I honestly hate leaving bad reviews, but this has to be the worst experience I have ever had at a la Madeleine restaurant. It was 4 of us, we came into the restaurant on a Wednesday at 8:25 PM. We thought we had plenty of time to order and sit down and eat since the restaurant did not close till 9 pm. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The signs in front of the deserts were all over the place. I ordered the wrong dessert twice and I just told the employee that I was sorry that I was just reading off whatever sign was in front of the desert.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When we placed our order, three out of the four of us ordered a potato soup. We made our way down the line and were waiting for the employee who took our order down to serve us our soups, but she simply just walked away. Next thing we noticed was that they had already picked up the soups. When we got to the front to pay, there were containers with the soups behind the cashier on a counter. The employee who initially took our order, walked up to the cashier and told us there was no more potato soup so we all just opted for tomato soup, we were handed all of the soups on a very messy cup. The cashier walked away and the first person who took our order, stepped in and was taking our payment. The cashier walks out and refills the potato soup container. The person who initially took our order was all over the place. We asked her to please switch the three tomato soups back to the original potato soup we had asked for and were told they no longer had available. At this point we were frustrated and just wanted to sit down and eat something. By the time we sat down after everything got settled with our soups and our food came out it was 8:51pm. I felt a bit, rushed as the employees were locking up the doors and picking up the coffee and the jams, and were cleaning up the tables around us. The employee that initially took our order, came back and apologized two times and stated that the cashier was new. The cashier was never the problem it was her the whole time. We will not be coming back to this location.

I like La Madeleine even though it's a chain restaurant.. It's a charming restaurant with a lot of ambience that serves good food however I rarely eat here. The tomato soup is very pleasant tasting and is a crowd favorite. I had the chicken salad croissant which was a good sandwich but kind of small. Like I said, I like this restaurant it's just I wish the servings were larger. Don't come hangry!

Good service and food as usual. Someday I will give it a try of their specialty coffee which I see as very popular among customers.

I ordered a half croquette monsieur sandwich and a side of the tomato basil pesto pasta salad and took it to go. As you can tell by the photo, the food was unimpressive and the taste matched it. It wasn't bad but it just wasn't good. There was a thick layer of cheese on top of the sandwich which I didn't appreciate (despite being a huge fan of cheese) and there was virtually no sauce on it. The pasta salad was under-seasoned and just completely forgettable. I came here because I had $5 off after signing up for their rewards and downloading the app. Had I paid full price for this meal, I would've been more disappointed. I can't speak to any of their other food items because I hadn't been here in like 15 years, but it's safe to say this visit has solidified why I haven't returned in all those years and also why I have no plans to return. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing but why take the chance of another bad meal when there are so many other places to choose from?

Plenty of parking available, staff is friendly and service is fair (time wise) Drinks are fresh and delicious as well as their pastry/desert choices. They have a great chicken salad, croissant, sandwich that I highly recommend. Prices could be better for what it is but still a nice place for those cold rainy days. Seating inside is ample. I wouldn't go with fruit here only because I've had issues with fruit dishes in the past not being all that "fresh" but the rest is great!

Located in a large shared parking lot with other businesses. Plenty of parking. Compared to other locations (like River Oaks which is very small like a Starbucks) this place is very large had plenty of tables, couches and double sided fireplace. Will come back during winter to enjoy fireplace. A little odd for a Sat night 6pm but the place was empty when we walked in but soon after 10-12 customers arrived. Staff was very nice and greeted us and took time to explain our orders and options. Will be back to this location for sure

The doors were still open but was late, like 7 minutes to close when we went in. Already clean and ready for the next day. The sweet young lady helping us was putting everything up but had no problem pulling a square lemon tart for MrM and a strawberry Napoleon for myself. As usual, they were great. Not too sweet and yummy! They had no more fresh coffee so we took it togo to have dessert at the house. Great end to a great night!

I usually get a tart or some type of cake, yet I had a birthday freebie, so I went for something new. The crust was crisp, and the filing was excellent. Great service from Adrian and the peace and quiet is helping to wind me down

I go to this particular La Madeleine a lot with my family and sometimes order delivery. Tonight I decided to stay in and have my food delivered. Food arrived around 7pm. I savor and take my time with my food. 7:37pm I get to my fruit salad which is in a closed container. I am very disappointed to find a dead bug in my food. I like this location well enough to go back. I did call and alert them to this offense. Hopefully they make changes to how they cover their fruit salad in-store.

    Chai Tea Latte

The bestie and I stopped by Saturday morning around 8:30. It was our first time so we asked for help. A nice young man walked us through the process of ordering at the counter and paying at the other end. We placed our orders, paid and we were given a number and we were told we could sit anywhere. Since it was 47°, they had the fire going. There are leather couches among tables so you have options on where to sit. Naturally we sat in front of the fireplace. It was nice and toasty. Our Chai Tea Latte's came out and honestly, this was the best Chai Tea I've ever had. Not "spicy" not sweet. A few moments later our breakfast sandwiches joined the table. I requested a side of avocado with mine. The croissant was flaky and buttery, but I don't like my sandwiches cut. The tomatoes were a little hard, but we still ate them. We enjoyed the latte so much we ordered two more and decided to get a pastry (Palmier) with them. The nice young man who initially helped us brought out our second round of Latte's and we asked him if the pastries are normally this hard. He checked on them for us and offered to bring us something else and we told him it's ok, we will manage. Since we've never had these before we did not know what to expect. These things were "HARD". We only ate half of them because they were honestly hard. We sat there and enjoyed our drinks and Ms. Diane approached the table and insisted on bringing us different pastries so we caved. She got a blueberry muffin and I got a chocolate almond croissant. We took them to go. I took a bite when I got home and it was delicious! Definitely coming back to try other things and enjoy another latte or two by the fire.

I've been going to La Madeleine for a long as I can remember. I have always loved their food. I recently went to the one on 1960 and 290. I've went before a year or so ago and it has changed a lot. In the picture you can see the strawberries Romanoff is the petite size and they give you a teaspoon size amount of Romanoffs sauce and it's their new "policy". They do not pour on top or give you the option anymore either. The owner is very cheap and gives less food and charges you more for it now. That sauce only covered two strawberries. It was horrible. Very upsetting that you have to pay for more and you only get a teaspoon more in another tiny little container. I'll never go back to this location again. I also got the pesto pasta with shrimp which I've gotten forever and loved it. But this time, it did not taste the same like it used to. Ingredients tasted cheaper and the sauce was really watery and tasteless. Very disappointing. Never again. Example - a side of avocado used to cost $1.59 and now it cost $1.79. No one really gets avocado there anymore apparently. I understand cost-of-living has gone up for everyone but you don't even get the same portion of food there anymore. And you pay more. This is not the same at all the La Madeleines. On a positive note: The staff was very kind and helpful and the service was fast. The gentleman who helped me, looked very uncomfortable explaining the new "policy" to me as I was not happy and thought it was some sort of a joke and ridiculous. I was very kind to him obviously as it is not his fault, but it can't be fun having to explain to every customer that everything has changed and they get shit for their money now. Poor things. The mango iced tea still tastes the same though

This is how I got my cheesecake, with somebody's finger molded into it, I've traveled to so many places and tried so many foods and this far this is the most unprofessional restaurant ever, I don't recommend this place whatsoever

Thankfully, the manager was professional and fixed the mistake immediately easily the most impressive part of the meal. The coffee deserves special recognition for achieving the impossible: tasting like hot water that once made eye contact with a coffee bean. As for the service, our server never introduced herself, never acknowledged the mix up, and seemed determined to complete her checklist without interacting with the customers. A simple smile or "I think this might be the wrong order" would've gone a long way. Instead, we got the hospitality equivalent of an automated email.

The place has a very antique, vintage vibe--lots of charming, random décor that makes it feel like a cozy hidden gem. I ordered a small turkey sandwich, which originally comes with just turkey, cheese, and mayo, but I asked for lettuce and all the extra fixings. They added everything just the way I wanted. I also got a cup of chicken and rice soup, chips, and it came with a cookie. My brother ordered a medium Ultimate BLT, the chicken tortilla soup, and a side salad. We also grabbed drinks--though options were limited to sweet tea, lemonade, or water. Altogether, the bill was around $40. Once we sat down, the staff brought our food out quickly. Service was great the whole time. The medium sandwich was huge--definitely explains the price point. The small sandwich was a good regular size, but if you're really hungry, go for a medium or even a large. My brother loved his meal (he's visiting from San Francisco, so that's saying something!). I personally didn't care too much for the chicken and rice soup, but everything else was solid. The salad came with ranch and was fresh. It never got overly crowded while we were there. They also sell frozen casseroles and other goodies, which is a nice bonus. Overall, it's a cute little spot with good food, generous portions on the sandwiches, and friendly service.
