My friend and I both liked the flavors we got - pistachio and guanabana. I came in and I was with my mom we waited in the line and it was just us there was no one behind us. Then a big family came in (around 7 people) and a middle aged Mexican employee went up to them and asked them what they wanted to order. I said "hey sorry but we were here first in line". The employee ignored what I said and said he was going to help them 1st . And the family said that it was fine for him to help us first. I was so confused that he didn't want to help us ?! They let you sample the ice cream and we all had to go with the Mango Chamoy. It was the perfect refreshing treat on a humid night. They are about $2.50 each and they are a bit too sweet, it tastes like a large concentration of it is sugar water, but you still get really nice bits of the fruit and it taste quite excellent. I tried a bit of the mango sherbet and that was a bit of a miss. The ice cream flavors also were unique and tasty but their quality felt quite a bit lacking. Aside from that, La Michocana on First st. and Main is clean, convenient and delicious. I tried the frozen banana on a stick and thought it was good. I also tried the strawberry ice which is not of gelato consistency but it's better. My friend ordered the Snickers ice cream and that is hands down the best Snickers flavored anything I have had ever. I'd definitely recommend that to start. I've had the tequila flavored ice cream with almonds and it's good, but I'd choose Snickers over that also. read more

Worst customer service. My husband and I came in around 9pm on a Friday. The two employees working looked that they hated their jobs and didn't want to be there. We didn't even get a welcome or a hello. My husband decided to get a cup of fruit. The first thing I notice was that the girl helping him used the same spoon to grab the different type of fruits he was asking for. I don't know about you, but to me that's cross contamination. You never know if someone is allergic to a fruit and the spoon was used before to grab that specific fruit you are allergic to. I decided to get a mango cup with chile. On their menu, the mango cup with chile is about $5. The guy ended up charging us more than $10 because the girl served it in a bigger cup that I did not ask for. Also, when the girl was preparing my mango cup, I asked her to add chamoy and Tajín. She ended up adding Valentina too and I didn't notice until I was in the car. And to top it off, the mango was hard. Did not enjoy my mango cup. Lastly, the girls hair was messy. Shouldn't they be wearing hairnets to prevent hair from falling into the fruits/ice cream?! Its milk based so be prepared for the deep indulgence of flavors. The caramel flavor its settled, and then the cookies! Deliciously sweet with chunks of cookies everywhere! I was also sampled the mazapan cream ice cream. Personally its vanilla flavor was more empowering than the actual peanut powder original flavor. I do admit some things seem overpriced, BUT the selection of ice creams and savory snacks, and fruit combinations are bountiful. I had the gansito icecream on a waffle cone and immediately got transported back to my childhood of enjoying the gansito as a treat (the Mexican version of a twinkie, but better!). My family came here on Mother's day and they were blasting the Mexican hits and we all enjoyed our orders from the mongoniada, to icecreams in a cup.
