We rushed and made it in time apologizing since they were cleaning up for the night. Turns out they had just opened a week ago, yelp only verified them the other day so it was meant to be. (Personally, I love this in a business - it makes me feel welcome). I picked out a couple of their homemade ice creams and went on my way. My husband and I thought they were amazing. After following them on Instagram, I learned they also have a somewhat "secret" menu - with food items. I have been back several times since and every time is just as good, if not better, than the last. Same warm and welcoming atmosphere. The owners are so kind. They are very aware of allergies and take the time to make sure there is little to no cross contamination. I cannot say enough great things about this place. The reason I'm giving this place five stars is for the following: 1) The service is very friendly. 2) The prices are more than reasonable. 3) The ice cream is absolutely delicious with many options and flavors, and my understanding is that it's 'homemade'. 4) Their fruit cups are outstanding and you get a lot of fresh fruit for the price. I chose it with lime, Tahin, and chamoy... so yummy. 5) Their flavored waters are delicious. When it comes to the Paletas, we tried the cookies and cream which was just OK, cotton candy which was a total disappointment, cajeta -caramel which wasn't bad at all and delicious if you like caramel, and I was going to get the strawberries and cream but was told the mangos and cream is really good and I have to say that I do not agree... I was let down by it. Basically, the Paletas are just OK and they are pretty much three stars rather than five stars for me. We are, of course, comparing them to amazing Paletas on Catalina Island in California. The coconut ice cream was super creamy, had a real fresh coconut flavor and coconut flakes. It was perfect! My boyfriend ordered the strawberry sorbet and I can honestly say it the best I've ever had. It's not sickly sweet like most sorbets and it literally tastes like frozen strawberries. They completely nailed both flavors! They make everything fresh from scratch and use real fresh fruit, not those nasty syrups like other places. Everything from the service to the dessert. Service was immediate when we walked in. My husband and I rode through on our bicycles. We didn't notice it was closing and they still served us with a smile. All desserts are prepared on site and fresh. The flavors of ice cream are delicious and unique. We had the coffee tiramisu, cotija cheese with berry sauce, and carrot cake on an ice cream waffle cone freshly made and dipped to order with nuts. Can't beat that! We missed the window for waffles because they were technically closed, but just another excuse to visit and try more!
