We ordered breakfast to be delivered. We were missing an item, a ham/swiss croissant, which they tossed in an extra plain croissant as a substitute. Why, as the pricing isn't anywhere close and it doesn't come close to ham/swiss (protein). I called to have them fix the problem and she blamed me for the problem because I wasn't able to answer a call with a California number, as I was with a client (why would I answer that number anyway?). Then she blamed Doordash. Why? He just delivers the food. The restaurant fills the order. Apparently it was everyone's fault except her and La Madeleine. She pawned me off on Doordash. Any reputable business would and do take care of their own problems. To top it off two of the meals added meats as sides yet they chopped them up and mixed them into the eggs. I've never seen this before. And the tomatoes were mushy-old and inedible. We were NOT impressed, to say the least!!! Not the traditional set up of the other La Madeleines with the line that patrons follow and can see their soup being poured. There are walk up registers, drink fountains on the right, two private rooms for events and lots of cross traffic in between. The staff was so nice about cleaning a section I wanted to sit in. I am extremely pleased with this location. I went to get a last minute cake for my daughters birthday at the pearland tow center location. They did not have the size I was looking for but crystal (store manager/supervisor ) went above and beyond to make sure I get something close to what I wanted. She took the time to personally decorate the cake. I can't thank her enough for making our day so much more better. It may not be a big deal for her but that extra time she took to take care of her customers is what I call excellent service! La Madeline, she needs a raise and something extra! read more

I really love La Madeleine and I was so happy that one opened up in Pearland a few years ago. I was surprised that it didn't have the normal a la carte that the other locations have, but that didn't affect my attendance here. I love to come here for brunch when I have plenty of time to relax, eat, drink coffee and chill without having to rush to go somewhere else. Saturday and Sunday mornings can get busy, but the weekday evenings are pretty slow. If you come too late in the evening, like an hour to close, some of their menu items will no longer be available. Lately, for brunch, I've been ordering the Parisien Eggs which comes with two fried eggs, croissant, ham, bacon, and hollandaise sauce. They used to serve poached eggs, but now they are fried. Croissants are always fresh, huge, and flaky here. Can never go wrong. I also love to order the egg/spinach quiche or the spinach artichoke or the chicken friand. Those are my go-to for the past 10+ years especially the Chicken Pesto Pasta! I can never NOT order that for dinner (except for last week. haha). I love pesto, I love chicken, and I love cream sauce so this is my ultimate favorite dinner meal at La Mad. Last week, I finally ordered something different - the the Chicken La Madeleine because I needed veggies - this came w/ chicken with mushroom sauce, broccoli, and wild rice. Amazing!!! I'm getting hungry just thinking about these meals! By the way, download the La Madeleine app if you have not. ~Truly never had any bad service here. Besides a couple of long wait times/wondering about my food it always came out hot and fresh in the end. I stopped going here for a while since the Chicken Caesar Salad sandwhich & mushroom soup were off the menu... but as soon as they came back man the food doesn't disappoint. This used to be one of our favorite spots in town center, but since then it has gone downhill. This go around we decided to splurge and spent $51 at La Madeline, soups, desserts, salads, drinks and all. I mean who goes there and spends that amount at La Madeline for two people and a child? The chicken friand we ordered was UNDERCOOKED, cold on the inside while the outside was crispy. They told us we had to wait because they were cooking it. Then, the chicken Caesar salad we ordered was made with old chicken. My son needed to go to the restroom, but once he got in there he walked right out. He said that it was too stinky and he'd rather go at home. It smelled like raw garbage mixed with piss. To top it all off, the drink station--where the bread is too--had gnats flying all around it. Right when we opened the bread container a few gnats flew out. I have no idea what happened to this place, but we are definitely not going back to the Pearland location. read more

Not sure what's going on here... this used to be a nice location. My husband went in there to purchase SourDough Bread on I believe Friday 5/19, and while waiting in line, the employees waited on customers that had come in after him, ignoring he was standing there... and then when he received the bread, and brought it home, it tasted like just old white bread, no flavor whatsoever. They'll give you a whole bunch of food to try out for your party for free, too. I highly recommend this place for private events. I went back to curbside and a guy looked through my bag and saw it was no chicken and said "they" want to see my order and I have to come inside. Although the food is still delicious and the service is good, I still prefer the a la carte style lines at the other locations. And for first timers to this location, the drinks and bread are hidden on the other side of a wall on the right side of the restaurant, perhaps this should be located in a more visible area? The restaurant is clean and still new, but it's unfamiliar when you're used to the other La Madeleine locations. Also the lines tend to build up toward the front doors which makes things even more confusing when you come here for the first time not knowing what to expect. I think the normal setup is actually more efficient instead of just two lines at a regular counter. read more

I've always liked La Madeline ever since I first stepped into the restaurant over 10 years ago. Despite liking the entire chain, I'm really disappointed by this one. Here are just a few of the problems: 1) Dirty silverware and plates - literally ALL of the supposedly clean silverware were covered in water stains and crumbs. I'm not sure what was going on. Every single dish in the bread section was covered in crumbs, and I had to hunt in other sections of the drinks/bread area just to find clean plates. 2) Sad service - the gentleman who was both serving dishes and cleaning up tables literally spilled and perhaps cracked a dish when cleaning up and actually laughed about it. I asked if he was okay and he looked shocked that I actually spoke to him. 3) Sub-par food - The signature spicy chicken and rice bowl dish had very dry chicken, and the Caesar salad's greens were wilted. 4) Dusty chairs - it looked like the seats hadn't been cleaned and had quite a few crumbs on them. I had to hunt across the restaurant to find clean chairs. All in all, I wished that this La Madeline restaurant branch had lived up to the La Madeline name as well as serve high-quality food that most of Pearland Town Center's restaurants do. I took my extended immediate family there for dinner last night because the nearby restaurants we wanted to eat at had extended wait times. The food at La Medelline is OK but you never had to wait. There were 8 of us. Everyone ordered and we sat down. A few minutes later the plates started arriving. My daughter in law told the server we were missing one plate. He said OK but never returned. After 10 minutes she went to the counter told him the crepe was not served. He said he would check and bring it. 15 minutes later, I went to check with my wallet out. He said the crepe was not on the ticket. The cashier was in training and obviously missed it. I heard the order being placed. I said OK that's why I came to check on it and pay for it since he told her he would submit it. He said he never submitted the order because he didn't know what kind she wanted. The manager overhead the conversation and asked what I needed. I told her nothing now. The server had the opportunity to make a customer happy and blew it. I went back to the table to tell my daughter in law the order was not placed even though he implied he would place it. My wife begged me not to make a scene so we left. A mistake was made when the order was placed, and I understand that. What angered me was the total disregard for a customer who went home hungry. A trip back to the table would have resolved everything. By the way, the place was practically empty with only 2 tables occupied. We will never set foot in there again. read more

Walking in, the strong stench of old wood like an antique store and stinky feet welcomes you which was really bad. There was nobody on the line but it took workers awhile to get to us. Me and my sister had to look for a decent table that was not dirty because the table we sat on had not been cleaned and was very sticky. We both order a CREAMY pesto pasta and we were served a tiny plate that had little to no sauce on the pasta. It was very bland and tasted like tv dinner pasta. It was not worth it at all and we were both very dissapointed and was ready to leave. let me tell you guys something: you shouldn't be eating here. the strawberries for the strawberry romanoff are usually the oldest ones in the back, they are close to molding and are already going bad. the sauce for the romanoff once had a cockroach laying dead in it. crystal, the assistant general manager, treats most of her employees horribly and despite many of them putting in complaints, corporate has never done anything about her. if you don't look like a stereotypical hispanic person (i.e. black hair, tanned skin) she won't treat you as best as she does to the ones who fit in to that stereotypical appearance. if she's having a bad day, she goes out of her way to make the rest of her employees angry so she's not the only one suffering. she is a racist, bigoted, sexist woman. most of the cashiers who used to work there quit within a few months saying that she was the driving force behind it. one of these cashiers was brought to tears because of her, and quit within two weeks of hiring. she threatens to take away employees' overtime despite them working for long hours and sometimes double shifts, she has written people up for showing up "late" despite them not knowing their schedule was changed extremely last minute and it was completely her fault for not warning them. she pretends to be completely nice to every customer but behind the scenes, she mistreats and overworks her employees, most of whom are within their early 20, some still in high school. do not support this woman. read more
