There's no doubt about it, this OG mediterranean place is the trifecta: authentic food that doesn't try too hard, attentive and passionate service, great prices OH and bonus... 15$ corkage fee. the tables outside are very cozy w overhead heaters if you want a little people watching or dining with your doggie cheers

Got a catered apps platter to go for a friends birthday. Hummus was sooo good and the owner was nice enough to give us an extra bag. Restaurant was packed, def gotta come back here and try other stuff!

Not sure if it was because it was a big order or it was during their rush hour, but my to go order was incorrect. Ordered their east plate: mixed greens w/ feta, chicken, lamb, and falafel. I got like four or five pieces of greens with no feta. Got the chicken, did not get the lamb or falafel. Got the spinach thing and a dessert and hummas. Got their side of sauces too. Chicken was pretty good, but a bit on the dry side, the hummas and side of sauces helped. The spinach was good, had nice and crispy wrap. Dessert one was good, think it was baklava? Not sure I'd try take out again, maybe dine in.

Food: A+ Service: A++ Vibes: A+ Love this place. Came with a friend to get some light bites and was a bit overwhelemed with the selection. We wanted a little of everything. Our server comes to the rescue, saying we can do a part of their meza platter and add a lamb kabob dish so we can get everything we wanted. Excellent. For two people, the noshes ended up to be a little too much, but mostly because we ate EVERYTHING. Like there's nothing that we avoided. Lamb kabob was delicious. Not gamey, soft. Delicious. Meza is literally small bites of everything you'd want. Staff were amazing, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing.

A favorite! Very consistent and always good value for price. The staff are always very kind. There is indoor and outdoor seating and while it is usually busy I've never had to wait to be seated. The inside is a bit small, feels like a hole in the wall. Particular fan of the lamb shawarma over rice. Their fresh pita bread always hits the spot. My friends also love the pomegranate chicken.

Chicken pomegranate - very nice.

Nice atmosphere and good service. Ambiance is fun. Tried the chicken pomegranate and that was very nice. A generous portion and the rice and salad was good. The hummus is nice as well. The lamb Lule was not as good - texture was a bit unexpected - too smooth and homegenized, flavor was okay. The lemon cake was not very good - too sweet with a raspberry drizzle that was also too sweet and made the cake a bit soggy. Would not recommend.

Speaking for the Fillmore location, the service is always super nice and friendly! Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us good tips. At the end of the meal, we got free dessert! Each dish was super tasty. I loved how the meat was tender and slid easily off the bone. The fillo was one of my favorites - super flaky and warm.

Incredible food and menu. It was so hard to choose something when given so many amazing options. Everything was beyond delicious. The staff were so nice and accommodating. There was outdoor seating so we brought my dog. The hummus was delicious! Also the Moroccan mint tea. So many highlights! Must come back to try everything else. New favorite place.

Well executed Mediterranean food with superb service! We went on Friday during lunch time and though busy, we were quickly seated and the wait staff was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We ordered the large combination platter, large bowl of chicken lemon soup and veggie kebab plate. Every item was delicious! The rice was some of the best rice I have ever eaten and the chicken lemon soup was WOW! It was clear that each dish was made with fresh ingredients. Be aware that though tofu is an ingredient listed in vege kebab, each kebab only contains 1 piece of tofu. Meal was the lovely combination of being both light and filling. We look forward to our next visit!

My friends and I stopped by for a late dinner and I immediately noticed how cozy and inviting the interior of the restaurant is. Lots of color, art, and plants. We were greeted by a very friendly server who recommended several dishes to share and we took him up on his recommendation! We ordered the Mediterranean Meza, beef kebabs, and falafel plate. This was plenty of food for 4 people and we had some leftovers to take home. The Mediterranean meza dish was great because it came with some many things to try! My group particularly liked the pomegranate chicken, beef kebabs, and fillos. Everything was so delicious. I highly recommend checking out La Mediterranee and I would definitely come back

Hummus, vegetables, Falafel and Armenian Potato Salad

Celebrating Independence Day 2025, we participated in the annual Fillmore Jazz Festival this past weekend on glorious sunny (no Carl the Fog) listening to amazing Jazz, classical, Rock n Roll and all varieties of music, food, arts & crafts. Despite the abundance of food vendors we decided to have a late lunch at La Mediterranee on Fillmore Street. Fortunately, we were able to immediately secure a outside table on the busy festive sidewalk. Our server Kiara (from Peru) and our dear companion instantly connected speaking Spanish. We knew that our experience was going to be VERY fun and exceptional! My wife and I have been to this Pacific Heights location numerous times over the decades and we always are excited to experience their service and cusine. Kiara's incredible smile, menu recommendations and attitude was perfect! Her recommendation selections based on listening to our dietary needs and preferences were spot on! We ordered the larger sample platter "Mediterranean Meza" which included Hummus, Baba Ghanoush, Tabuleh, Falafel, Armenian Potato Salad, Dollar Grape Leaf, Spinach & Feta Fillo, Rice Pilaf, Chicken Cilicia, Lamb Lule and Chicken Pomegranate and my favorite Avgolemono Soup (traditional Greek chicken and lemon soup). ALL the dishes were SPECTACULAR! Period. The location listening to the Jazz Festival music, watching the huge crowds passing on the side walk and commenting how delicious our meal appeared made for a relaxing Sunday afternoon delightful experience. Between the four of us the plates were totally consumed with culinary pleasure. The service by our Peruvian server, Kiara, made our afternoon like being in the shores of The Mediterranean and perfect in every way. We highly recommend LA Mediterranee as a special treat right here in San Francisco and save on a 12 hours flight! Bravo!

Chicken Pomegranate Dinner
Melissa L.

Some of the best Mediterranean food I've had in the city! Their famous pomegranate chicken is so juicy and moist, falls right off the bone! It also comes with a generous portion of rice and potato salad, which were both delicious. My entree was about $24 not including tax and tip. This was definitely a pricier meal after all added fees but I would visit again. Servers were friendly and although the restaurant isn't the largest, there is plenty of outdoor seating. Do keep in mind that for larger parties, there is an automatic 25% gratuity, on top of all other sales tax and SF city taxes. This made the meal quite expensive - our end total was 40% more than the subtotal

Deepthi T.

I really loved my experience at La Mediterranee! If you're with some friends shopping on Fillmore, stop by for a quick bite! They have a lovely indoor seating, but it was nice and sunny so we got patio seating. It was very clean and the service was quick, very nice! We shared a combination plate with Hummus, Baba Ghanoush & Tabouleh. Includes fresh veggies and pita bread- super fresh! I liked the hummus and the veggies, it was such a good share-able app! We also got dolma, they were great! Not soggy at all, very good! Not pictured because we ate it too quickly but the stuffed dates were fantastic, the soft caramel like date really hit after the apps. I highly recommend for a light healthy meal or shareable apps. If it were later in the day, we would've gotten drinks to share too! Such a great spot!

You know the food is going to be good when the owner or manager comes out to ask you how the food is to each costumer. I felt that warmth for sure. As for the food it was very delicious the stand out was of course was rmthe shawarma I got chicken which came with the pomegranate molasses, which was good, but maybe next time I can ask for a little less because I do want to also try the chicken flavor itself, which is why I also for the chicken kakbab on the side to which was very well seasoned and delicious. The pickles and hummus on the side for both plates are a very nice touch they help cut some of the richness down. The fries are the underrated gem also. The way they are fried and cooked here, I think they do fresh batches every time, that is the vibe I get with this place. The hibiscus juice was also really refreshing to drink. It's a small place but most of the tables were all seated by people, and people were coming in and ordering to go, so you know it's good! Definitely give this place a try!

3.5 stars, rounded down. Good food but overpriced…read more I dined at Dalida this past Saturday evening, excited to see if they could live up to the hype. We received sparkling wine as a welcome to help celebrate a special occasion - nice touch. While Dalida has a lot going for it (good food and a stunning location) the prices are out of step with the quantity of the food received as well as the service. Service - professional and effective, but aloof and downscale in places. The quality of the service does not match the upscale environment and pricing. Very little warmth or polish. The food is good. Breaking Bread - $18 - 5/5. A highlight and star of the night. The single chubby pita served with this dish is not enough to finish all of the dips though, so you may well need to order another. Grapeleaf Duck Dolmas - $28 - 4/5. Delicious but woefully overpriced for the few dolmas that you get in this small dish. Tomato Fattoush Salad - $18 - 3.5/5. Vibrant and fresh, but not a cohesive dish. Tomato heavy. Overpriced for a small salad. Dungeoness Crab Hilopides - $40 - 4/5. Mild crab flavor blends well with the slightly overcooked pasta. Tasty but has nothing to elevate it to justify the price. Kayseri Monti - $29 - 4.5/5. Delicious lamb dumplings. Again though, in a recurring theme, there aren't nearly enough of them to justify the price. Chocolate Hazelnut Tart - $14 - 3.5/5. Fine but nothing special. Wild Pistachio Coffee - $9 - 3/5. Firstly, this isn't coffee. Second, it's a tiny portion. Again, wildly overpriced. Tasty if you like pistachio. The cocktails were not good. Either the bartender lacks skill at executing recipes or the recipes need iteration to better balance the drinks. Pasha - $18 - 2/5. What read as if it would be delicious ended up being not much more than sugar water. No discernible smoke or alcohol. Bodrum Negroni - $20 - 2/5. Wildly overpriced. Had a wonderful mezcal nose which disappeared in the drinking. Overwhelmingly sweet and salty. Extremely unbalanced drink. Ambiance: 4.5/5 Service: 2.5/5 Food: 4/5 Value: 1.5/5 Total for two, all-in, with three drinks: $300. This did not feel like other $300 meals I've had in the past and left us with a feeling of disappointment and lack of value.

My husband and I have been coming here for YEARS. It started with a date night, turned to birthdays, anniversaries and family dinners. This place has been so very special to us, that we even hosted our Wedding Dinner Reception here after our Wedding in SF, which was INCREDIBLE. I have to shout out Jessica and Fera. They were BEYOND kind during the whole planning process for our wedding. They helped create a perfect menu and calmed me with any questions I had weeks leading up to our wedding. Fera was also able to add some of our favorites to our specialized menu. Rather than dismissing our concerns, they took our feedback to heart and extended an invitation to return--one we decided to accept. Last night, we had dinner at Arya and it was the event of the day for my wife and me. From the moment we arrived, the entire team--from the receptionists to our server Serdar and the support staff--treated us as honored guests. Every interaction felt warm and genuine. The food was exceptional. We started with a mezze platter featuring delicious spreads, pastries, and felafel, followed by a mixed green salad that showcased some of the best burrata we've ever had, topped with tiny, sweet berries. Our main courses were equally memorable: a stunning Fesenjoon pomegranate-walnut chicken stew with a perfect balance of slightly sweet and tart, and a side of basmati rice studded with almonds, pistachios, berries, and orange peel. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, unique, and delicious. But what truly made the evening special was the service and genuine hospitality. Serdar, our server, was remarkably warm and attentive. We had fascinating conversations with him about his world travels, the uniqueness of Persian cuisine, and his recommendations for authentic Turkish breakfast and dinner spots (he's half Greek and half Turkish, which made his recommendations all the more authentic and personal). Mehdi introduced himself during the meal and checked in on us with a genuine interest in our experience, not just as a manager, but as someone who truly cares. When we mentioned we had no room for dessert, Mehdi surprised us with a beautifully presented pistachio-saffron ice cream served in an ornate bowl made of ice--a perfect final touch that felt like a work of art. This visit demonstrated that Arya is a restaurant that listens, cares, and delivers on its promise to provide not just excellent food, but genuine hospitality. We left feeling valued and delighted.
