When my brother first told me about the "amazing gas station tacos", I was a little skeptical to be honest. After trying them just one time, I became a HUGE fan. I typically order two Alambre tacos which contains a blend of steak and chorizo, topped with grilled bell pepper, onions, and cheese. It only took one bite for me to fall in love. Make it a dinner for around $2 more and you get an order of rice and beans on the side. The staff are amazing and are super dedicated to maintaining great taste, variety, and reasonable prices! How good could this possibly be? The answer is: fucking good. Even though it may be far from the best tacos you've ever had, they are the best tacos you've had from a gas station in all certainty. It's barely a restaurant as it has a couple tables near the pop machines. They have no drink menu so customers just get something from the gas station. It specializes in street tacos, the small ones. These are only a couple bites to eat if that. Luckily they're cheap. There's beef, chicken and vegetable. It's $2.39 each. The Vegetable Taco comes with avocados, lettuce, onions, rice, and tomatoes. It's those thin corn tortillas they need to double up on or else the fillings will soak through it. They have good hot sauce but don't put too much on or the tacos will get soggy. Holy shit it's amazing a gas station has food that's any good. It doesn't have any drinks but you can buy beer in the gas station. We tried this taco joint today for the first time. I had the alambre taco and a flauta. My wife had the chicken taco and made it a dinner to include beans and rice. To my surprise the food was excellent. The sauces are authentic and hot but flavorful. The steak in my taco was tender and appears to be a better grade. My next visit will be for a burrito. The quality of the service has gone down quite a bit. I eat there for the convenience. Placing an order in person is an absolute nightmare unless you are lucky enough to get the original employees. I ordered 2 taco meals and two separate tacos. After trying to explain to the cashier for over 10 minutes and a big screwup, I went home with one taco in each meal box and 1 separate taco.
