The bakery almost never have fresh products. They look nice but when you byte, there are not fresh at all

We ordered reservation for one of the rooms and catering for a few of our educational seminars to fit 20 - 25 ish people and a projector. They have an amazing catering menu that is in increments of 10. The choices were chicken with rice and the other is chicken and pasta. The meat is separated from the chicken so if you have any vegetarians, this is easily accommodated. There is also a salad and desserts. And of course, tea and coffee. The food was kept warm on a warming tray and served as a buffet at the back of the room. I was really impressed with the rice. There were a lot more ingredients in just plain rice. I actually like the chicken from the pasta meal better. But maybe, like both of these items, I like stronger flavors. The other choices weren't too bad either. The desserts are really cute and delicious. Some folks were excited and took more than one. There was a bit of confusion on where the cups were for the drinks and we had two bowls , one for gravy, and one for dressing, that our attendees were confused about. But they were easily fixed. The room was very clean, stable furniture (very important to us because some of our attendees are at fall risks) , and great natural lighting from the window windows. Unfortunately there was only one plug section so there is not a lot of options to place to projector. Make sure to bring an extended cord and floor tape. Since we reserved this rooms a few times, we were able to meet all the managers, Ms. Truc Hoang, Mr. Angelo Chavez, and Mr. Angel Garcia. They were all amazing, super responsive and gave us a lot of information to know what our options are. We had a last minute increase in attendees and they were amazingly able to accommodate . To celebrate the success of our event, I ordered one of their limited time hot chocolate for myself and my co worker. The hot chocolate was super creamy. The whipped creme in the martini glass is super dense and fluffy, perfect pair with this hot chocolate. And with some added substance, a fluffy soft mini croissant and sweet starberry ! My co worker and I kept looking at each other with excitement over this. Make sure to end your meal with this while it is here for the holidays!! Overall, this location is great for small gatherings. If you are looking for a venue to host an event, please be sure to add this to your list to check it out. They have free parking, it's right next to the mall, and the staff are amazing people with great comfort food! read more

La madeleine My favorite store for desserts. Their minis are so yummy and fresh, they are perfect size and calories- like the kind if calories you want to indulge in without guilt. I always get atleast one of the fruit tart. It has been so long that they have even changed the design, increased the size and increased the price- ah well, its still worth it. Today, tried the macaroons. They cost $12 and come 6 in a tiny box. The box looks so cute and its so tiny, it will easily fit in ur purse or your jacket pocket if u want to sneak it into a cinema hall or something (Disclaimer: these activities are subject to risks of being caught ;)) They were just delicious. This place needs new management! We each ordered a half of a Croque Monsieur and a cup of soup (party of 2). When the food came out 15 minutes later both soups were served Luke warm so we asked for them to be microwaved which took another 10 minutes. The restaurant wasn't busy so I don't understand why it took everything so long! I've never been to a La Madeleine where I have ever sent back the soup for not being hot! read more

Visited on yesterday and the environment was not welcoming. The staff was standing around laughing and talking. After 3 mins of looking at the wrong menu, a staff told me I had the wrong menu and the other staff laughed. I ordered and went to look for a table and they were all dirty. How is it that this place was not busy and the tables are not clean. It makes me wonder how well the kitchen is kept. I went back to the register and she asked if I needed help, I said yes, a clean table. She then proceeded to scan the restaurant and see if someone could clean a table. I immediately decided, I want a refund and to cancel my order. I told her this place was dirty and they need to clean it up. I have never been to a La Madeleine's and it was so unkept. I will never return to this location. This place needs better management and staff that want to work. read more

Yuck. Ordered a cup of mushroom soup so I could have something savory and a Nutella strawberry crêpe, which I was very excited about because I've never had one I didn't love - until now - and a cappuccino. The mushroom soup was blah and they can't even muster up a piece of bread to eat with your soup. The Nutella crepe was the worst one I have ever eaten - the first one I haven't liked at all. The presentation was excellent, but everything else was crash and burn. It was a tiny portion from almost $10. There was some kind of filling that had little tiny pieces of strawberry in it, but not the fresh strawberries I'm used to. it was also overly sweet, and the crêpe itself seemed almost soggy. The only thing that was good, and actually quite good, was my cappuccino. I should also say that service was quite good. But none of this little bit of positive makes up for how terrible the food was. It was an overpriced, terrible meal. read more

I have never reviewed a restaurant, but this place has disappointed countless times and I couldn't keep quiet. I keep going because my kid used to like their sandwiches. The fruit tart had strawberries that were black and you couldn't pick the tart up because it fell apart; it was so rancid and soggy. I was told by the visiting manager that the bread they used for sandwiches had been changed from the supplier and they hadn't received a delivery. Our sandwiches were not made from baguettes that you would expect, they crumbled into a powdery mess upon touching it. I didn't try the French onion soup but when I previously visited 2weeks ago it was sour. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, but this is unacceptable. Even the workers knew the food was awful. Of all the La Madeleine's across the greater Houston area, this one is always my least favorite. (It's always the least busy by a significant margin as well - is it because no one here cares and it shows?) It's not even noon and there are several unbussed, dirty tables. The air vent above the registers is hairy and gross from all the dust caked on it. Don't look at it. I have yet to encounter any staff that I would consider friendly. The bread by the drink station is usually empty (which happens, but again it's noon. Lunch rush is here and people want carbs.) I got salad and soup - that tomato basil is just so good - but it took much, much longer than it should have. read more

The restaurant was not crowded when we arrived. The person that took our order was friendly and helpful and answered the questions that we had. We easily found a booth and our food was served within minutes. We ordered kids pizza, four cheese grilled cheese, pesto pasta, tomato soup, chicken Riveira, Nutella and strawberry crepes, and lemonades. All of the food was exceptionally good. The food was fresh, prepared well, and very tasty. The avocado in the chicken Riveira sandwich was more than sufficient and the four grilled cheese sandwich was amazing. Every time I come in I am greeted with smiles and hellos! The staff are kind and patient with me and my special needs son. That makes all the difference in the world to me! Crystal is so sweet and kind to him and makes us feel so welcome. Everything we get is always fresh and hot and tastes great. If we ever have a problem, it is corrected within a short time and with a smile. The restaurant is most always clean and the tables are cleaned within minutes of a client leaving. The music is never too loud. When we take our food home, it looks like it was packaged with great care. I appreciate all the staff who take care of us and make us feel so welcome. read more

I and my mother wanted a fast, fresh, moderated priced brunch. Why not a woman's treat on a Monday! No better place than la Madeline French Bakery. My mom had quiche, mimosas and a salad. I had potato soup and a pecan, feta cheese topped with chicken. Both meals were fire, my slang for awesome -10 on a1 to 20 scale. We will be returning. My family has been eating at la Madeleine's in Pearland for a number of years. We always enjoyed their desserts, especially the coconut cake and lemon tarts. This week we stopped by to pick up some dessert to take home. When we got home, we noticed that the lemon tarts had an unusual color to them and looked like they were old and spoiled. A couple of us went ahead and took a bite and immediately spit them out. They definitely were not the same delicious lemon tarts that we always enjoyed. I tried returning them to the restaurant, as something was definitely not right. I was told that they recently changed the recipe and only put in half of the ingredient that made it so delicious. They would not return my money. I feel that I should have been warned that the recipe changed before I spent all that money on something we could not eat. They were AWFUL! Money down the drain! First of all I visited and frequented this chain a lot but I stopped going because something changed in their business model ruining such a great place. The food has become very expensive and very limited and it seems like they took everything that was good off the menu. WTF!!! I visited the place and after leaving, I will never comeback. The employee at the counter was on his phone the whole time while taking my order, rude, but he at least got my order right for the most part. They got very stingy with the mushroom sauce on any dish you order. The restroom is disgusting especially the men's where it looks like they had a shit storm hit and never repaired it. We don't need the full French experience just the food. Bathroom dirty, dingy, and no paper towels. Based on the reviews it looks like I'm not the only one that feels like this place sucks!!! Had a bridal shower at the restaurant. We reserved the Garden Room. I was told to bring my own tablecloths. I did - but also had to provide tablecloths for the serving area. It was a good thing I brought table cloths - the tables were gross and dirty! Their website shows that food is served on the ceramic plates used in the restaurant. NO!!! We had PLASTIC knives and forks and PLASTIC water cups for wine and mimosas! Food was served in to go containers and was late Bread was left on side table covered. It was not discovered until we were cleaning up. The room was very hot. I asked for the AC to be turned on. They brought in a fan. I asked for napkins to wipe the sweat - a nice guy handed me some. A rude worker said they were self-serve! I was told that someone would be assigned to the room to check in things. - that didn't happen. I had to go get someone out front every time I needed champagne opened or something else. The day after the event, I received a survey from la Madeleine. Expressed the above and asked for a manager to call me. I waited a week I just called and talked to Angel. I purposely called during non-peak He said they always serve their stuff on plastic! He was unresponsive. I felt that he was not paying attention to what I was saying. My bill was over $600 Totally unacceptable! On a positive note - shout out to the young man, a CUSTOMER, who helped me bring in the tablecloths and other items I needed for set up. You were appreciated! read more

I've been to this location quite a few times but never got around to reviewing it. It's located at the Pearland Town Center and there's a parking lot in the back. Once you arrive, you order at the counter and then they bring your food out to you. La Madelaine is the chain of French food. It's not amazing but it's solid. There is a lot to like though. Complimentary bread and butter or jam. They also have an app and they have frequent promotions. On my last visit, they were offering free croissants for national croissant day. They also send you a free slice of cake or a pastry for your birthday. read more

I ordered their Lemon Blueberry Danish several months back and a Sacher Torte earlier in the afternoon. Both fantastic in all ways. I don't like cream cheese pastries n saw this one didn't have any so I got it. The LB Danish was a great mix of both blueberry and lemon flavors with a fresh somewhat flaky sweet bread and some icing. It was very delicious imo. The Sacher torte I ordered earlier this Wednesday evening was very delicious, very moist, ideal density, rich in chocolate flavor with a hint of rum flavor in it too. It's a great combo of creamy, smooth, soft and a little solid. The sweet treats I prefer to order here are their Blueberry Lemon Danish, Coconut Cake, Creme Brûlée, Eclairs and Sacher Torte. All 5 are very delicious n very balanced in their flavors n textures, but I must say the Sacher Torte is my # 1 favorite and a must try from this establishment at any location. If you want a small, but not too small, rich, sweet, very delicious n very juicy chocolate dessert satisfaction, the Sacher Torte is the one to order here. Great service again as well. read more

Ordered half a dozen pastries (2 almond croissants, 2 chocolate croissants and 2 chocolate almond croissants, with 3 muffins '2 blueberry 1 Nutella croissant muffin' for delivery... arrived before time which is a plus, they looked amazing!! I have to admit, I probably went in wanting to hate this place for replacing my beloved Mimi's, but even Mimi messed up by changing the menu before its ultimate demise.... Anyhoo - the process to get through is to stand in line, place your order, take a number then self serve your drink and wait for your food. I can't say I am a fan of this, especially for a weekend breakfast. The service during my visit was a bit held up due to a large group being on site and I think they were training staff as well. It took crazy long for my order - I actually had to just go back to the front to ask, only to discover they sort of forgot about my order and hurried to get it to me. The food was ok - nothing was bad, nothing was fabulous. Hard to jack up a croissant and bacon. I don't plan on returning unless requested by a friend with an offer to pay for me. What a disappointment, I had probably the simplest thing you can order which should be a bowl of soup and Cesar salad,theCaesar tasted like it had been made yesterday with the bottom third of the romaine stalks and the onion soup was so salty I could barely finish it. It appears that when you do not have to make shooting from the customer you will serve them whatever crap is back there, I miss their original restaurants When I approached the manager about it and told her that I couldn't even eat it she did nothing more then go really? We are no strangers to La Madeleine, but this was our first time at this location. It's a cheerful, clean place that has a lot of seating in Pearland Town Center. My husband ordered the French Country breakfast which is always good. I got the chicken cordon bleu pasta. Oh was it good! Served with a hot and crusty, buttery, garlicky bread. Bow tie pasta with balsamic chicken, peas, and cheese. Perfect flavor. Yum yum yum! read more

We ordered breakfast to be delivered. We were missing an item, a ham/swiss croissant, which they tossed in an extra plain croissant as a substitute. Why, as the pricing isn't anywhere close and it doesn't come close to ham/swiss (protein). I called to have them fix the problem and she blamed me for the problem because I wasn't able to answer a call with a California number, as I was with a client (why would I answer that number anyway?). Then she blamed Doordash. Why? He just delivers the food. The restaurant fills the order. Apparently it was everyone's fault except her and La Madeleine. She pawned me off on Doordash. Any reputable business would and do take care of their own problems. To top it off two of the meals added meats as sides yet they chopped them up and mixed them into the eggs. I've never seen this before. And the tomatoes were mushy-old and inedible. We were NOT impressed, to say the least!!! They have lost our business, that of our friends and family, and that of all of our clients and employees, and anyone else we share our story with. read more
