We love this new Michoacana in Torrance. It is such a clean and aesthetic vibe. They always have the yummiest samples available. We have visited this location multiple times since it's opening. Our go to is the churro cheesecake bites. Their strawberry Matcha is so delicious and they offer a variety of milks. The esquite with hot Cheetos was made super deliciously. Not to mention their variety of Paletas. This place is the go to for your Hispanic cravings

Secondly, the staff, including the manager, are very friendly and professional. Thirdly, the place is spotlessly clean and there's a shady patio. Finally, the food was excellent. We shared the lamb barbacoa, which is only available on weekends. It was a very generous portion of tender lamb shoulder served with an unctuous consume, silky bean puree, and other condiments. We also had some guacamole, which was tasty but needs more lime and salt.

The food here is really good. They do a very good job of not only sourcing high quality ingredients, but preparing each dish with a very nice presentation. In terms of atmosphere, this is a large restaurant. They have numerous interior tables, as well as some exterior tables, as well. They also have a very nice bar area. Their seating is all very well spaced so you never feel like you're sitting too close to any other customer. This gives you the space to feel comfortable having conversations with whomever you're with. On certain night in the evening, they actually bring in a band. Not your traditional mariachi band or anything like that. But, a band that performs some really interesting takes on both traditional and modern Latin music. The staff here are all super nice. They're happy to help you out with whatever you need. And, they do a really good job doing their job. One thing to know about this restaurant is that they're currently offering Sunday brunch beginning at 9:00 AM. I know the sign outside says that the brunch doesn't begin till 11:00 AM. But, don't let that fool you. They actually are opening at 9:00 AM. Meaning, you can come in here on Sunday morning and have a really great breakfast. Overall, if you're in the Old Torrance area, and you want to have some great Latin inspired food, this may be your place to go.

Everything tasted incredibly fresh and perfectly seasoned. We ordered the carne asada and carnitas, and both were amazing. The meat was tender, flavorful, and not fatty at all just perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. My daughter had the bean and cheese burrito with rice and beans and loved it too. They bring out three different salsas with the chips, and each one had its own unique flavor. You can tell the chips are house-made because they're fresh, crisp, and just really good. Some Mexican restaurants can make things overly salty, but everything here tasted balanced and fresh. I also had a Paloma and it was made perfectly. Before we left we decided to try the churros and I'm so glad we did. They were filled with this amazing cream and came with a caramel sauce for dipping. I'm not usually a big dessert person, but these were seriously incredible. Great location, great service, amazing food, and everything tasted fresh and well made. We will definitely be back!

Got the fajitas that came with shrimp, chicken and beef and flour tortilla. It's a bit expensive but comes with a lot of food that you can split with 2 people. Also includes chips with small guac/salsa. As for the food itself, the chicken was a bit dry. Didn't really like the flavor of the shrimp. The beef, veggies and rice were good. The salsa and guac didn't have much flavor. Might need to come back and try something different next time.

We asked for water twice. He took our order for drinks. I ordered a mango margarita and my daughter (28 years old) wanted the same on the rocks. Unfortunately, she didn't bring her ID as we hadn't really planned on dining out. He refused to serve her. Ok no problem. However, my drink didn't have any alcohol at all. (I'm well over 21 years old). Told the waiter my drink was without alcohol and my daughter's drink was blended, not on the rocks! Waiter came back with a jigger of tequila. Finally got our water. We ordered the birria tacos, 3 beef tacos and a burrito. it did not have the consume dip that is supposed to come with it ( had to request from the waiter) & the whole entire taco shell fell apart. The portions were quite small and the prices have surely gone up for the amount of food on the plate. The burrito wasn't bad. Service wasn't great. Waiter never refilled our water glasses. He kept pushing dessert when we weren't even finished with our meal. Ambiance is typical of most Mexican style restaurants. Sorry, but we will not be going back to El Torito.

I've been here before, and the birria tacos were exactly what I needed for a late-night craving. Crispy on the outside with a good amount of filling and strong flavor - they really hit the spot. I ended up having four of them. The consomé on the side was really good too - rich and flavorful, almost something I could've just had on its own. The street tacos were solid. The carnitas had that tender, slightly crisp texture, and the al pastor added a bit more seasoning and contrast. Nothing overcomplicated, just straightforward and satisfying. Service was friendly, and the setup is quick and casual. In the South Bay where places tend to close early, it was nice that they were open until around 10pm. Overall, this is a no-frills taco spot where the focus is on the food. Easy choice when you're in the mood for tacos.

The tacos were definitely sizable and we weren't able to finish our share plate. Good flavor loved the freshly fried fish steak crispy even with a huge mound of guacamole on top. The Carnitas had a cinnamon flavor which I've never had anywhere else before, but I surprisingly liked it. Must try our Max's Margs. And my daughter said the best Shirley Temple's she's ever had.
