Not an AUTHENTIC Mexican place but better than nothing. Their chorizo queso is delicious and has quite a kick!! My usually stand-bys are the taco salad and their beef quesadilla rellena. read more

They still have the best darn Margaritas and Fajita Nachos ever. Their service was fast and I didn't have to wait long to be seated. The waiter was very nice and kept our glasses full without us asking. I will be back. read more

If I could give zero stars I most definitely would. Not only do I always get attitude but I found a hair in my food. Then he wanted to say that I couldn't take it off my bill cause they made it, like I didn't get to eat. All my friends did. Then at the very end he wanted to throw a slick ass comment saying "nobody in our kitchen has brown hair" so there he is blaming one of us for the hair. Very good food at good pricing, consistent quality. They are happy to adapt an order and ideal for takeout.

Me and my family have been 6 or 7 times. The food is GREAT, but the servers are usually not very attentive. They'll usually take your order, bring the food, MAYBE check on you ONCE during the meal, then bring the check. If you ever need anything during the meal, they're pretty much nowhere to be found. I was a server for 8 years. You really should check on a table at least 2 times during the course of a meal. Or at least make yourself visible/accessible to be waived down with a "walk by". Most of the time they just disappear until it's time to drop off the check. read more

La Nopalera was not bad but nothing spectacular either. They had a hostess and she wasn't a good one. When I enter a door and see a host/hostess I expect a warm greeting which I didn't get. My waiter was nice and attentive but never gave his name. We were a party of 4 and it didn't take that long for our food to get out. I order the shrimp fajita and it was good, definitely recommended. My family order fish and steak tacos and they said their food wasn't bad either. The decor wasn't bad but I have seen some really nice Mexican restaurants before. Once again it wasn't bad but I have definitely seen better. read more

Very good food at a reasonable price, although the fajitas are often a little over cooked. This has been one of our favorite restaurants in OP. I do not recommend the Fleming Island or Oakleaf locations. read more

Pretty good just me and a lot of people I've talked to wish they wouldn't have changed the recipe of the guacamole... it is about half sour cream half guacamole... The food is very tasty and the price point is right on, but service can be a bit hit or miss. Although no one has ever been rude to me, I have had servers here who are just not super friendly. It is not something to keep me away from La Nop, but it is something I would be pleased to see change. read more

Never had a bad experience at this location. The food is always hot and delicious. The dining area is usually clean and the service is never bad here. I really love just about everything on the menu but the chicken chimichangas are my favorite and is something I frequently order whenever I visit. Many fun and forgotten nights have been had at this place the locals call La Nop. Food is pretty cheap. The food isn't 5star, but it has improved from 1 to 3 stars since my high school days. Service is always great. The margaritas... Amazing! Make sure you get the frozen pitcher. It is more potent than the margaritas they serve on ice. Excellent food! Good service. The menu is extensive, but the waiter could have been more attentive and explained the specials to us. I had a chimichanga and it was excellent. There was plenty of filling and it was nice and crispy. It was a bit weird, but the host was wearing a Tupac shirt and even some of the people on the restaurant floor were wearing their own street clothes. A little unprofessional. read more

Was very pleased with this location. It was very large on the inside, looked clean, smelled nice & our to go order was ready in no time. Good sized portions for the price. The food was unusually spicy. Not sure what they did differently but all 4 of us noticed the spice. We will be back for more yummy Mexican food :) chips & queso are always yummy. read more

Nothing special. As a Native Texan who married into a Mexican family, I have high standards for Mexican food. This place doesn't meet them.

I used to be a big fan of La Nop but once I found out that they have pre-made meals that they basically take from the freezer and pop in the oven I'm no longer a fan. I like I Fresh Mexican food not frozen. It's night and day between Frozen Mexican food and Fresh Mexican food it is not authentic period. read more

A consistently solid experience... food is good, service is prompt and this is the ONLY restaurant that ALWAYS gets our order right. We've enjoyed the pleasant attitude of the stuff, the willingness to get our orders done they way we like them, without complaint, and for keeping our ice tea topped off. I love love my la nop to go or eat in. I have been to 3 locations regularly: Kingsley Ave, San Marco, and highway 17 locations. I had an issue with a to go meal one time and it was quickly fixed. Frozen margaritas are amazing, kids love their meals, chips and queso are an addiction, and I just started eating there three vegetarian option that I've been very happy with. Great place to chill and hang out. Probably one of the most happening spots around and the San Marco location is worth going just to sight see. read more

The chips and salsa are fantastic. I ordered the 2 taco rice and beans. Aaron ordered a chimichanga. He was pretty hungry and the smaller chimichanga order was plenty enough for him. All the food was amazing. I'm really impressed. We will definitely be back. that's the first time I've ever had rice and beans where I considered taking the leftover rice and beans home they were that good. read more
