Overall: kind service, fast casual cafe, fresh food, indoor and outdoor seating, single stall gendered restrooms I enjoyed a cup of coffee in a big mug and La Provencale, which was a savory crepe with fresh veggies. The crepe was perfectly done and the flavors were balanced. I felt very good after eating it.

It was my first time visiting Portsmouth for a race and my friends and I were looking for some delicious brunch food. Though Maison Navarre was not initially our first choice, we are so glad we eventually came to this restaurant! Their various dishes, including the avocado and salmon toast, as well as their waffle, were to die for! Their coffee and teas were also delicious. It was a perfect meal after a long run!! Highly recommend trying it!

Stopped in for brekkie & am never disappointed with their build your own croissant Sammie. Gryuere is my go to for cheese, I mix it up everytime I stopped, today just gruyere with 2 scrambled. Its crisp, fluffy & delicious. I've been visiting for years and they are always consistent & delish.

We had a fantastic Mother's Day Sunday brunch at La Maison Navarre - what a wonderful find! We were able to make a reservation for Mother's Day online but there also appeared to be walk-in tables and counter seating available. We sat upstairs which was cozy and quiet. Service was excellent and the food was great as well. Can't wait to try the macarons!

I was walking by this French bakery this past weekend and told myself I needed to come back to investigate. Drove back over later that night and got 3 pastry for an after dinner dessert with some tea. The staff was super friendly and polite and was happy to explain things and give recommendations. Ultimately, I loved everything. The Pistachio Tart was delicious and delivered a mild nutty flavor but wasn't overly sweet. The ganache inside was the perfect richness to balance out the light pistachio mousse. The Pear Hazelnut was still very good, but of the 3, my least favorite (absolutely still recommend especially if you're in the mood for something lighter and a little less rich), the hazelnut flavor wasn't quite as strong as I would have wanted but overall, still enjoyed it. Lastly, we ate the Royal au Choclat. One bite and all I could muster up was "oh god". It was unbelievable. It was rich, but not too sweet and the hazelnut flavor in there was very pronounced and it lent such a great texture contrast as there were some crispies layered in there. 10/10. Order we ate them in was Pear - Pistachio - Chocolate. It was the perfect order. Shared among 3 of us after dinner and it was just right. Loved this place and will absolutely be back. Perhaps during the day so I can enjoy the cafe for the full experience. It looked like a pleasant spot to enjoy an espresso or cortado.

Stopped by on a Sunday evening. Opened the door to hear a woman yelling toward the line at the counter "We're only serving macarons right now, we're about to close!" Not in a very nice tone. We may have stayed in line to get one, but that turned us off, and we left. Decided to give it a try the next day, only because we had a gift card. The woman at the counter was unfriendly (didn't smile once) and impatient while we decided, even though there was no line. She definitely was also put off by the gift card, and having to process it. We each got a coffee, which were both decent, the best part of the experience. My husband got a croissant sandwich, which was so toasted it bordered on burnt, not one to complain to restaurant staff, he simply just didn't eat most of it. I ordered a Parisian (rosemary ham and cheese) and added arugula and dill sauce. Best part about the sandwich was the pretty wrapping. The baguette was tough and chewy, and the sandwich was pretty flavorless. The only thing that stood out was the arugula that I had asked to be added. I also threw some of mine away. Maybe their pastries are better? Between the lackluster food, rude service, and high prices, I would find another nearby bakery. We left and got smoothies at Fresh Press (now Salud) instead. Much better experience. Two stars for the coffee.

We experienced the upstairs wine bar brunch, which is different from the general counter service section. They have different menus and styles... Brunch was great! They had a lot of coffee options to choose from (Americano, latte, cappuccino, etc) in two sizes-- small and large. They also have some fancy juice options that come in a glass bottle and are more of a purée, keeping to their French origin. The menu has both sweet and savory choices. This is a small spot, so reservations are required for the upstairs brunch.

We love this place, good food, pastries and good vibes. Definitely come back again. Highly recommended!

Excellent excellent excellent. The oatmilk cappuccino has a great toasty flavor, and has been reliably good on multiple visits. The pastries are terrific -- I've gotten the almond croissant and the chocolate twist, both of which were heavenly. Awesome crispy and flaky crust, with a nice chewiness on the inside. Staff is friendly (and from what I can tell, very authentically French). The cafe part has plenty of seating and feels very open and inviting. We've made it a point to visit each time we come to Portsmouth!

I had no clue that they served brunch on the weekends. What an amazing best kept secret. The pastry shop is wonderful and I always come for the macarons. $19 for 6 and $39 for 12. Upstairs you can sit and have full service at a table. The breakfast was so delightful. Service was great and our waitress was extremely knowledgeable about items on menu and the cheese shop. An array of imported cheese with great prices. I highly recommend this bistro. Bon appetit.

I stopped in at La Maison Navarre for a coffee and pastry this afternoon. Parking was tough in Portland on a Friday afternoon.... My latte was rich and creamy. My almond croissant was disappointing: the filling was delicious but the exterior was not as flaky and as crispy as it could be. The service was excellent.

Great cappuccino as we walked the walk for No Kings Rally. Well worth the stop for a cup.

I happened to be talking to my Mom before heading into town about this place & had wondered if it was still in business, she told me it was. Yippie! She also asked me to get her a popover. My friend's & I stopped in here so I could grab my Mom a popover. Since it was MSD it was busy & there was a small line but it moved quickly. I ordered a plan Popover for my Mom that came with a maple butter that Sand (took my order @ the register) told me that it was really good. My Mom enjoyed it. It was a good size & looked yummy! I also picked up a sugar cookie for myself that I carried around all day & due to the heat the frosting melted and my cookie got smushed but it was still pretty tasty. It was sweet but not too sweet. I'd love to go back for another one & eat it before I ruin it! LOL I also got a funfeti cupcake & found it to be very small & kinda dry. The frosting wasn't very sweet. I wouldn't get another cupcake as it's not worth the price ($3.46) or the taste. I used one of the unisex bathroom's while I was here which wasn't too bad for a busy MSD, but they had signs on the door that "bathrooms are for customers only" but I doubt they had any way to control the bathroom traffic. I still have $$$ left on my GC & will definitely be back to try something else & maybe even a popover! :-)
