AVOCADO TOAST
Heather D.

This little spot is truly a hidden gem, me and my mom stopped inside for a quick lunch after seeing it in passing by, and I'm so glad we did. The food came out quickly and the owner was so kind, he made sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed. The coffees were strong and flavorful, the food tasted fresh, and the inside was clean and spacious. Highly recommend if you need a spot for lunch, as it does close pretty early.

A complimentary bag of Turkish pistachios!

I really wanted to try shrimp and grits without bacon. I know that smoky bacon creates that classic "southern comfort" flavor but I prefer letting shrimp shine. The chef was a little skeptical about my request but he still allowed me to order it without bacon. I added a touch of Cholula for smoky heat and created a Mediterranean-forward, chopped tomato rich flavor. I did not want bacon to hijack this harmony :) Polenta itself was so creamy that I will have to ask for their secret. I cook it at home occasionally but it's always grainy at home. I received a complimentary bag of Turkish pistachios as a first time guest. It made my day! I'll be back for more shrimp and grits and to try their pistachio pancakes.

Lovely pistachio-themed restaurant. Such an underrated spot! The line on a Saturday morning wasn't bad at all compared to other brunch places nearby with lines that wrap around the block. Food was delicious and tasted so fresh. Portions are on the smaller side. A lot of the menu items are on-theme with pistachio pancakes, pistachio smoothie, and other fun items. They were out of pistachio baklava that day, so definitely need to come back to try it. Pistachio smoothie: 10/10 Soo good and creamy. It's the perfect blend of banana and pistachio nuttiness. Pistachio pancakes: 8/10 Some solid fluffy pancakes. Couldn't really taste the pistachio flavor, but still delicious. Salmon bruschetta: 10/10 Very light and refreshing. The salad was so good with the tangy dressing. Toasted bread paired well with the smoked salmon and microgreens. Shakshuka: 9/10 Loved how flavorful this was. Came with pita bread. Sauce was really rich.

love this cafe for working or chilling -- there's lots of tables and space. the menu has lots of unique offerings like pistachio latte ($6.90), which was good but the syrup was all at the bottom and a little too sweet

Pistachio Kitchen is a super cute cafe off of Franklin and Pine St. The owner is extremely friendly and made us feel welcomed and taken care of! I ordered the breakfast burrito and iced pistachio latte. Both items were delicious! The burrito was super filling, and they did not skimp on the bacon. I will say it was a little bit greasy on the exterior but very tasty overall. They have a huge selection of hot sauces to choose from. The baklava was outstanding and I really enjoyed the pistachio latte

FRENCH TOAST- FRUIT

Food: French Toast with fruit Presentation was nice, but taste wise, it really depends on whether you like your French Toast on the softer or harder side. Me personally, I felt the toast was a bit too soft, teetering towards a mushy/soggy texture that perhaps was a result of the bread not being stale enough. Fruit was great. Service: One of the few brunch spots where it requires you to place your order at the register, as opposed to having it taken at your table. No need to wait for your order to be taken nor wait for the check to be brought over. No issues on my end and my food was brought over in a prompt manner. Ambiance was nothing out of the ordinary and is what you expect out of a brunch spot.

Rating: Visited: 11/2 around 11:30 1. Overall Experience: Overall good experience server was attentive and made sure our food was alright! Short wait about 30 min. Bright open dining area very welcoming and good vibes! 2. Service: Server was good! Made sure we were updated about the wait. 3. Food / Product / Service Quality: Food was alright, i got the grilled veggies with salmon, the salmon was overcooked for my taste and the carrots were a little on the crunchy side. Didnt really taste the lemon vinaigrette and thought over all the dish needed more seasoning. My friends however got the bacon omelette, fresh fruit french toast and fries! Overall i would give the veggies and salmon a 6/10, the omelette 8/10 french toast 7/10 and fries 7/10 4. Atmosphere / Environment: [Describe the vibe, cleanliness, music, lighting, or overall feel. Example: "Cozy spot with low lighting and great music. Everything looked clean and well-kept."] 5. Value for Money: The grilled veggies with salmon is the only thing i think was overpriced for what it was ($27) however the french toast and omelette were about $18 each and good value! 7. Would You Return?: Def would return to at the least try the bottomless mimosas! It's worth going back and trying other dishes as well! (I saw chilaquiles on the menu i would def try that! The shrimp and grits also smelled amazing! )

Food Rating: 7.25 Price: 8 Ambiance/Service: 9 Overall Rating: 8.08 Visited: Sunday, around 11:30 AM Wait Time: ~30 minutes (they do take weekend reservations!) The restaurant is spacious and lively just a bit loud, music was great. They gave us each a piece of pistachio baklava on the house. The service was quick and fast. Water and ordering was self service. Bacon omelette - $20 Rating (9/10) I really enjoyed this dish! Beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. The texture was light and fluffy, and the flavor combination really worked. French Toast - $17 Rating (7/10) The French toast was a little soggy. The fruit on top was super fresh. Roasted Veggie Bowl + salmon ($8) - $25 Rating (5/10) The veggies were okay but could've used more roasting for depth of flavor, especially the carrots. The salmon, unfortunately, was overcooked and dry, which made it taste fishy. There also needed to be more lemon vinaigrette overall. French Fries - $6 Rating (8/10) Lacking seasoning. But the fries were super hot and fresh.

Local restaurant with Turkish coffee and pistachio offerings. The shakshuka was the best I've had within the area. Very fresh and flavorful. I loved the fresh fruit with the French toast. Ordering is very easy, you order and pay at the register before finding seating and the staff brings your food, utensils, drinks to you promptly!

Great neighbourhood spot with nice ambiance and great pistachio latte. Tried their avocado toast and shashuksa with beef sausage - both tasted delicious. Service was fast and friendly!

Great Turkish coffee ! The staff are both the kindest and most helpful folks guiding you onto the best choice for drinks! Shout out to Ahmet and Edgar! These two guys were so outstanding today! Ahmet remade my Turkish coffee with cream compared to the shot by itself. Such a great difference in taste yet rich in flavor ! Thank you guys for your hard work and smiles!

Pistachio kitchen is the real deal for breakfast foods. I love the diversity of options including a lot of good foods for meat lovers and vegetarians. They even have pistachio and chocolate croissants! I got the vegetarian omelette and the pistachio smoothie and both were absolutely delicious! If I had to pick a favorite food though it would have to be the perfectly cooked and crispy side of roasted house potatoes. I will literally come back just to eat those again! The pistachio smoothie was also something I've never had before and I'm so glad I tried it! What was even more impressive was how fast the service was. I got my food in less than 10 minutes after sitting down and the wait staff was so kind. Come here for a nice meal in a cozy restaurant tucked away in a quieter part of SF.

I haven't been to Rich Table yet, but the name definitely carries some weight, so I came in with high expectations for this concept. The staff was patient, welcoming, and happy to answer questions, and the space itself is thoughtfully designed with a clean, modern feel that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy your meal. I almost ordered the half chicken, but ended up going with the rice bowl since it had everything I wanted in one dish. It was excellent. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, the sides were fresh and vibrant, and the rich, slightly fatty rice tied everything together. It struck a great balance between hearty and refreshing, and the portion was filling without feeling heavy. At the price point, it also felt like a great value. I didn't even feel the need to reach for the hot sauce or chimichurri because the bowl stood well on its own, but both were delicious and worth trying. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to the next time I'm in Hayes Valley.

It's the kind of bowl you order when you want to feel bright and satisfied. Now if you're in the mood for something warm, crunchy, and nutty, the Bangkok Bowl is your girl. The texture, the richness, the cozy vibes -- chef's kiss. It's hearty without being heavy and hits all the comfort-food notes. And can we talk about portions?! These bowls are NO joke. So while I can't speak to in person service or decor the delivery is on point. My peachy salad was just ok. The chicken was cold and not crunchy, and the cornbread crumbles were not crunchy at all, like kind of in between stale and crunchy... weird combo. Peaches and pickled onions were awesome though. The dressings that it came with which were a bbq sauce and some type of special ranch also were a weird combo, glad it was on the side vs in the salad itself otherwise I'm not sure I would have eaten it. Crispy cauliflower was good but definitely not crispy at all! Probably got softer on delivery but definitely not something that should be advertised as crispy when it's not... Steak was barely flavorful, quite cold even though it was "cooked on the spot". The caramelized onions were cold and nothing out of this world - if anything because they were chilled, they lost a bit of their flavoring. The croutons were nonexistent, I almost had to go back and ask if they could add some until I found 3-4 at the very bottom of my bowl. A lot of greens which was good, good serving there. I got a side of focaccia and that was delicious (do wish they offered to toast it a bit, it'd be that much more yummy!). As for my other visits, same applies - unfortunately it's just an overpriced salad I know I can make better at home. Not to mention 1 of my visits was a pickup order and they completely forgot my dressing on the side. All in all, I am very let down by this place. Dare I say I love and prefer it to be Sweet Green. Bummer, I really was happy to have this in the area.

My personal favorites are the Spring Salad which is seasonal, the Caesar Salad, Tostada Salad, and Waldorf Salad. They also do great meat sides that you can add to your salad, like grilled steak, salmon, or shrimp. These add-ons cost an extra $8-$12, so when all is said and done you could be paying close to $40 for your salad after tax, which is a little bananas. Still, I can tell they put a lot of care into their ingredient selection, and it's a good option if you don't mind lighting some cash on fire. I do wish they had some more convenient locations closer to the Financial District or Mission Bay, but maybe one day!

No legitimate phone ordering system needs your CVV read aloud over the phone; that's the kind of information you only enter yourself on a secure, encrypted checkout page. Asking for it verbally is a red flag for how they're handling (or storing) customer payment data. On top of that, the location was too busy for me to just park and order in person instead. The restaurant itself made a great first impression. It was clean, organized, and even had a nice little area set up for social media photos. Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to the presentation. I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl with Greek chicken. The chicken was dry, and it was obvious the seasoning had been sprinkled on after it was cooked instead of being cooked into the meat. I also ordered the Brussels sprouts and fried cauliflower. The Brussels sprouts looked perfectly crispy, which is exactly how they should have been, but they were soft and soggy instead. To make matters worse, the sauce was packed inside the same container, so the steam made them even soggier while also heating the small plastic sauce container inside. The fried cauliflower was equally disappointing. It looked crispy because of its golden brown color, but there wasn't a bit of crunch. Instead, it was oddly firm, almost al dente, making it feel more undercooked than fried. I also tried the garlic chicken soup, expecting something similar to Avgolemono. Instead, it was a thin, watered down broth with the same dry chicken pieces from the Mediterranean Bowl tossed in. The pita bread served with it was honestly the worst part of the meal and the only thing I threw away. Nothing was completely inedible, but for more than $60 worth of takeout, I expected food that matched the clean, inviting atmosphere of the restaurant. Sadly, this experience fell well short of that, and it's not a place I'll be returning to.
