce soaked up into the rice adding even more flavor to the bite. The French fries got soggy so I would suggest eating this first or be prepared to re-heat them if you can. The 1/2 Pollo was also tender, well-seasoned, and flavorful. It was absolutely delicious with the green sauce which cannot be skipped in every single bite. The Chaufa is a Peruvian-style Chinese fried rice mixed with eggs, chives, soy sauce; it compliments the chicken so well and can literally be eaten by itself too. I ordered the Chaufa de camarones which is a Peruvian-style Chinese fried rice mixed with eggs, chives, and soy sauce. It tasted fantastic so good. I ordered this order as a takeout order. Service was okay, I asked to eat inside the restaurant and sit down and the lady at the counter said no because they would need to charge me to sit indoors which I had already paid $20 for the rice meal. The business was empty with only two tables being used so I thought it was not great customer service to not let me sit down and eat my food if the restaurant wasn't busy. Idk why the extra charge was needed, I am a paying customer so I left. I recommend the food but mixed opinions on the customer service experience I had here. I honestly wanted to like this place, i'm a big fan of Peruvian food and we saw a lot of great reviews on Instagram. The food was definitely true to the Peruvian culture. We went to take our food to go, and he brought the containers out and a roach fell on top of my food. I brought it to the servers attention, he definitely looked embarrassed. He came back after and asked us how we liked our food. I told him that it was good, but the Roach thing was a big turn off. He came back and said he was gonna discount my plate that the roach fell on. A very half ass apology we paid and we left. He tried to give us cookies on our way out, but I really don't want anything from this place anymore. Got to try out their Peruvian Rotisserie Chicken and it was quite delicious. The restaurant is bigger than I originally expected too. I ordered online for pick up on a cold weekday and the food was ready when I arrived. Definitely no complaints with the chicken. O.M.G. As a Peruvian born woman, I have never tasted something so authentic since moving to Jersey and even in NYC. INCREDIBLE. I felt like crying when I tasted the chica morada. It tasted like how my grandma use to make it. You can instantly tell they didn't use the powder like most places do. They use the purple corn, and you can taste the pineapple and it is just so delicious. The anticuchos were delicious! The huancaina was so rich and creamy and finger licking good. The choclo con queso and tallarin verde were absolutely delicious. I am so happy I was able to order through Uber Eats to my home in Hoboken. This is now my go to place. Can't wait to invite my family for dinner one day to have them order the whole menu. I hope they open their desserts soon because I know that will be the cherry on top to their menu.
