The #8 Big Burrito is what you need to order! Such a huge burrito for a great price! I got mine fully loaded with all the extra toppings and it was so worth it! As far as logistics go, be prepared to wait! It's small and extremely hot inside. The parking lot gets crowded, but again it is worth the wait. I also got some guacamole and house made tortilla chips...another great choice! I look forward to going back and trying more menu options!

I (like many) came here on the TT star "blondeswhoeat" recommendation. She said to get the "#8, big burrito" with: chorizo, eggs, potatoes, beans and extra cheese (I omitted the pico b/c I suspected there would be leftovers and that would be problematic to keep this fresh and ready to reheat. ) This thing is the size of my forearm, no exaggeration, look at my photo. I will say that the "extra cheese" was fantastic direction, it really elevated the experience. All the tortillas are freshly made and you can see 3 people working the machine to pump them out (I admit to an error in NOT grabbing a bag of tortilla chips and some fresh tortillas.) There will likely be a line if you go there at breakfast, lunch or weekend brunch hours, but it goes pretty fast, so don't be discouraged. Don't count on eating inside either because there are only a few tables and a couple of counter spots (we did score a table, but that was just luck). Be prepared to wait about 15 mins for your order to come out hot and fresh. The parking lot is a bit of a nightmare too - too small and too tight. I really want to go back and try there and try other menu items, but will be hard-pressed to deviate. This place will be on a rotation on anyone who visits and asked for a great breakfast burrito. I know my sister loves one, so when she gets here - it will be on the (eating) agenda

Absolutely delicious! La Nueva Fresh & Hot is a hidden gem in Dallas. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with love just like homemade. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, and the place has a warm, authentic vibe. I especially recommend their tacos and fresh pastries everything tastes amazing! If you're looking for real Latin flavor and great service, this is the spot. Highly recommend!

Tamales have good flavor but no filling. Would not waste my money on these tamales. But flavor was spot on

Went for the Big breakfast burrito- it was bigger than my face! Incredible flavor- I got chorizo and the potato and beans added! The green sauce was so delicious I bought a container to go. The sweet employee at the counter also kindly brought my friend and I some corn tortillas or try and I ended up buying a package of those to take home as well! Wish I lived near this place!

Have you ever had a breakfast burrito the size of a small baby? Well you can here! and for cheap! Ordered breakfast burrito with pastor, it was hot, delicious, and enormous. The jalapeño salsa was so fresh and a perfect pairing. Can't wait to be back to try the other plates.

I wanted to love La Nueva, but found my taco to be mid at best! I stopped by La Nueva for a quick bite to eat while in the area. I ordered a breakfast taco on a flour tortilla with egg, cheese, potato, and beans. I also got a side of their famous green salsa. Service was quick and the gentleman at the counter was very friendly! Overall, I found that the taco was missing a lot of flavor. The beans and potatoes could have had more salt and spice. The salsa tastes almost identical to Tacodeli's Creamy Jalapeno hot sauce, but I actually feel that Tacodeli's sauce is more complex in flavor. I did love the freshness of the tortilla and would come back to purchase a pack of those!

The food here is goood. Weekend mornings theres usually a line out the door but goes by quick. The Chicharrón and tamales de puerco are my go tos.

This hole in the wall did not disappoint... the food is delicious!!! The wait is about 15 to 20 minutes for take because the line can sometimes be insane, but the food is worth the wait. This place is a must try...

Amazing food that is worth the wait! The service is fast and everything is made fresh when ordered. If you come at peak hours prepare to wait but know they are making the tortillas fresh and everything with it from scratch. This family owned business is run with a lot of heart and GREAT food.

Since the weather has been so nice lately, outdoor seating is super popular, so I'd recommend making a reservation if you can. Highly recommend for a nice lunch or dinner during the weekend. We'll definitely be coming back again!

I've had a ton of different food items the years, but their fajitas are their signature dish for a reason! It comes out sizzling, fresh, and delicious. Do not pass up on the bone marrow sauce, it transforms the dish to beyond a 10/10! The salsas are always good and then tortilla chips salty and fresh. I start with a skinny margarita w a salt rim, which was good. Our waiter, Abraham, was great! He was very attentive and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We also order the ceviche to start, which was yummy! The crackers were a bit of an odd pairing for me and I stuck with tortilla chips, but overall delicious!! My friend ordered the steak quesadilla and thought it was tasty too.

Here in Texas, chips and salsa are such a commonplace experience it's off-putting to pay for them. We ordered the guacamole and the chips and salsa come with it, so that was, I guess, better...but the guacamole was $16, so there's that. The salsa was tasty as was the guacamole, but again, for the portion it's really not worth it. We had the queso flameado, which was yummy and the flour tortillas are good! We split the sirloin and were underwhelmed. For a grilled meats place the steak was very under seasoned and wasn't giving us fresh hot grilled vibes. Meh at best, as were the rice and beans. We ordered elote as a side and it was really the best thing we ate. Service was friendly and efficient! Cocktails average $16ish. Again, for the prices we expected better.

Chris our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time walking us through the menu and explaining what made El Carlos Elegante so special. The drinks were perfect. My wife loved her Desert Flor while I thoroughly enjoyed my Modelo Micheleda. Her Surf and Turf one hitter was exceptional. I have to say my Crab Cake was just ok. It tasted a little pasty and very heavy on the bread. The Pulpo was absolutely amazing. Perfect texture and the sauce it was served almost had me licking the plate. The El Machete was incredible from its presentation, to the freshness of the corn tortilla, to the quality of the meat inside. Definitely recommend this. We really liked our Okra + Shishito course, we just wished it had more okra in it. The two things I loved about the Al Pastor was of course the sauce it was served on but the fact that I got to enjoy it like a steak. It was served sliced on a bias like flank steak. Typically Al Pastor is finely chopped and served in tacos and burritos, so this was a different eating experience for me. And of course it was delicious as well. We cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu.

That visit checked every box -- the food, service, ambiance, and overall hospitality were all exceptional. What really stood out to me then was the attention to detail. I had casually mentioned that one of my cocktails wasn't quite my taste, and Harry personally reached out afterward to say they'd gladly adjust it next time. That kind of thoughtful follow-up leaves a lasting impression and is exactly the sort of hospitality that elevates a restaurant experience. Unfortunately, this recent visit felt like a completely different restaurant. We decided to do a combination of à la carte dishes along with the Experience menu after being told this version would feature entirely off-menu items, which genuinely intrigued us since Ihad also done the Experience previously. At the start of dinner, we were asked about allergies and dietary restrictions. I clearly explained that I have a mango allergy and do not eat beef. Our server then asked whether I ate other meats, and I clarified yes -- and even specifically mentioned that if the machete dish was beef, please still include it because my friend could enjoy it and I really wanted her to try it. He confirmed it would be the sirloin version, so we happily agreed not to modify that course. So imagine our surprise when one of the first dishes arrived dressed with a mango vinaigrette. Thankfully, we barely caught him quietly mentioning "mango" as he set it down. We immediately looked at each other thinking, "Didn't we just discuss the allergy?" It was disappointing, but unfortunately also representative of the overall service throughout the evening. Our server seemed disengaged, inattentive, and often not fully listening. Empty glasses sat untouched, opportunities to order additional items were missed, and at one point we were simply handed the check without even being asked if we wanted anything else. We also ordered a bottle of sparkling wine and ended up pouring it ourselves for most of the evening because our glasses were rarely refilled. I completely understand not leaving the bottle tableside if walkway space is limited, but repeatedly needing to get up ourselves to retrieve it felt out of sync with the level of service one expects from a Michelin-recommended restaurant -- especially at this price point. Then came the machete dish. Instead of the sirloin version we specifically discussed, we received the vegetarian potato version. When the server asked how it looked, I politely explained that we were disappointed because he had specifically told us it would be the sirloin preparation. At minimum, I would have expected another protein substitution given the earlier conversation about what I could eat. I'm also still unclear whether the Experience menu was truly "off-menu" as described, since several dishes -- including the halibut -- appeared familiar. Had that been communicated differently, we likely would have skipped the Experience altogether and simply curated our own meal. At the end of the night, spending over $500 while pouring our own wine, nearly being served an allergen we explicitly disclosed, and receiving dishes different from what was promised made for a deeply disappointing experience -- especially after such a phenomenal first visit. It honestly felt sad more than anything because I know how wonderful this restaurant can be. I'm not sure what changed in the last five months, but the difference was significant.
