The West Lovers Lane La La Land is my go-to location. - Atmosphere: This La La Land is on the lower level of a strip mall in Inwood Village. While that type of location may not typically be appealing, they have a cute and well-maintained, yet small, outdoor seating area. There is some indoor seating, but it is limited, so I prefer to visit this location for to-go or to sit outside. - Service: This location provides the typical, friendly La La Land service. I find this tends to be one of the more efficient La La Lands I've visited, even when it's busy. I highly recommend ordering on their app so you can skip the line if there is one. - Drinks and food: La La Land is the queen of matcha. I compare every other matcha to theirs and they almost never live up to the creamy, well mixed matcha at La La Land. Of the signature drinks, my favorites are the strawberry fields, cookies n dream, and lavender bloom lattes. If you're going iced, anything with a cloud is a must! La La Land is always coming up with creative, rotating flavors. I think their pumpkin pie cloud latte is the best pumpkin latte around and I loved their banana latte and matcha squared latte from earlier this year. Food-wise, you can't go wrong with a toast. The MAKA toast is my favorite, but any of their very hearty avocado toasts are also great choices. Besides their cookie, I don't crave their pastries, but the Dubai chocolate croissant is the best one I've had in a while! - Value: La La Land is not cheap, but I always find myself getting a large because their drinks are so delicious and high quality. I really want to love this place, the vibe and menu are great! However, I have to admit, the way they place drinks at the very edge of the counter, where people stand and chat right over them, really creeps me out. I've visited this location several times, and the first time, I noticed it immediately but pushed through despite my fear of oral bacteria since my drink had a lid on it. The second time, I ordered an open-face latte with no lid, and it was the same situation. I walked in to find a woman standing over the drinks, especially mine, talking to the staff behind the counter. Honestly, I wanted to leave the drink behind, but since I had already paid through the app, I took it with me to avoid making a fuss. I ended up throwing the entire drink away because I was still a bit disgusted. La La Land, I'm begging you to reconsider your policy for distributing drinks. I understand that day-to-day operations can be busy, but it would be great if you could implement safer and more hygienic practices rather than placing drinks at the edge where people can stand and talk over them. I saw a few La La Land Kind Cafes while in Dallas and was finally able to try it on our last day before flying out. The ambiance of the cafe is really cute and cheery. The baristas were very nice and also helpful when I was asking some questions. I ended up ordering the La La Latte because of their signature la la froth on top which is creamier than your typical foam. I ordered it hot but they accidentally made it cold, which wasn't a big deal. It was a really nice pick me up for me and I liked how creamy it was. I liked the clay butterflies installed on the wall. They have a collection of t-shirts and whatnot for sale. The coffee was good! We tried a fancy peanut butter and jelly toast. Also good! In general, their fruit toasts look pretty grand. It was hot and most people were sipping iced coffees that came in unusual (reusable?) sippy cups. There's a toy store right next door, so if you bring the kids, expect a toy store run as well. read more

Visiting Dallas and figured I'd try out some different coffee places to start the day. Found this little gem just from google. The ambiance and aesthetic is cute, calming and a place you could definitely sit for a while catching up and probably not even notice the time passing by. Some retailer seating then some couches as well and even outdoor patio seating. The staff was great, super friendly and full of energy, laughing and looks like they all enjoy where they work! The avocado toast was great, just enough and not too much. The flavors were really good too with the hint of lime and red pepper flakes for a little kick. I really like La La Land because you kind of know what to expect walking in. Most of the locations look like a recent SMU graduate is decorating her first apartment with white couches and white walls and white tabletops. By the way, those plush white couches have not quite held up to the endless spills of coffee. And aside from the sofas, some of the locations have minimal seating so you may be waiting a minute or have to sit outside. The branding is cute though with yellow cups and for valentines day they have pink lids. As for the coffee, its good! Especially if you want to try one of the specialty drinks. My favorite is the Rocket Fuel, which is no longer on the menu but is cold brew with a shot of espresso and cacao powder. No sugar and I have energy all day (and jitters too.) The avocado toast here is pretty iconic which huge slices of sourdough. If you are vegan the breads do have butter so be sure to ask for that off. They also offer alternative milks. read more

I live in Chicago and I have been following this company on social media for years. When I found out I was coming to Texas for work, I knew immediately I had to make it a point to come check this place out. I'm. I flew into love field and it was only a 10 minute lyft ride from the airport. It was definitely worth the extra trip today. I saw 1st hand how amazing this company and their employees I employees are!! Everybody was greeted with a happy smile and warm greeting as they entered and as drinks were being handed out I heard employees told people they were beautiful, they liked their clothes they were wearing, they had a nice smile or that they love them. We truly do need more kindness in this world! This is an amazing company that not just wants to normalize kindness, but they try to employ foster kids that are about to age out of the system. My heart was so full of joy while I was there. It was very uplifting!! If you have not seen their viral videos, go check them out now! I think they should have a truck and drive it from coast to coast while documenting their journey of spreading kindness and helping others. I certainly would support it.
