The guy comes back and starts talking about strawberry. Before that, he was talking to another group about strawberry too! What?! No one said strawberry but he really wanted to make strawberry I guess? I wanted to try the Nutella one and the vanilla one, that's why I ordered what I did. It turns out they don't do half and half, they just mix the flavors together. That's so disappointing, and a waste of money, but they don't tell you that till after you get your ice cream. The chocolate tastes nothing like American chocolate ice cream, the contrast is sharp when you take your first spoonful. Their white chocolate is the only ice cream I've ever tasted that actually tastes like white chocolate. My sister's favorite is the banana fudge, and you can't get her near any other banana ice cream. My absolute favorite, though, is the burnt sugar. Darkly sweet, nuanced, with just the slightest bitterness. Whenever I'm at a Francesca's, it's the first thing I check for on the dessert menu. If I don't see it, I ask just to make sure.
