The good: I've wanted to try this place ever since I saw the "now open" sign outside (which my husband said has been there for months). I got mazapan (Mexican peanut candy) and Ferrero rocher ice cream in a medium for around $7 & a banana cinnamon agua Fresca. Total for everything was around $12. The interior is clean with a lot of tables for two. There are tons of paleta and ice cream options. The interior is fun and colorful. They also have savory foods like nachos, tostilocos, and elote. The mazapan ice cream was my favorite. The texture was chewy and soft. I'll definitely come back and try more flavors. They had so many cool tropical flavors and Mexican-treat flavors. The bad: There was a homeless lady sleeping outside. There's no outdoor seating areas. The ferrero rocher wasn't as chocolatey or hazelnutty as others I've had but more milky. It was still good though. The interesting: The worker doesn't speak English so I google translated some of the flavors myself.

Bad strawberry milk drink, over priced, tasted like wastered down. The guy doesn't know what he is making. He keep insisting on his drinks are made fresh fruits, but it's not like other stores. And he charges $2 extra per drink. Not recommended. Do not come here.

Great place to get your antojitos mexicanos. They have paletas de agua y leche (water and milk based popsicles). Unique Ice Cream flavors such as arroz con leche y gancito. They sell mangoneadas, bionicos y jugos naturales.

$4 Freezes, yes please!…read more I've frequented Bruster's Real Ice Cream a few times for their ice cream but it was the first time recently that I tried their freezes. The freeze consist of 4 scoops of their sherbet, sorbet or Italian ice along with a whole bottle of Sprite. Once in a while, Brusters will have special nights when they do $4 freezes and this was exactly how i got to try my first freeze. The freezes are quite the deal and treat for the summer. They are so refreshing and tasty. I chose to get a peach freeze and enjoyed it a lot. My friend got a black raspberry freeze and this was also quite tasty. For four scoops of a sherbet, a freeze is definitely a treat and an indulgence! I think I may have found my new favorite treat at Brusters.

There was a new flavor called pineapple upside down cake that had caught my eye so I handed him my credit card and told him to hook up the household. It's nice that you get credit toward future purchase discounts which are appreciated. I ordered a large that comes with 4 scoops. Besides the new item, I added cherry vanilla, rocky road, and butter pecan. Guess I was feeling a bit nutty. The pineapple was a little too cakey for me but I'm glad I tried it. Variety is the spice of life right? Hadn't had butter pecan in ages so that was a walk down memory lane. A Bruster's day is always a good day. Love my ice cream.

The staff was incredibly sweet and welcoming, which always makes a meal that much better. To start, we shared the coconut shrimp and the crack fries, and wow... the crack fries absolutely lived up to their name. They were dangerously addictive. Crispy, flavorful, and impossible to stop eating. We kept reaching for "just one more" until the basket was empty. The coconut shrimp was also fantastic and a perfect starter to share. For entrees, my parents split the vegan Korean glass noodles and absolutely loved them. They were packed with flavor and surprisingly hearty. I ordered the Korean breakfast, which was my favorite dish of the meal. I'm a huge bulgogi fan, and everything on the plate was savory, flavorful, and satisfying. My sister-in-law got the kimchi fried rice, which was also delicious, and my brother ordered the Filipino breakfast burrito. It was good, but compared to everything else we tried, it wasn't the standout dish for our group. My only real complaint was that it was pretty warm inside the restaurant. The AC didn't seem to be running, and there was only one small window open, so it got a little uncomfortable during brunch. That said, the food, service, and overall atmosphere more than made up for it. We all left happy, and the ultimate seal of approval came from my mom, who said she'd happily come back. Considering she usually hates eating out, that's probably the highest compliment a restaurant can get.

Ie. banana turon or ube pancakes, Filipino inspired burrito with longanisa. I chose the bulgogi plate and asked for no white rice and was offered fruit or salad in lieu of. Tasty bulgogi w/a small egg on top yet the portions are very modest. In the middle of my meal, I ordered one more item- the krak fries which were very garlicky. They go for the presentation with the floral and greens to jazz up the look. Hubby's dish was straight ahead- Bulgogi cheesesteak and fries. Also modest in portions. Iced decaf Americano in a plastic cup and OJ in a plastic cup. Kinda odd considering their price points. Some beverages are in mugs. This was more like a 2.75 stars rounded up to 3.

When scanning the shops for a caffeination boost, I couldn't stop thinking about the "Over Caffeinated Cold Brew Float" I saw advertised at Moom Maam. So intriguing! I circled back and ordered the indulgent morning treat, slightly skeptical of such a mix. I'm happy to report though that yes, it was a monstrosity to have first thing in the morning but I'd do it again in a second. You get to pick what flavor gelato is in the coffee and I went with chocolate to which they replied, great choice! I agree, it was such a good mix with the cold coffee brew. The gelato was so creamy with amazing flavor, I can't wait to come back and try more off their menu!

Luckily this was one of the stands that had good reviews, so I gave it a shot. Between the language barrier and my excitement for dessert, I somehow ended up ordering more than I planned. The ice cream was good and the Asian-inspired flavors were definitely different from the usual. It didn't completely blow my socks off, but it was a solid treat. I kept thinking a little syrup or extra topping would've taken it up another level. Overall, glad I tried it. Half the fun of these food events is randomly discovering stuff you normally wouldn't eat anyway. I'd probably check out their Torrance brick-and-mortar location sometime and give them another shot.

They sell coffee beans from Danesi Caffe. *** Breakfast panini (Scrambled egg, fontina cheese, tomato a avocado - $10.95): A healthy-tasting sandwich, but it probably needed more sauce to add flavor. Bread was good. Rustico (RUSTICO: 24-month aged prosciutto di Parma smoked scamorza cheese, arugula, & white truffle extra virgin olive oil - $11.95): A solid sandwich, but it definitely lacked the "it" factor. *** A solid local cafe for anyone looking for a healthy Italian panini.
