    Chips and salsa
    Eva S.

My husband and I grabbed lunch at Burrito Parrilla Mexicana in a week day. We were looking for something quick and hearty, and not a burger-type drive thru. We had driven past this spot and bookmarked it on our "to try" list in the neighborhood. We were so glad we finally had the chance to swing by. We dined in and ordered: 3 taco dinner* (steak, chicken, carnitas) steak burrito 2 fountain drinks *dinner = with rice and beans for a few bucks extra Their set-up inside is fast casual. Order at the counter and they will bring your food out to you. Drinks are self-serve. Our meal came with complimentary chips and house made salsa. The salsa was so good I could drink that stuff. The server also brought out 3 more bottles of salsa (salsa verde, a ghost-peppery spicy one, and a smoked chile one); I don't know the actual names of them but they were a trio of the best flavors to add to your meal. They have horchata and agua de piña (pineapple water) in these self serve clear tubs where you'd typically see iced tea, lemonade, or some sort of slushie. I had 3 full-cup refills of the pineapple water (!!!) because it was that delicious. This might also be called their piña colada drink, I am not 100% sure. It's sugary, yes, and perhaps I was extra thirsty but the drink had little bits of pineapple pulp which was so so good. It was so refreshing and I've never had a drink like it before. Order a fountain drink and get it if you're here. For my 3 taco dinner, I chose to get a chicken taco, steak taco, and a carnitas taco. You can choose your protein and steak is 50 cents extra per taco. I got the "dinner" add on with rice and beans to make it a meal, and you can choose from refried beans or black beans. Everything was tasty and the food came out quickly. If I had to say one thing that wasn't really a thing is that the lime wedges that came with my meal had no juice. It's one of those limes when you squeezed, the pulp was all for show. The limes were dry and had no juice but I didn't bother to request more limes. Their trio of salsas that come in bottles (that they'll bring to your table with your food) is all you really need imo. My husband got the burrito and we said out loud between our bites, "I can see ourselves being regulars at this place." Next time I'd love to try their tortas and guacamole. We will be back!

Fuck chipotle this is where its at. Big ass burrito. Friendly staff. Awkward stares from people. Thus place is legit. Definitely would come back.

Burrito Parrilla is one of our places to visit for a quick and hearty meal. This was our first time visiting this location though. Service was quick and everyone was friendly. It has plenty of seating inside, there is patio seating as well. The chips and salsa were soo good, always love warm tortilla chips. We got the three taco platter with grilled chicken and chicken burrito. Everything tasted great, and the salsas were great too! We enjoyed our hearty dinner

This was a delicious lunch, today I had the steak fajitas, I wish my pictures had smell and sound, you would hear the sizzling sounds of my steak, peppers and onions, and of course if you could smell this you would jump in your car and head over for a great tasting meal, you should give Burrito Parrilla a try

Steak taco, corn tortilla with cilantro and onion

Although the price seems to be getting a little high, the flavors and quality remain strong. The restaurant is consistently busy and obviously it's because of the food. Eating in allows a pregame with chips and salsa and they are wonderful and fresh....the salsa has a lot of fresh onion and cilantro and probably is why I struggle with just eating a couple chips dunked in salsa. I always get steak tacos with corn tortillas with extra cilantro and onion. The tacos come out on a plain white rectangular ceramic plate and the rice and beans are on one end and the tacos stretch across the rest of the plate. Adding the tomatillo salsa adds just the perfect amount of spice. The refried beans are smooth and flavorful. I've been here many times and they have never been dry or lumpy. The rice is also flavorful and warm. This location offers great food and the employees make it a pleasant experience. The dining area itself is starting to really show its wear and tear with the masses coming through their doors each day but that can be overlooked when you experience any of their authentic food. Hu

    Grilled Veggies Burrito

Burrito Parrilla Mexicana seems like a chain. It was new to me but it feels a lot like many other fast food Mexican places that are everywhere. One important difference is you order at the counter, but they actually bring the food to you. How nice of them, and this puts it a step above typical fast food. The prices vary but some things are pretty cheap like burritos and tacos. Get a pretty good meal from here. If hungry you can get a combo with chips, a drink, and sides. The prices quickly add up. Be sure to pay attention. There's some things that are a lot more expensive. I came in with a friend at lunch and we got burritos. They have lots as they should since it's in the name of the actual place. I had a Grilled Veggies Burrito. It's $8.99 for a pretty big one. This has black beans, red peppers, rice, yellow squash, and zucchini. It was okay. The burrito had enough vegetables but it lacked in seasoning. Has a drive thru if you're in a super big hurry. It maybe isn't good if you want accurate orders. They mess up a lot here and it just backs up the line so there's not saving a whole lot of time.

BIEN HERE BEFORE As…read morepart of the Bien Trucha restaurant family, Quiubo serves some familiar flavors in downtown Naperville. The Water St area has a great variety of restaurants including Vasili's (modern Greek), Blue Sake (sushi), SixtyFour Wine Bar and Quiubo (modern Mexican).  Technically I ate from here once - takeout during covid - but it was so long ago it might as well not count.  Most recently, my wife and I came here for dinner on a Friday in late June and sat outside. The sangria ($14) was strong, I appreciated the extra touches like apple bitters and a float of bourbon.  My wife loved the Pa'Dentro ($15), a cocktail with tequila, passion fruit, and orange liqueur.  The mango habanero margarita ($15) was also mixed perfectly.  5/5 The guacamole ($11) was fresh and flavorful: avocado, tomatillo, onion, cilantro, serrano and lime.  My wife found it a bit too spicy (diced serrano adds more heat than a traditional jalapeno) but I enjoyed it despite a small-ish portion.  4/5 We also got a queso fundido de camaron ($16): melted chihuahua cheese, red onion and pan seared shrimp, with tortillas and cilantro-serrano sauce.  Pan searing the shrimp instead of grilling them is certainly a choice....but not one I'd make again.  2/5 Esquites ($8.50), on the other hand, were awesome: grilled corn, epazote butter, lemon aioli, cotija cheese, tajin.  One of the best we've tried in a long time, but for $9 we expected a lot more elote!  5/5 The birria tacos (2 for $11) were very good; my wife was right to point out they should've come with a cup of birria juice on the side.  The tacos al pastor (2 for $10) were delicious: marinated pork with pineapple, cilantro, onion and salsa morita.  Next time, more tacos!  4.5/5 For dessert we got flan ($10), a creamy vanilla custard with caramel, rompope and cookie crumbs.  It was a denser style of flan and tasted amazing, but I don't know how I feel about that random pile of cookie dust.  4/5 Bread = 4.5 Circuses = 3.5 It took way too long for a server to come over and take our order at the beginning.  Thankfully the food came out FAST!  The bar, on the other hand, was lagging big time.  We were more than halfway finished with dinner by the time our cocktails showed up. Also important note for cheapskates like me: they do not serve free chips & salsa.  Quiubo isn't that kind of place, so if you want salsa with chips, you'll have to pay for it. * TL;DR * Rest assured you can get the same high quality tacos and cocktails from the Bien Trucha group. We were really impressed with a couple items like the esquites/elotes and al pastor tacos, as well as the atmosphere inside.  The vibes outside were solid and even though service was slow at first, we'd love to come back.  I'd recommend Quiubo for sure.
