I walked up from the center of Florence all the way to La loggia. My caprese salad was pretty bland but it's off season so I should know better. However the view and setting make it a four star. Worth the stop.

This was one of many amazing pastas I had on my trip to Italy. Amazing red sauce for the pasta. Idk how they hand make their pasta but whatever they're doing is great, leaves you feeling full but not heavy. Can never go wrong with fried shrimp and they nailed it on the tomato/habenero dipping sauce. Perfect spicy balance. Overall, a pricey meal that was worth it considering the taste and views. We sat outside for our lunch, amazing view of the Piazzale Michelangelo since the restaurant is at the top. Would definitely go again.

Perfect view from this restaurant. There's outdoor, bistro style and the indoor, dinner arrangement. Not much of a wait on a Thursday. Linguine all'astice (linguini with lobster) was super tasty. And it was a very good size. I'd definitely recommend this spot.

Beautiful view. We had a great seat. Not so great service. My advice - go for a few drinks. Skip the food.

Our food was delicious, however, we left this restaurant feeling neglected. There were 4 in our party. We arrived very worn out from a long day. Our Airbnb did not have hot water and we had a crazy time trying to find another place to stay. We were looking forward to a delicious meal with a beautiful view. 1. When I asked the hostess for a table for 4, she said "maybe you would prefer burgers and fries in the Bistro". I said, "no we prefer pasta" she sighed with frustration and went to chat with another employee to find us a table. 2. We were seated at the worst table in the outside area of the restaurant. Right next to the work station. We asked to be seated at another open table and we were told "this us not possible because of reservations ". We looked at that empty table in a better location for the entire time if our meal. No one ever came to sit there. 3. We orders our drinks and meals, the service during this time was good, but once the food came our server did not come back. No one asked if we needed anything more, finally we called another server over and asked if we could order dessert. He took our order for one cannoli, one serving of gelato and 2 after dinner drinks. We waited at least 35 minutes for this dessert. No one returned during that time to see if we wanted water or another beer or anything at all. We just sat at the table waiting for any attention. 4. We never saw the original server again. We paid our bill of $199 euros and left. Such a huge disappointment. This place had so much potential for a great night, but the service ruined it for us.

The food here is beyond our expectation since it locates at a tourist place. The pizza is so good that the crust is so crispy and simple tomato and cheese is so tasty. Plus the amazing view of the dome, we will definitely come again!

This restaurant has a perfect view of Piazzale Michaelangelo and is just a 2 min walk away. The food was just ok though and service was only ok too. The hostess was actually very rude when we first walked but the rest of the staff was friendly enough. The main duck dish was chewy which was unfortunate and the duck pasta was not very flavorful either. The beef cheek entree that my husband has though was very good. The bread in the basket was pretty tough and almost tasted stale. Given the location though the pricing was ok and the view made it worth going here.

This place is a bit overhyped, to be honest. The waitstaff is inattentive and there aren't too many places to sit. We didn't get a spot with a view, so we could've been anywhere really. The drinks are also expensive and not really worth it.

The view and Ambiance of this restaurant are unmatched to any in Florence. The view on top of the Piazzale Michelangelo was amazing with outdoor seating provided. I went near sunset to enjoy the amazing steak and wine provided. The service was exceptional too having a nice staff provided recommendations on the menu and wine pairing with the food. Amazing place woul recommend to anyone in the area.

Amazing atmosphere. Nothing like it in Florence. Food was okay- very pricey. Expected a better meal but you're paying for the view.

Way overpriced for the experience. I suggest going up and take pictures of the view but pick a different restaurant.

We ordered the 2.6 lb dry aged Florentine steak and gnocchi. The Florentine steak is a must try steak here. It was very juicy, tender, and it was bursting with flavor. The meat was nice and chewy. The steak was gigantic and it is bigger than my head. They first bring out the raw steak and weight it in front of you. The steak is enough to share for three people. The gnocchi was also very delicious. It was cheesy and rich. It was also in a way creamy and the cheese just melted in your mouth. One of the best things I've ever put in my mouth and eaten. The cheesecake is very famous in this restaurant. We tried it and understand why. The cheesecake was super creamy and soft. I had a great time and experience here. Definitely will be back sometime soon hopefully. This is a place I highly recommend to everyone. Come and try it out for yourselves.

He was awesome and had us laughing the entire night. We peppered him with a lot of questions about the menu, he answered everything and also accommodated my father-in-law, who is GF. He had his own GF bread basket and was able to order almost anything on the menu. We ordered a nice bottle of Montepulciano red for the table that was $48. Others had the Hugo spritz. For app I had the anchovies with roasted red pepper, sea salt and oil over grilled crostini, very good. I skipped first course and ordered the ribeye steak for my main course. Bone in, medium rare, sprinkled with sea salt and a side of onion marmalade. The steak was very good and had way less fat than I expected. The waiter suggested a huge steak for the table, but I was the only one ordering steak that night. Maybe next time. Others ordered the fillet and it was cooked perfectly, the angels and demons gnocchi, and the veal scallopini. Everybody was pleased Really cool spot with a very good wine selection, drinks, excellent food and a fun atmosphere that you don't find at many places. Nugo was an A+ server.

We ate here on our first night in Florence and spent the rest of our trip talking about it. In fact, we came back to Florence a night early from Cortona and tried our luck at getting another table. They were completely packed and couldn't fit us in, which honestly tells you everything you need to know. If you want to eat here, make a reservation. You might get lucky if you show up right when they open, but May in Florence seems to get busier every year and I wouldn't count on it. The atmosphere is exactly what you hope for when you picture a fun night in Florence--great music, laughter, conversation, shared tables, excellent wine, and people genuinely enjoying themselves. It's lively without feeling touristy and somehow manages to feel both energetic and intimate at the same time. Our server, Lorenzo, was phenomenal. He helped us select a bottle of 2021 Vigna del Sorbo Chianti Classico, which ended up being my favorite wine of the entire trip. We started with buttered toast and anchovies. It sounds incredibly simple, but it was one of the most memorable bites we had in Italy. We shared the duck ragù pasta, lasagna, osso buco, and lamb chop. Every dish was excellent, but the duck ragù and lamb were standouts. We finished with a raspberry tiramisu that was the perfect ending to the meal. The food was fantastic, the wine was fantastic, the service was fantastic, and the ambiance was everything you could want. P.S. If you can't get in, don't panic--the restaurant across the street is also very good. But if you can get a table here, do it.

There are a handful of seats available and then there's even a back room with a few more tables to accommodate a few more people. The atmosphere alone is worth a visit, but the food is what truly makes it exceptional. We ordered the ravioli, pappardelle with wild boar ragù, the Florentine steak, a mixed salad, affogato, and fresh strawberries with mascarpone cream. To drink, we shared a small carafe of red wine and a Pinot Grigio. Everything was spectacular. The Florentine steak was easily the best--and largest--I have ever had. Perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and remarkably tender, it was the highlight of an already outstanding meal. The pappardelle with boar ragù was rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying, while the ravioli was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Every dish felt authentic, carefully executed, and memorable. The wine was another pleasant surprise. Both selections were excellent and very reasonably priced, making the meal feel like an even better value. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful. He patiently answered questions, explained the menu, and guided us toward some fantastic choices. Although we thought we were too full for dessert, we're very glad we changed our minds. The affogato was fantastic, and the strawberries with mascarpone cream were absolutely delicious. One of the highlights of the evening was watching our four-year-old happily clutching two spoons and enthusiastically scooping fresh strawberries and mascarpone into his mouth. It was one of those memorable family travel moments that you don't forget. A terrific meal, a unique historic setting, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere.
