Went in the other day looking to upgrade my very old old Queen mattress. I spoke with Angela, let her know specifically what I was looking for, and she immediately directed me to 3 or 4 different choices they had available in store. She explained the differences in mattresses and didn't try to upsell or take me out of my price range, just tried to find the most ideal mattress for what I was looking for. These guys were very helpful and patient when committing to such a high dollar purchase, I value the fact that I was accommodated to while making a decision. I hadn't gotten a new mattress in about 12 years (!!!!!) and got a tempurpedic. The only reason for the 4/5 stars is because they delivered the wrong mattress once I placed my order. Carlos is the manager of the Glendale store. I had an appointment with a sales person at a mattress store one block north of LA Mattress. I was unaware of LA Mattress but made a wrong turn into their parking lot. As I entered the store, Carlos greeted me and I asked for the lady I had made the appointment with. Carlos replied that there was no lady working at the store, "only me", he replied. Realizing I had obviously made a mistake, I motioned to leave, but Carlos was persistant that he had a wide array of mattresses he could show me. I was early for my scheduled appointment and somewhat reluctantly I was finally agreed to stay a few minutes. Bottom line, I ended up purchasing a mattress from Carlos the following week. It's perfect and delivery and setup was achieved based on my schedule, at a great price. A couple entered the store as we were finalizing my transaction. We had an excellent experience with Henry, who was on loan from the Culver City store. We have had serious issues with Carlos, who is at the Glendale store full time. We placed our order and received an original delivery date of Saturday, a few days after their normal shipping - no problem. We were told they would call Friday night with what time they would drop off Saturday - no call. We called Saturday, and were told someone would call us back immediately with where our mattress was. An hour later, a warehouse manager says they don't know what happened but they don't have the mattress. He said we would have it for sure Monday. We call Monday, after not receiving a call, and are told Tuesday. We call Tuesday and are told "it's a pandemic," which is hilarious (like we had missed it). We obviously understand shipping delays due to the pandemic and the delay is not the problem. The problem is that we have called 4 times trying to find the status of our mattress instead of LA mattress communicating to us about the status of our order. Avoid this place at all costs, unless you want to go to see Henry in Culver City. read more

Originally this was 5 stars, but we lowered it to 2 for one key reason -- Jeff told us if we gave the shop 5 stars on Yelp they would give us a free mattress pad. Shady, but who doesn't want a free mattress pad you'll have to buy anyway? We did our review, but they never came through on their end. Their voice mail supposedly doesn't work so they didn't get our first message, then they were supposed to bring it to the store and forgot -- after we drove out to pick it up -- and then Jeff was out sick and no one could help us. Finally, we gave up. Here's the thing: We would have given them 5 stars had that shady offer not been presented. We shopped around at Ortho and Sit & Sleep, and each time we got the slimy sales experience -- better deals lobbed our way as we walked toward the door. When we came to Mattress Connection it was the total opposite. Jeff could have up-sold us on everything, but instead he was super chill. He explained everything, let us take our time, and made us feel welcome there. The mattress ended up being cheaper than what we thought we were going to spend, AND a better experience... until this mattress pad thing. I would still say to go there, but be wary of any side deals they offer. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM! The sales person was nice when we visit. However, they supported to give us two king size pillows and they arrived with two standard size of pillows. After two weeks of waiting for the exchange, the other sale person just told me that the manufacture doesn't make king size pillow at all and I should just have to live with them in a terrible attitude. I bought a mattress here and at 1 & 1/2 month bed that supposedly superior quality started sagging by the 2nd month. It has 1 and 1/2 inches sagging. I've reported this defective product on my second month (late Nov to early Dec) I was promised help to get it replaced for this isn't normal and I hardly weigh 150. Why would a superior form bed sag in 60 days by 1 & 1/2 inches! I've made multiple attempts to get by bed replaced but all I got is NOTHING! With my bad back, I get very little sleep because the bed is very uncomfortable! No one returns my emails & calls after being promised to get bed replaced! The best part is if we don't like it, they have a 60 day exchange policy that honors the full value of the mattress towards another one (other shops were charging a 20% restocking fee).
