I usually go with some sort of chicken Shawarma but the last time I went here I opted for the salmon as it's a really solid choice while also going with the rice and salad on the side. We went to your Waterford location with our son and Grandkids for dinner to celebrate Saturday for an early Mother's Day dinner. My son and I got Whole Deboned Chicken to share. It was a horrible We did get 5 pieces of chicken, rice and the only vegetables on the tray was a joke! We got 1 carrot, 1 pc of squash 4 pickled radishes and a few pickles. We asked for more bread and were questioned. There was 5 adults eating at our table. He returned with 3 pcs and no butter. Our service was not good, we have been customers of LaMarsa for 30+ years. I ordered online: dozen fresh pita + 8oz garlic spread+ tomato kibbee+ side of stir fried veggies + 1QT of lentil soup. Was charged $52 for this. That is insane. The bread was ok, the garlic spread is garlic spread..it's good. The Lentil soup was alright. The tomato kibbee for $16.50 was meh & not worth that price at all. It was served cold (supposed to be) but it was gross cold-heated it up and it was edible. The side of veggies which was $6- included 3 & 1/2 baby carrots, 3 tiny pieces of green pepper, 3 pieces of onion and 4 small pieces of zucchini (picture). Seriously, bad enough that I could buy all of those veggies whole on their own & cook it up for less than $6...but they were ice cold at pick up (I was maybe 5 min late tops). These are very basic items to be getting from such a place & that is the point. Wont be back for the insane pricing for what you actually get, which is mediocre. read more

I hadn't eaten inside the restaurant in years, usually got carry out. I had the time so I went in today. I was immediately and pleasantly greeted. I found the restaurant to be nicely decorated and very clean. It almost looked new. The waitress was very sweet and efficient. I ordered the Fattoush salad with chicken and feta. While I waited, she brought some warm bread which I noticed a gentleman was baking fresh, inside what looked to be a brick oven. My salad was crispy fresh with warm chicken and was a nice portion to fill my hungry self! The salad dressing was very flavorful and had a nice tang to wake up my taste buds! We decided to seek cover from the freezing temperature by going to a movie over in Auburn Hills and finding a place to eat afterward in Waterford where his parents live. This spot showed up high on the list of recommended local eateries, and we were in the mood for Mediterranean. When we entered, it looked more like a Cracker Barrel than the casbah, but the menu was full of the expected dishes and delicacies. Jamie and I decided to split a few things, and trust me when I say they're far from stingy when it came to portions. Honestly was disappointed after leaving this location today. I love all the other La Marsa restaurants but today is my LAST time going to the Waterford location. We did not like our beef kebabs, they were so chewy and it felt like you were biting into fat each bite you took and felt like I was endlessly chewing. Not to mention each piece was the size of a quarter. For $26 that's a bit steep for me. Our server did not care that we did not like the food and she did have a passive aggressive attitude. She did nothing to make sure our experience was a good one here. She was just rude. At the end of our meal she said she'd take the meat off of our order but she already gave the salad that came with it so we had that, and left our rice for us. Ultimately she charged us $5 less than what the original bill would have been and pretty much up charged us for salad and rice. Sad to say that we spent that much money on salad and rice because of the way our server rang it up. She did nothing to help and I am not one to ever complain about my food, but the meat was just not edible! I'm sure there is other good food. All around our server and the quality of the meat is what will be the reason we are not returning to this location again. We ordered catering here for Christmas it was fresh crisp and delicious. This is our favorite Mediterranean and they never disappoint. Portions are always huge and they even accommodated us with my dads restrictions with sauces. It was so good we forgot to take pics of the spread.
