Save your time and money. Don't even bother! I'm all about giving places their credit but this place deserves none. I had really high hopes for this place. Came here with my cousin for our weekly dining date and it was horrible. Walk in and it's empty that should have been the first sign to leave but we had good faith. We ordered two mango margaritas and asked for Don Julio Reposado. Cute drinks, a little sweet but didn't taste an ounce of real alcohol nor a buzz. Decided to order one more since the first one didn't seem to be enough, that was a huge mistake... Food was flavorless, they didn't have any salsas. Service was slow for an empty restaurant but the real reason I am furious is how much our bill was for 4 margaritas, 2 tacos, ceviche and a seafood stew. $144!!!!!!! ($80 of it was for the 4 margaritas that tasted like nothing but margarita mix) We eat at a lot of different places all the time and this by far was one of the worst experiences and I will never come here or recommend this place to anyone. The worst feeling is to feel played especially at that price point. We could have went to so many other finer establishments with better food and service for that. Super disappointed. This place is disgusting, and it is no wonder why it was completely empty when we dined here. The food was flavorless and just thrown together like pig slop. The Molcajete Caliente had little pieces of broken mussel shells mixed in with the salsa, resulting with me leaving with a chipped tooth. The ceviche barely had any shrimp, and was basically pico de gallo. They had the nerve to charge $20 for a margarita that was purely sweet and sour and Jumex Mango-- not even a hint of tequila. I am a bartender at the airport-- we don't even charge this price for a top shelf margarita. Service was nonexistent. Steer clear of this establishment-- they will waste your time and rob you blind. The taco trucks have better mariscos. Spare yourself from the disappointment and go somewhere else. read more

Great burritos and a highly diverse menu. I drive by here all the time and smell the chicken grilling on the mesquite coals in the back. Intoxicating. I decided to stop by on a Wednesday to pick up some burritos: 2 x regular carnitas and 2 x regular carne asada. I opted to leave out the lettuce which, in my opinion, is recommend. These large, dense tubes of flavor were delicious. They don't skimp on the ingredients and the flavor balance and ratio between rice, beans, cheese, salsa, and meat was perfect. I think they also throw the whole thing on the flattop to crisp up the tortilla just before service. Perfect..... Cost was $8.49 each and noticing that they offer a special on Thursdays for the same burrito but only for $6.49, I went back the very next day and ordered it all over again! Tortilla chips are extra which is sort of a bummer but these burritos are so heavy that you really don't need any accoutrements. The restaurants's name implies that they also serve sea food dishes. The menu has a host of options including some killer looking ceviche tostadas. I want to try them eventually. My bad on not taking a picture of the actual burritos. My family set upon them like dogs and finished them before I could even think of grabbing a camera. Darn it... Why didn't I get the shrimp tostadas???? Next time.... Service was excellent. They are all very nice and the lady that runs the kitchen knows what she's doing. The restaurant is very clean and is large enough for groups. I like to support small businesses in my area and this is one that I highly recommend. The neighborhood is classic Oakland. The Hells Angles clubhouse is right down the street and it's really close to international Blvd. Oh and do yourself a favor and lock your valuables in the trunk of your car. Food was delicious, my michelada was a good size but underwhelming, we went a little late around 9pm, so it seemed as though they turned the inside into a "nightclub" so we had to be seated outside, it was a little cold and no outside heaters but luckily we were dressed warm enough. The service was meh, our waitress was very nice but we felt rushed to order and once we got our food we didn't see the waitress nearly at all. I don't know who needs to hear this, but if you see anyone with a a toddler please, please, please, just put a stack of napkins on the table. Tip for coming here order everything at once, and ask for everything you might need, (as you can see in photos, nothing on table, stayed that way even after we got our food had to wait like 10 minutes to get tableware) maybe leave kiddos at home, even though my 19 month old ate a little bit of everything off everyones plate (she thoroughly enjoyed the food). So even though food was great and our waitress was nice the service dropped it down to three stars. read more

2nd review at this location as I believe it's important to let it be known when a restaurant is THIS GOOD. In all honesty, I should review one star for my order being partially wrong but the food tastes so good I just have to give it the full 5. This time around I ordered 2 Aguachiles Verdes (requested one spicy) 2 tacos de asada (one w/ everything, one only sour cream) 1 Burrito de asada Unfortunately my tacos both showed up plain, just the meat and tortilla. Thankfully I had salsa and lime at home just dressed it up real quick and still enjoyed. As for the burrito the kids were satisfied. Now here's why I keep it at 5 stars; Aguachiles for me are hard to find the perfect plate. Some places too sour, some too much salt, some no flavor at all, and places that can't accommodate your spice level request - here that was not the case. I requested a spicy plate and normal plate mine was the perfect heat and tasted AMAZING. Also the portion is perfect for the price, definitely not skimped like a lot of places do. I had 2 grilled fish tacos and the Sangria Mexican grape soda. The tacos were delicious and quite filling. Service was sweet and friendly. There's a video screen up with ranchero music being played at a Mexican beach. The menu features many more dishes, way beyond tacos and other street food. I'll have to come here for dinner sometime. Found a hair in the carne asada molcajete; gave the fork to the waitress with the hair still intact, she took it and came back after some time. Not an apology, just a simple, "do you want another one or something else off the menu?", which leads me to believe this happens often. Also, ordered the grilled fish with shrimp, the shrimp was still "raw" had to cover it with the foil for it to turn into the pinkish color and cook, if I would've wanted aguachile or something else that involved gray looking shrimp I would've ordered that but it's not my cup of tea. My family and I didn't finish our food, not even half our meals because we were all disgusted, not to mention as we were leaving the personnel stared us down as if it they were upset that we even said anything about the hair. Although the service was great, I can't say the same for the food. I should've known going to a Mexican restaurant that I shouldn't have ordered the only Salvadorian food on the menu. The pupusas weren't great and the platanos were nowhere near ripe. I may give them another chance and go back and get some Mexican food, because it almost feels unfair. La michelada Patrona was not your average michelada it was huge me and my husband barely finished it it was not overpowered by clamato like most it was perfect. The food tasted rotten/ old/ dirty and everyone got diarrhea, lol. Literally this place is cramped, we were dropped off here for a nice meal. It was terribly hard to get waitstaff to get us a table, nobody spoke English, and then a drunk man sat down at our table and told us that we didn't belong there because the president thinks all Hispanic people are trash. He then escalated his verbal aggression and continued to verbally attack us. We could barely get out of the restaurant without a physical altercation. No restaurant staff would help or intervene. We ordered family style and tried the molcajete de mariscos, the BBQ shrimp, Chile relleno, fish tacos, enchilada, and margaritas. Everything was extremely tasty, especially the molcajete and the tacos. I thought the price was very reasonable (about $30 a person including a giant margarita and tons of seafood). We were the only people in there, so the service was pretty good. I don't know if there would be issues with timing of food coming out of the kitchen, since we ordered family style and told them to bring it whenever it was ready. I'd recommend checking this place out - it's tasty, well-priced, and it seems like a hidden gem! read more
