I stopped in on this occasion to get one of their famous chocolate malts. Their ice cream is divine. Their chocolate malt is the second best one I've ever had in my lifetime. Second only to Al's Ice Creamery in downtown Elgin, which is the old famous Burns pharmacy chocolate Malt that used to be located on Bluff City Blvd some 50+ years ago. Oberweis gets it right with just the perfect amount of malt. It comes with a cookie straw and a fair amount of whipped cream. If you've never had the pleasure of trying one of their ice cream delicacies, stop in and give them a try, you won't be disappointed with anything their on the menu.
