Strawberry Matcha and Cold Brew with Pistachio Cold Foam
    Joyce L.

A friend brought us through Santa Ana and we made a stop here. HHC has a nice and relaxing atmosphere. We ordered the strawberry matcha (delish) and the cold brew with pistachio cold foam (delish). You can go outside and enjoy your drink in the cute courtyard canopied by the trees. Give this place a try!

Located a couple blocks from downtown sits a cute little coffee shop with baked goods and fantastic drip coffee. I definitely recommend the bagel bomb . They also sell merch and beans Togo !!! The only reason giving 4 stars was parking they I couldn't find street parking so parked in the lot and had to pay .

Hidden house cafe is located exactly like it's called in a hidden location lol, jk it's not that bad but still, it kind of reminds me of a speak easy entrance. Anyway, either way, super cool spot, coffee is nice and strong and the matcha delicious. Service is good, could be better but not terrible. The location and beautiful outdoor seating area makes up for any lack of anything. Our friend from out of town loved it!

This place is a vibe! Very cute inside and outside. Parking is free at the lot next door, as long as you park in the spots that say "HHC.". All the baristas were friendly and patient, as it was our first time here and were a little undecided. I ordered and egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant, delicious. The croissant was perfectly toasted, buttery and flaky. I also ordered an iced pistachio latte, came with cold foam, again delicious. Not overly sweet, good flavor. We sat outside and the patio area is very spacious, has music playing but not blasting which was nice. Cute outdoor area with plenty of seating and tables. We'll be back here for sure!

Such a cute little coffee shop! Great service and the drinks were really good! Not too sweet and didn't even have to ask for less sugar.

Oh how I've missed you! It's been awhile since I've been here due to not working in the area anymore. Just as good as I remebered. Delicious! I ordered a black hot coffee, almond croissant, a brown sugar maple latte. The latte was Perfectly blended coffee with slightly sweet flavoring which was not overpowering. Paired it with a bagel bomb! The croissant was delicious as well. Highly recommend. Service was excellent and the vibe was chill on this early Saturdaymor kind. The place is cute with indoor and outdoor seating. If you're looking for a comfortable and hip coffee shop, it's his is it! I lived closer, I'd be a regular, again!

This is a really cool coffee house to visit even just to get a few cool photo shots. Ambiance is an industrial type but nicely decorated. Service is great, they took our order super fast even though that they were quite busy. This place has your basic coffees plus some specialty drinks and quite a few different Matcha options like with Pistachio Cold Foam. Unfortunately I couldn't try the Matchas variety with cold foams since they were not dairy free. We ordered a regular Iced Ceremonial Matcha with almond milk and a Cortado with almond milk. Matcha was nicely done and the cortado was excellent, like a cortado should be. They did offer some pastries, but we didn't try one.

Got two pastries a cinnamon roll and chocolate twist. And two drinks a strawberry matcha and iced coffee with a vanilla foam. Chocolate twist was delicious would recommend. Cinnamon roll was not good very hard, tasted weird. Matcha was more milk than matcha, wouldn't recommend. Coffee was good, vanilla foam tasted like milk foam no vanilla flavor. Okay service, it was busy so I'm sure they were over it. A lot of seating. Spent $30 on four items the two drinks and two pastries. Good prices, I just didn't enjoy most of what I ordered. I wouldn't come back. Vibes are off.

I've been on a kick trying out different coffee shops around my work, and today I stumbled across Hidden House coffee. They have a spacious interior with ample free parking in the adjacent lot. I ordered the dirty chai latte, which was nicely spiced and sweet with that good kick of espresso. I'll definitely be back!

This place is okay. It's convenient because of their location. I love their almond croissants. Their drinks are nothing special. I hate that they don't have a website with their menu items. I took a picture of it today so we can all have a recent menu .

Hidden House Coffee is such a cute spot. I love that there is a whole parking lot which is rare to find in downtown Santa Ana. I've come here at 7am on a weekday, 4pm on a weekend, and the vibes and friendliness of the staff has always been consistent. I love trying unqiue seasonal drinks but I also ask a lot of questions in case I dont like them... and the staff always explained the drinks to me without making me feel bad for interrupting them! Ive tried many drinks here, their pour over was so smooth and came in a fancy bottle, and their strawberry matcha was sooo much better than any other strawberry matcha I've had and it turned out they make their syrup in house! I love coming here on the weekend to study in the patio and it feels like a mini nature getaway. I'm always looking forward to coming!

I've been going to Hidden House since they first opened. It remains my top favorite cafe in OC to work, study, or just grab a drink. I've also visited their cute wooden cabin location in SJC. This Santa Ana spot is a gem, tucked away in a neighborhood, an old brick warehouse, with a parking lot conveniently located right next to it. There's just something magical about Hidden House...not just the amazing drinks (smooth coffee), house-made pastries, and the aroma of freshly roasted beans but also the vibe. It truly helps me focus and get into the zone for studying/working. I can honestly sit here for hours and be productive. Everyone is always super friendly and helpful. The place is always clean, and you'll often see regular local customers. You honestly can't go wrong with any of the drinks here (especially their seasonal...and we all know their strawberry puree, pumpkin foams..etc are always freshly made in house). My personal favorites are the espresso tonic, pistachio cold brew, and just a standard classic latte. Their house-made pastries are also a must! They have one of the best banana cakes and they'll even heat it up for you. Lately, I've been struggling to focus while studying for a certification exam, so I've been coming here every weekend to stay motivated with a drink and a slice of warm banana cake. I'm not usually someone who stays at cafes for hours but Hidden House is that kind of place. The vibe is just right and the drinks make you want to slowly savor the moment. Truly thankful for this place! and for all the friendly staff and the amazing baker!

Nice cafe ! Strawberry scone was very tasty more like a cake than traditional scone but delicious nonetheless AND sizable portion. Drinks were perfect temp and taste. Seating is a little hit or miss nice they have lots of tables but not quite enough and wooden blocks for sitting aren't great really comfortable. Most people at tables were there for long haul, settled in with computers and such but it's great if you need a place to get out to do work esp with the rain but doesn't leave many options for others coming for coffee and a chat.

    Yes

    Yes

Are they open for dine in currently?

Do they have any gluten free snack or food options?

Does anyone know if there are gluten free items as of October 2023?

    What's the parking like?

For the SA location, there is street parking but on Sunday mornings.... good luck with the church across the street. There's a big parking lot right next door and the first 5 spots up front on each side for a total of 10 spots are reserved for HHC…

    Is there WiFi?

Yes, I vaguely recall the WiFi password being written on a cute little sign by the barista...

Is it a good secretive date place?

Sure, Great place to take your girlfriend without your wife knowing. 🤣

Are there a lot of outlets available?

Not a lot but some ! theres a big community table that most people using laptops sit at

Does their menu have the caloric intake written?

No. The menu is very minimal, carved in wood. No calories posted.

Don't know for sure, but its a huge wall open to the inside of the shop---real easy for the smoke to just blow in so I would guess not.

    IDK. Coffee

Are dogs allowed in the outdoor patio?

Yes, I've brought my big dogs many times

Do you guys any type of bulletproof coffee?

No, Hidden House doesn't make any type of bulletproof coffee.

Unfortunately, this visit was one disappointment after another. We arrived at 8:30 a.m. hoping for a peaceful coffee-and-breakfast morning. Instead, we accidentally wandered into what felt like a Janis Joplin tribute concert. The music was blasting at nightclub volume--not exactly the relaxing start to the day we had in mind. But surprisingly... that wasn't even the worst part. The food was incredibly disappointing. I ordered the breakfast burrito, and the potatoes were still raw--hard enough to remind me they were once part of the ground.. My husband ordered the French toast, which looked suspiciously like it took a quick detour from Trader Joe's frozen aisle before landing on our table. There's nothing wrong with frozen French toast... unless you're charging $14 and calling it brunch. Another friend ordered the granola with berries. After a few bites, he gave it a skeptical look, pushed the bowl away, and decided breakfast simply wasn't worth the gamble. The coffee was decent , but honestly wasn't worth fighting the neighbors for a parking spot!

The cafe itself is on the smaller side, with only a handful of tables indoors, so it's probably not the best spot if you're looking to camp out and work for a few hours. There are also a few tables outside for additional seating. The cafe is connected to a small market that sells specialty items and fun merchandise like tote bags, giving the space a unique charm. As for the drinks, I really enjoyed the iced mocha, it was rich and satisfying. The vanilla latte was good, but I was hoping for a little more vanilla flavor. The place used to feel more spruced up, and while the decor is mostly the same, it now seems a bit dilapidated. The restrooms aren't very clean, and there's a whole area toward the back that just looks sad. I can't really fault them for that part, because it might be due to renting or zoning issues as it seems like an unused shared space that just looks unkempt. They also have a wide variety of baklava and fresh knafeh right there ready to cut, which is a sweet cheese dessert with a fun kataifi crunch. The gentleman who helped me was very kind, though there was a slight language barrier. He let me try a bunch of nuts when I inquired - and I sort of had to, since several varieties were unlabeled, or just had a sign for what they were, or what the flavor was, but not vice versa. The nuts were good and seemed like a good and healthy snack to bring into a theme park or to have at home. I thought the flavors I tried were hard to distinguish from another after a while, and subtle. I had the fresh Dubai chocolate and thought it was pretty nice, distinctly bitter, nutty, moist, with tons of fresh kataifi crunch. You do have to keep it refrigerated though, as I assume it's made with ingredients that wouldn't hold well together at room temperature - typically a better sign in terms of paleo diets if you've ever made paleo chocolates for yourself. It's a bit atypical from other Dubai chocolate as the filling quantity here is uniquely generous. It's very rare to see a cute, almost timeless shop like this, containing lots of traditional and authentic goods. Would enjoy revisiting to try their coffee and the nearby food.

Inside the cafe is a dream, you definitely will feel like you are a part of the show as so much happens behind the counter. It isn't too loud for a date or to study, and there is plenty of space for even a solo night out. My go to here will always be the coffee shakes. These are hands down what separates Kean from anything else! I prefer the dark chocolate but honestly I don't know how they perfected this drink. The boba straw is appreciated as the drink is THICK. Give Kean coffee a try, and I promise you this will be on your list of cafes to visit on the regular.
