Amazing selection of breakfast and lunch items as well as bakery goods. We were thrilled that they offered gluten free and dairy free options. I am not sure who the older woman was working today, July 5, but clearly customer service is not her forte. After dining in and nicely asking if I could please have a cup of ice, she rudely responded, "we don't have ice" -- as I was watching the sweet girl behind her scooping ice into cups, making iced coffee. Seriously!!! I was too taken aback to even respond. However, as a result, I would not go there again, nor would I recommend it based on someone like that working there. The rest of the staff is amazing, and the food is great!! But clearly, she needs to go before you lose any more customers! For the record, it takes a lot for me to ever give someone a negative review as I am in customer service myself. But this was warranted!! read more

Came here at the perfect time with my partner. There was no line, and we managed to snag a window seat (out of the 5 total available seatings). The area overall is quite small, if it wasn't obvious yet (ahem.. Yelp El33ters). It fits the New England vibe very well, with the ocean themed merchandise sold next to the window display for the pastries. I ordered a hot 12oz Mocha, with a breakfast sandwich with the choice of bacon and a fluffy English Muffin. And I was absolutely blown away at the flavor of this breakfast sandwich.. the egg was cooked just enough to allow for a runny yolk, with a creamy aioli that perfectly combines with the crispy, bacon and the salty melted slice of cheddar cheese. I did not feel any need to add any more salt or pepper, as the entire sandwich was made to perfection. Truly an underrated gem of a cafe in New Hampshire. read more

HOW HAVE I NOT BEEN HERE SOONER?!? The Islander Cafe is the place to be on the New Hampshire coast for delicious pastries, sandwiches, and coffee. We ordered a glazed donut, bacon egg and cheeses, and coffee. The donut was moist and fresh. The breakfast sandwich had homemade bread, high quality bacon, a freshly cooked egg, and a homemade aioli on it. Hands down the best cafe around. Even though I live 30 minutes away, I will be making the drive here because it's worth it! Also note that on weekends, parking can be difficult as there are only a few spots out front! read more

We first ordered a tuna sandwich, a current scone, a black coffee and a vanilla steamer. ALL were over the top. Probably the freshest and best tuna sandwich I ever had. Went back to the counter to order a quick bread blueberry muffin, and a bagel. Again, not a false note. It is not a NY bagel, but the best light, crispy bagel- like toast I've ever had. A very quaint and cute little restaurant in the area. Staff here was very friendly and the food was solid. They made a couple mistakes on our sandwiches but fix them fairly quickly. A nice surprise. Stopped in to have some breakfast this morning. I had the oatmeal that cooked perfectly and full of fresh apples, dried fruits, and nuts. Delicious! My wife had the breakfast sandwich with sausage, fresh tomato slices, and a hint of pesto on a freshly baked biscuit. She loved it! Top that off with two cups of great coffee, and you've got a perfect breakfast. Everyone was really nice and friendly, and the space was tidy and clean. P.S. Menu has all the staples a breakfast/lunch place should have but the chef found a way to make each item above and beyond expectations... best grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had.
