Not a huge deal, just a strange first impression. The star of the show was our server, Elicia. She was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to be there. She made us feel like valued guests, and she was also bartending! The drinks were a highlight. The Mojito Clarito was surprisingly clear but full of flavor, the Pepino cocktail was great, and the guava mocktail was easily my favorite. Unfortunately, the food was very inconsistent, especially for the price. The T-bone came out much rarer than the medium rare we ordered and wasn't cooked consistently. The truffle mashed potatoes were delicious, and the sea bass was the best entrée--great sauce and vegetables. The lobster tails were easily the worst dish, despite being one of the most expensive. They were oddly sweet and incredibly rubbery, like erasers. The tartare was also strangely sweet, with a sticky balsamic-like dressing and only four little chips. The oysters were disappointing as well--4 for $32 is steep, and I expected more than cheese simply warmed on top. Overall, there were some great elements, but the food lacked the consistency and execution I'd expect at this price point. Honestly, this is closer to 2.5 stars, and Elicia is the reason I'm rounding up to 3. She really made the experience.
