The lady was really sweet, but... I mean judge for yourself. I'm not sure what happened here, but I feel like if I did nails for a living I would not take pride in this.

Unfortunately, I waited a half an hour before being seated at a table to get my nails done and I had an appointment scheduled! One day post appointment I have one nail that is already chipped and one nail that had a split in it and was "repaired" at my appointment is already broken.

    Christmas nails!

Fantastic place! Always feel welcome and leave with gorgeous nails. Highly recommend!

I started coming here in November to have my lashes done. But I developed a reaction and had to…read morehave them removed. I took a break for a bit and just started back up. I can't tell you how freeing it is to not have to worry about mascara! You looked don't up even if you aren't wearing makeup! I have a busy summer planned out and I prefer to not wear much makeup in the summer months. I can go with none of I have a tan which is a great option and makes getting ready very quick! Thankfully, we are using a sensitive formula on me now and I haven't had any issues! Yay!! So lashes are expensive. I won't lie. I have paid less at other places, but the lashes were not done nearly half as well. There are three levels of lash techs that you can choose from and goes based on how full you want your lashes. A classic set can be done by a Jr tech. That's where there is a 1:1 ratio of lash to extension. This gives a very natural look and is the cheapest option. If you want a hybrid, you are getting a mix of the classic and the volume. This is what I choose. A Sr or master tech is necessary for this option. It gives a lot of volume without being totally over done. There is full volume and some other extreme lashes that require a Master tech. My eyes hurt just thinking about that! What about maintenance? We, I choose to get a full every week. Most people go every 2-3 weeks. But I'm extremely picky. The longer you go the longer it takes to fill and the more expensive. For the weekly fills, it generally takes about an hour and about $60 plus a tip. An original full set takes about 2.5 hours and is about $250. I recommend you do some research before making a decision to get lashes. This place is very clean. They wash their hands prior to touching you. And their equipment is sterilized. You do not want to get blepharitis! The salon is super cute too. They offer a variety of services here, not just extensions. They wax, they do brows. And they also offer a lift and tint for your lashes that is a very natural look. I am extremely happy with the results and works totally recommend this salon if you decide to try out the freedom of lash extensions!!

I wasn't sure if I wanted to review EWC, as its kind of personal, but I figured people could…read morebenefit from this review. I hate shaving. I tried LASER hair removal, however, my hair is fairly light. It's mostly blonde, and no one explained that LASER doesn't work on light hair. So after spending thousands on LASER, I went back to shaving. But I never felt that I got as smooth as I would have liked. We had a special get away planned, so I thought I would go ahead and get a Brazilian wax. To start, the salon is located conveniently at Partridge Creek. I frequent PC so that was appealing to me. The salon is very clean and feels upscale. There are two receptionists who are very bubbly and helpful. Your first wax is free. If it is a Brazilian, it's half off. I went here the first time pre COVID. You go back with the wax specialist and she closes the door and directs you to get undressed. Ok... They stay in the room. It was awkward but I guess they are going to get to know you pretty intimately so... Ok. They also do not give you a drape or anything. You're just like exposed. Weird. But ok. Now, people have reported that it doesn't hurt. Holy crap is that the biggest crock ever. It freaking HURTS! Like you almost scream it hurts so bad. And it takes a while. Right after this wax, COVID hit and our trip was cancelled. I was so dang mad. But to make matters worse, all the salons closed. I had heard that the second and subsequent visits do not hurt as bad. Well, because the salons closed, my next wax was so far out that I had to go through the pain of the very first wax all over again. I will say it was PAINFUL. I have since had a few more, and although it's tolerable, it is still painful. I also started getting my under arms waxed. The under arms do not hurt. I have seen complaints that they "push their products". Well, of course they do. But only the first visit. Other than that they simply ask if you need anything. I do recommend the soothing gel and the exfoliating scrub. Both stop ingrown hairs and slow the rate of hair growth. I also recommend getting a wax pass. I get the Brazilian done every 4 weeks, and my under arms every two weeks. I have a 12 visit brazilian wax pass, and an unlimited under arm wax pass. Overall, after your first visit, come and get one more wax and then make your decision to get a wax pass. It isn't cheap, but this has made my life so much easier. And I'm silky smooth and ready to go at all times. I think I will be doing this until I'm about 80. I love it!

Always looking for my go to eyebrow spot. And I think I found it!…read more Booking online was super easy and simple. I have always wanted to know what was inside that building/house especially with that gorgeous curved front door. Passed it so many times on University. Parking was easy and nice to have designated parking spots for Bare Philosophy. Walked in and had no idea that you had to take your shoes off. I get for cleanliness sake and winter bringing water/salt, but I wasn't expecting it. I walked in and noticed another patron standing inside with her socks on so I followed suit. I didn't notice behind me that they provide slides to wear after you take off your shoes. There was no staff downstairs so no one to greet me or give instructions. There was a sign that said they were short staffed and to help yourself. It was the day before Christmas Eve. Really pretty inside and welcoming. Lots of areas to look at product. There was a coffee machine. Old historical charm throughout! The other client got brought back and I just was standing around. I finally heard someone in the foyer area and was checked in at that point and brought back to a large room for my eyebrow appointment. We spoke a bit about eyebrow shape and how she likes to keep things natural/follow your natural shape. Can always take off more later if I wanted. I think my eye wax was all of five minutes. Trimming, a few strips of waxing, and then tweezing and that's it. Let me have a look in the mirror and I was happy for the most part. I should've asked to trim my eyebrows a little more. But overall content with the shape. I wish there was something to put on my skin afterwards to calm it down since I get red easily. Again, the whole process was super quick, didn't feel overly personalized with an eye brow shaping/waxing but the job got done. The staff who did my brows was very nice and we made conversation throughout my service. I felt comfortable and no pain with the waxing/tweezing. Afterwards, she checked me out and you can give a tip on a card. $20 is a fair price for an eyebrow wax, what I was paying for at another place in the area.

Those red splotches after waxes that I thought were just part of getting waxed? Nonexistent with Katie. I am genuinely convinced she is magic because I never knew a wax could be this painless before AND after! Also as a gal who has always struggled with intense ingrown hairs, ones that doctors told me could only be fixed with laser, I was stunned when Katie took the time to get all of them out and coached me on how to prevent them in the future, truly above and beyond! She's is the most thorough esthetician I've ever been to, and she creates such a warm and welcoming environment that I am actually looking forward to my next wax!
