Located in the gothic quarter, near the Jaume & Liceu metro stations, it's a small, yet clean restaurant with a spanish menu. Of course it's aimed for tourists, I have read to avoid restaurants around this area, but t was fine and all the restaurants seem the same since there are so many. Service was good and they speak English well.
What drew me in was that there is a vegetarian paella on the menu of the day. You are able to order from the main menu, which was quite large, or from the menu of the day, which is like a set list of options for 10.95 per person. You choose 3 tapas and either a paella or pizza or baked fish. To be honest, this is not a bad deal, and many of the other restaurants do the same thing, so it's a matter of where you are at the moment.
For my tapas, i got the salad, papas bravas, and Spanish tortilla. These are all vegetarian options. I selected the vegetarian paella. This was my second time ever having it, and first in a restaurant. Was I impressed? It's hard to say since there's not much to compare it to, but i did enjoy it....it was hot, flavorful, and had a bunch of veggies in it (peas, cauliflower, carrot, tomato, artichoke, wide green bean).
Overall, i would recommend this place for a budget, but there are similar places with similar menus around. read more
