    Branzino
    Selina P.

Great food, nice but slow service, & has heated outdoor seating Favorite dish - calamari. The tomato and couscous worked really well, and the calamari was tender The branzino was cooked & flavored very nicely but is a very hands on and boney fish. I would order it again Trio of spreads - delicious, definitely a must order. The manti was yummy but a bit heavy. The sauce for the noodles reminded me a bit of sour cream or cream cheese. Good for sharing Moussaka was delicious, the eggplant was cooked well Overall, I'd come back to get a few repeat items and to try more on their menu if I have a few hours for dinner. Definitely a restaurant worth trying!

    Sunrise Combo

On a weekday morning, people were slowly trickling into Lokma. Since my friends and I came right as they opened, it took a while for our order to come out after ordering, but service was friendly. I tried their Sunrise Combo, which was a filling portion of Greek yogurt, two blueberry pancakes, eggs, and sausage. The eggs and pancakes were prepared just right, but I wish that they served a bit more of the flavorful sausage. Even eating on an empty stomach, I was not able to finish the dish and had some food to take home as leftovers.

Parking here is no joke We circled around for almost 20 mins before giving up and parking at our friend's place 6 blocks away. It was pretty busy for their Sunday brunch. We ended up sitting in their outdoor area on the sidewalk, which was fine because there were heaters. My partner and I shared the Turkish meatball wrap and that was amazing, especially with the sauces it came with. Our friends ordered the Turkish breakfast, menemen, turlu omelet, and the sunrise combo, and everything looked so yum. We also ordered a few Turkish teas. I've heard Lokma is known for their traditional Turkish dinner dishes, but my friend mentioned the brunch menu is a little less traditional. Definitely want to come back to try their dinner menu next time!

Meatball Wrap, Greek Yogurt Pancakes, and mushroom soup

This place always looked crowded and I added my name to the waitlist on yelp before heading over, by the time I arrived I was ready to be seated! We saw outside and it was thankfully not cold in the parklet, it definitely blocked all the wind and I felt nice and cozy. Everything was pretty affordable and delicious. We shared the mushroom soup and they split it for us into two bowls. It was delicious, not heavy, and the lemon complimented it nicely. It was very warming and tasty. We also got the meatball wrap, which was quite big and tasty, and came with some super crispy potatoes. It also came with some tzatziki which was great. Lastly, we shared the sunrise combo. The eggs and the pancakes were fluffy and not too sweet, went well with the yogurt and blueberries. Overall, everything was great and pretty good in price. I would come back and try other items on the menu as everything looked great!

    Turkish Breakfast For 2

Good for brunch! We visited Lokma on a Sunday afternoon and got seated right away. We were hoping to enjoy the sun, but unfortunately all their outdoor tables were in the shade, so it was somewhat chilly out there. I ended up ordering a Turkish Tea just to warm up. For food, our server recommended we get the Turkish Breakfast For 2 and Greek Yogurt Pancakes to share between the 3 of us, so that's exactly what we did. The Turkish Breakfast included scrambled eggs with beef sausage, feta, olives (which we subbed out), muhammara, hazelnut spread, tomatoes and cucumber, kaymak with honey, and warm pita. My favorites were the feta and kaymak, but overall I enjoyed the mix of sweet and savory items. The Greek Yogurt Pancakes were also tasty, especially the blueberry compote, and I liked that they weren't overly sweet. The portion size of the meal was perfect to share between 3 people. Service was friendly and quick. Would be curious to try out their dinner menu!

Turlu Omelette and Grilled Meatballs Wrap

Oh Lokma, I think you've been bookmarked since the pandemic for me. My best friend and I came for an afternoon meal and were left satisfied. Lokma is a popular and well known Turkish spot in the city. I'd always been curious about their brunch. I suggested my best friend and I dine here and added us to the waitlist. Since it's a popular spot, I recommend keeping in mind the wait times. They have both indoor and outdoor dining and are dog friendly. We sat outside where they also had a heater. Service was super friendly and kind! Very neighborhood charm type of vibes. I'd always wanted to try the Turlu Omelette which is what I got. It's ratatouille in an omelette. I honestly found it fine but a bit watery with the veggies. I also wish I could taste more seasoning within. It is a good job filling me up but I don't think I'd order it again. I'd be interested in coming back to try their dinner. Lokma is a neighborhood staple for Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine. They're off Clement in the Richmond, so parking is street or metered. I'm glad I could check off this spot off my list!

No side plate - orange slices in my Arnold Palmer glass, knife resting on the ketchup ramekin
    Elma C.

At Lokma, one of my favorite spices, cinnamon (I use it in savory dishes as well like chili) ruined my appetite. The omelet was beautifully executed, it was fluffy, soft set, folded. Tzatziki on eggs? Amazing. The Arnold Palmer was balanced and very refreshing. The staff was very attentive and the actual wait was only 10 minutes. I love the restaurant interior. The issue with ratatouille was cinnamon dominating so much that I couldn't taste anything else. The server mentioned they don't typically add cinnamon to ratatouille then confirmed with the kitchen that they do. Also - no side plate meant juggling utensils and orange slices (at this point covered in savory veggie sauce) in my ketchup ramekin and Arnold Palmer glass :( I'll be back but I'll be asking questions before I order any items.

San Francisco, California Clement Street, Outer Richmond Our bed and breakfast was located a few blocks away, and this cozy Turkish inspired restaurant was recommended. Arrived a half hour early for our reservation, and was seated inside right away. (Outside seating with heaters and blankets is available) but this Hawaii girl likes being warm! Tried Efes Turkish beer-yum, followed by warming cream mushroom soup. Love a good mushroom soup on any day. We had stuffed ourselves earlier so we decided to share the patata bravas -crispy fried potatoes in house sauce, feta and olives. Then came the most popular dish at the restaurant, Manti. Tiny beef filled dumplings, covered in yogurt and tomato sauce. Something about the size of the dumplings made this dish especially delicious. This is a place I would visit again and again.... Friendly service, upscale, but not pretentious.

A great morning walk comes with a great breakfast in the neighborhood. I liked the eggs with chess and pots totes. For the bread, it's was a let down. It didn't even have any sort of softening sauce to company it. I would recommend that it adds some cream cheese or anything in that nature to diversify the flavor. The people here were cleaning when we were sitting down. They were nice and polite. The place is cute in the neighborhood.

Grilled Lamb & Beef Meatball Wrap
    David K.

Lokma is a popular spot in the Richmond for its Turkish-inspired brunch. We started with a spread of three creamy spreads: muhammara, baba ghanoush, and tzatziki, served with slices of warm pita. The Traditional Turkish Breakfast offered a nice spread of items for sharing, including scrambled eggs with sujuk and a cold platter of feta, olives, walnuts, cucumber/tomato, sweet hazelnut spread, muhammara, kaymak with honey, and pita bread. My favorite part of the spread was the scrambled eggs, which had a bouncy yet fluffy texture and a nice salty flavor from the thinly sliced sujuk. The Menemen was another tasty dish of eggs scrambled with tomatoes and peppers, topped with feta cheese. But the most flavorful dishes we tried both came from the lunch menu. The Papas Bravas were fried potatoes served with a sweet, savory, tangy, and spicy red sauce, topped with feta and olives; and the Grilled Lamb & Beef Meatball Wrap came with spiced meat patties, roasted poblano peppers, and fresh herbs in a grilled lavash flatbread, served with crispy potatoes and tzatziki on the side. Overall, the dishes here were flavorful and delicious, though somewhat expensive for what they were (but that's brunch in SF for you!). The service was quick and friendly, and the indoor and outdoor seating had a nice relaxed atmosphere.

What a long wait put our name down at 1 PM on a Saturday and the wait for 3 was about 40 minutes. Walked over to get a coffee at coffee roasters down the street while we waited. BREAKFAST MENU: Papas Bravas: 5/5 the creamy sauce was delicious. This was definitely the first dish emptied. Meatball Wrap: 3/5 light on the protein not too many crazy flavors. Would pass on this. Spread: 3/5 typical pita bread and three different dips. Also, nothing special. Turkish coffee: ordered one to try. Size of an espresso shot. Not my thing. Sunrise combo (scrambled eggs, and two Greek yogurt pancakes) : 3/5 pretty disappointed in this dish just because a lot of reviews said that the Greek yogurt pancakes were amazing, but they just tasted like any other pancake I've had at other diners. Cozy environment really enjoyed the service and ambience. Food was just OK not impressed and given how long the weight is and how difficult it is to find parking. I probably wouldn't come back.

Look at this Turkish breakfast. It was super yum!

I'm so glad I found Lokma! This is easily one of my favorite brunch spots in Richmond District. The atmosphere is lovely and our waitress was both welcoming and attentive. Not sure what to get, she recommended the Turkish breakfast, which she said keeps people coming back. Now I know why! The Turkish platter was served charcuterie-style, which offered a delicious variety of both savory and sweet items that pair well with the pita bread, eggs, and sausage. I love the honey spread! I'm not picky, but I was not able to figure out what I didn't like since it was that good! Having a bit of everything feels so much more fun and satisfying than a typical American diner breakfast. Lokma deserves its spot among the Top 5 brunch places in SF in my book.

Unfortunately, I left feeling like the experience simply didn't justify the hype or the price. To start with the positives, the pecan brioche sticky bun was genuinely delicious. At $8 it was hard to justify the price for the size, but the flavor was excellent. The smash potatoes were also very well done, crispy, flavorful, and easily one of the better items we ordered, even if $10 felt steep for the portion. Everything else, however, left us scratching our heads. My in laws ordered the breakfast sandwich, which starts at $17 without the sausage. Adding the sausage brought it to an astonishing $23, and honestly, it was a pretty average breakfast sandwich. We all agreed we could have walked a block over to Devil's Teeth and gotten something larger, more satisfying, and nearly half the price. We also ordered the fried mortadella sandwich, which came in at $18. It tasted fine, but at the end of the day it felt like an expensive deli sandwich that didn't do enough to justify the cost. The biggest disappointment was the Dutch pancake. At $20, we expected something memorable. Instead, it arrived overcooked around the edges while the center was an absolute runny mess. It was easily the weakest dish of the meal. The dining experience itself also felt a bit strange. We were a party of five, and were asked if we'd be willing to share our table in case another group of three came in. I understand restaurants trying to maximize seating, but it made the meal feel less comfortable than we'd hoped. The saving grace of our visit was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. They were the highlight of the experience and made us feel well taken care of despite our disappointment with the food. I can appreciate that Outerlands has built a loyal following over the years, but after this visit I just don't understand the hype. Between the inconsistent execution and the exceptionally high prices, it's difficult for me to justify coming back when there are so many other fantastic brunch spots in the Sunset offering better value.
