Walking into the restaurant, I loved the warmth and beauty of the fireplace. We seated ourselves at a window seat, then walked up to the counter to place our order. My coworker loved the chicken madeleine with broccoli. I ordered the avocado toast which was kind of weird. Altogether, the restaurant was clean, but it took an hour to get our orders and they didn't even arrive at the table at the same time, so my coworker was done with his meal by the time my food arrived even though we were on the same table

Our first visit and it was definitely solid! Never realized how big of a chain La Madeleines actually is, but they have a good thing going. Place is spotless clean, service was spot on...counter order with table delivery works out perfect. Started out with self serve coffee, which was very good...to start...We both went with the Country French Breakfast....Wife scrambled, mine over easy....personally mine could have been a bit more cooked...We both loved the Potato Galette...yet we both agreed if their bacon, although good....it could be a bit thicker....but that croissant made up for that...overall a great experience.

It's nostalgic for me coming here. The pastries remind me of old birthdays and the strawberry jam is Saturday mornings. Albeit, a bit pricier now than a couple years ago, I will always find myself coming back for a little reminder of home and pesto pasta. Cheers!

So I have walked inside in the cashier, smiled at me. The kitchen staff smiled at me as he was facing me when I first walked in . The cashier was listening to my request and got the manager for me because I had a coupon that was to go order to be fixed from the previous order problem so this time the manager took my order and everything was correct as I placed the order to go this time, the problem was when the cashier walked away going towards the kitchen by the office she took her gloves off, and then she put her fingers in her mouth as she was biting her nails she was talking to another employee unless it was a manager at that point there was two Females walked into the restaurant as I watched them walk to the front of the line to get to the cashier area, she did not wash her hands. Instead she just walked back to the cashier area and started taking their order at that point she put a glove on which was white colored Only on one hand, and then after the ladies had their order taken, she did not wash her hands she at that point started giving the food to different tables. sadly, it will be on camera if they do go see that as I was sitting and waiting at the to go order a table area in the dining area. I just couldn't believe it that just happened. I just thought that employee should wash her hands, but it's not my place to train her because I don't work there. Thank you for fixing the last order but I'm sorry to say this she needs to wash her hands and she needs to be trained.

I was caving something sweet and easy to handle while I do my errands in the complex so I stopped by La Madeleine for a chocolate chunk cookie and Nutella muffin! I kinda wish I asked them to heat it up for me a few seconds but they're tasty all the same! This was just a counter / to go order but the service was friendly and efficient!

I really wanted some delicious French toast. La Madeleine failed me in my quest for the aforementioned breakfast deliciousness. Walked in and stood there as it's hard to determine who was taking orders for to go or dine in. Easily stood there for 5 minutes before one of the employees stopped prepping orders and acknowledged us. Then she passed us off to the guy working the other cash register. You pay for your food and receive a number to place on the stand wherever you seat yourself. It was a long time while waiting on the food. So the food finally is brought to the table by the cashier and as soon as he sat it down, I notice that it is just griddled bread. No dipping, battering or wafts of yummy greeting me. It was just pan bread with some cinnamon and powdered sugar. I touched it and it was cold upon arrival. There's no one tending to the tables so I go back to the register and wait some more to tell them my food arrived cold. They remade it and it got no better. I think the bacon is pre-made and they keep it on a warm area of the grill for plating. But this so called French toast....just sad. I've had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that had more flair. Although there is some French décor and theme in menu, there is not a solid reflection in what you receive. Many of the tables had not been cleaned in between customers and they seemed to struggle to keep up with orders. You can fill out the survey at the bottom of your receipt and receive a free bakery item. I opted for the oatmeal raisin pecan cookie which was better than my breakfast. You can view the menu online or by scanning the barcode at the register. Some employees were wearing masks and some had them but wore them incorrectly. I don't feel confident returning or recommending this place to others.

Nice little spot for a quick breakfast. Food is good and they have a great variety of options to pick from. From coffee and pastries to custom made omelettes. Only con and this is my personal preference, my cappuccino wasn't as hot as I like it to be, but I enjoy my coffee extra hot.

Their burger is easily one of the best I've had in Austin, especially paired with their thin, crispy fries. It's my go-to order almost every time. One thing I love is that they switch up the steak portion of the menu a few times a year, and it never disappoints. Right now they have the steak au poivre, which is incredible, although I'm still craving their steak frites and hoping it makes a comeback. The escargot and French onion soup are also favorites of mine. At this point, June's has become a staple in our house--usually with a couple of Diet Cokes and either the burger or whatever steak they're featuring. A few of my friends swear by the chicken sandwich (fair warning: it can get a little messy!), the half roasted chicken, and the tuna crudo, so you really can't go wrong no matter what you order. On top of the amazing food, the staff is always incredibly kind and welcoming, which keeps us coming back. I definitely recommend making a reservation since it tends to get pretty busy, especially during peak hours.

My biggest issue started before I even got seated. There is a QR code that you're required to use to join the waitlist/queue, but this is not clearly communicated on their website. You essentially have to arrive at the restaurant and figure it out once you're there. For a restaurant that is known for having long waits and high traffic, I feel like this information should be clearly stated online so people can plan accordingly. Once I joined the queue, I was number 43 and ended up waiting about an hour and a half before being seated. I understand that popular restaurants can have long wait times, but the lack of transparency about how the process works made the experience more frustrating than it needed to be. Once inside, the ambiance was actually quite quaint and charming. That said, considering how much traffic this restaurant gets, I was surprised by how limited the space is. I honestly think expanding the property would make a huge difference, although I understand that may not be entirely within their control. One thing I will give them major credit for is the menu. Online, the selection makes it look somewhat limited, but once you're there, they actually have 50+ food options, so there is plenty to choose from. That was definitely a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, my entrée was disappointing. I ordered a shredded beef taco with salsa and substituted a side salad. The beef was extremely tender, but unfortunately, it was also very dry. The salad was another disappointment because the vinaigrette was honestly not good. I don't think I've ever had a vinaigrette that I actively disliked until this meal. Thankfully, my fiancé had a much better experience. He ordered an enchilada and said it was one of the top five enchiladas he's ever had, so clearly there are some standout dishes on the menu. That definitely made me curious about trying something different if I ever return. I also really enjoyed that they offer hibiscus tea. I was very happy to see it on the menu, although I personally think it would be better served on its own rather than incorporated into one of their mixed drinks. The drink itself was just okay, but the hibiscus flavor was great. Overall, I can see why this place has become an Austin staple, but I think the experience could be improved significantly by making the waitlist process much clearer online and by improving the consistency of some of the food. The menu has a lot of potential, and clearly, some dishes are excellent! Unfortunately, mine just wasn't one of them.
