We asked for ketchup and never got it. We also asked for a refill and when the waitress came back with the drink she slammed it on the table HARD and walked away. AWFUL! The service was decent, my cappuccino was warm and beautiful, and my Latin Eggs Benedict was BOMB! I love that their side of fruit is not just cantaloupe...It was all amazing! Being a local in the Central Valley how is it possible that I have NEVER heard of this place?? I have tried many different restaurants around the area, and yet, this place slipped off my list. Regardless, I have finally dined here and I must say..... it was a memorable experience. La Mo Cafe is a Latin Bistro that combines a fusion of Mexican flavors along with your typical American cuisine. As a theme of breakfast/brunch they also serves various cocktails and special espresso beverages! Not only do they have their restaurant, but they also have their coffee shop right next over! Along with their beautiful, spacious outdoor seating, I can understand why this is a local favorite! This place has just recently reopened after the State has allowed dine-in to take place under special guidelines and rules to follow. All the workers are seen wearing masks and before you are sit down, it is required for all party members to wash their hands. I am glad to see that they are following state guidelines during these unprecedented times in order to prevent the spread of diseases and illnesses. We were sat immediately after. Now, this is where the excitement begins! Their menu is fairly simple and not too overwhelming. As a newbie I can see they are gearing towards the healthy route, yet still able to encompass the Latin and American cuisine. I asked our nice waitress what the most popular item would be. Long and behold, she recommended to try the wedding sauce. Therefore, I ordered the Latin Benedict! As for my coworker she ordered her usual Sourdough French a Toast. Oh my..... the portions are huge!!! Everything came out quickly and I was astounded by the portion size. Make sure to come here on an empty stomach folks! My Latin Benedict is encompassed with a roll on the bottom topped with greens, poached eggs, bacon, and their wedding sauce and cheese to top it off. As for my side I went along with the roasted potatoes. Everything tasted fantastic and was cooked to perfection! The wedding sauce was good as well, however, being lactose intolerant, I didn't realize how creamy the sauce would be!! This was totally my mistake for not realizing on the menu beforehand otherwise, I would have asked for less sauce. The potatoes were also on the room temperature side, but still tasty nonetheless. The prices are very fair and the service was amazing. My coworker and I were treated with respect and as important customers which you don't always get at other places. Food and Drinks from cafe are good but service is terrible. When ordering girl had a bad attitude and kept rolling her eyes. Waited 20 minutes for a breakfast bagel. Asked politely if she could cut it and apologized for the extra hassle. When it came out she threw it on the counter, didnt call our name and missing more than half the ingredients. Looked super unappetizing. Went to see if they could fix it and the girls had a bad attitude asking what was wrong with and when showed to her that it had only lettuce and a tomato on one side and the other half had the egg at the bottom of the to go box she rolled her eyes and took it didnt apologize or seem understanding . This place might actually be the most overrated place I've ever been to. This place is purely for women to take pictures to post on instagram to say they went to La Mo. That is literally it. The food is decent at best. I got the chicken and waffles. Yes, plural, waffles. There was 1 waffle. It tasted ok at best. The coffee tasted worse than anything I could get at Starbucks. The ambiance is nice and quiet and that's about the only thing it's got going for it. The service sucks. Waitresses are all snobs and rude. If you live your life through social media then this is the place for you, if you just want good breakfast and good coffee then I do not recommend. read more

Turlock is lucky to have this wonderful Mexican restaurant. It is fabulous. I had the Friday special of Pozole Verde. Big pieces of tender pork perfectly seasoned in a perfect broth. Served with radishes, cabbage. It was so good one person took 2 orders home. Wish I had too. The jicama salad was excellent. The special persimmon salad was so big I brought have of it home. This Mexican restaurant is fine. The autumn salad was fresh and delicious. A large bed of butter lettuce topped with apples, persimmon and pomegranate. The added grilled chicken was flavorful and juicy. The sopitos were very good. Good balance with cabbage slaw on top. Great service and latte was good! We will come back. Kid's review of enchilada: The enchiladas were ok, but they totally skimped on the chicken!!! Just one small cut of chicken, and it wasn't very flavorful. Was visiting from out of town. This seems to be located in a predominantly white area (which isn't a surprise such Turlock is 72% white). The ambiance is cute and the waitresses are attentive (thank you to the two servers I had who did make sure I was taken care of). I ordered the Latin Benedict and the La Lechada. Coffee was good but food was alright. I did notice that there was a lady who seemed to be the owner who was rude when I was leaving. I always like the chilaquiles they're super good but yesterday I decided to try the asada torta and I couldn't even cut the meat with a real knife that I asked for because of all the tendon it had it was disgusting I could t eat it but thankfully I was able to change it at no charge. Then I asked for a side of fried jalapeño and although the waitress said there was an extra charge I did not expect to pay $7 for 1 tasteless jalapeño. What made this experience one to remember? The customer service! I went to the coffee shop then the restaurant. When arriving to the coffee shop I was greeted with an amazing aroma of coffee beans and pastries that were placed out front. the place was filled with people yet not too crowded, they got everyones orders out quite fast. The coffee shop and restaurant both seem to have some hispanic influence which is amazing! I love to see businesses take influence from other places and bringing them here. I got a hot latte, macarons, and a beautifully presented personal banana bread! All were good. It took me about 4 minutes to realize that the restaurant was just further down past the cafe. I believe I ran into the owner herself and she was very welcoming as it was our first time! She made sure we were seated within 15 minutes as the restaurant tends to get pretty busy for lunch time. One thing I noticed is that all the employees seemed very happy to be there and everyone was very kind and welcoming. I would definitely be a regular if I wasn't so far away! The service was amazing but the food wasn't the greatest. My friend and I ordered chilaquiles and it was literally just tortilla chips with a little bit of salsa poured on top. Not good. Very disappointed in that especially since it's one of the expensive breakfast dishes on the menu. Definitely not authentic at all. The place is very cute. I love that they are eco friendly and minimal waste and use recycled items. The food was good. We got full after appetizers. I had the enchiladas en casuela. They had butternut squash and lots of flavorful veggies. My husband had the wedding burrito he enjoyed it. The place gets pretty full. Seating is both indoors and outdoors. They have non dairy options which is amazing for their coffees. There is a cute bar area as well. I saw veggies options for vegetarians. Not sure if there were vegan options. They had sweet potato fries that were cold but we still ate them. I didn't like that they come up as a brunch spot when you search yelp and do not offer breakfast at 11 . My boyfriend took me to La Mo (Feb 14th) because it was my birthday. I usually enjoy eating here so I'm a bit disappointed that I have to write this review. Firstly, It took really long to get our coffee. We ordered a couple starters and both ordered the chilaquiles. It took an hour to get our food . The people they sat next to us got their food before we did and by the time we got our food it was cold. Our server walked past us many times and didn't think to check on our food or us. I really enjoyed eating here the previous couple times but I'm sad I had this experience on my birthday. We spent a lot of money and weren't really treated well. read more

My breakfast (dos huevos) was good, could have been better if it was all served hot. The bacon was burnt not crispy and the the potatoes were on the cooler than hot or even warm side. The cheese enchilada although expensive were good. It was loaded with lettuce, avocado and sour cream. The downsides, the hair in the food was a total gross out and let down. The vegetable scramble had very little vegetables and the hair in the food was no bueno. The service was very slow so slow I thought they forgot about us. I'm torn between 2-3 stars. The food wasn't the best I've ever had, but wasn't the worst with the exception of the hair. The best part of the meal was the pancakes and enchiladas. But again not so much so that I have to come back. I'll give this a 2 for service and it would have been a 3 for food had the hair not been there and had they served homemade tortillas. read more

First off, the outside patio is gorgeous and perfect for a spring or summer brunch with friends. I come here about once every couple months and I receive great service every time. I always get an alcoholic drink because they're so tasty! Food is fresh, delicious and light. Can't wait for my summer vacation I'll be there more often. A fluffy rolly with bacon, poached eggs and an incredible creamy and flavorful wedding sauce! These are the types of flavors you don't forget! My friend ordered the Chilaquiles with potatoes and chorizo which of course I had to try and also very delicious! Perfectly crispy chips in wedding sauce with cotija covered in a blanket of eggs over easy cuddled up along chorizo and roasted potatoes! Is your mouth watering? It should be!
