I can't even begin to explain how good our experience was. My wife and I are visiting from the UK, and we were brought to La Piazza Cafe by a few friends of ours. There were five of us altogether, and we made a reservation ahead of time. When we arrived at the restaurant, the place was quite busy; however, we were greeted immediately and brought to our awaiting table. We sat outside, just on the outside edge of the covered awning, were everything was lit up, and the ambiance was perfect. We felt like we were back on our travels through small towns in Italy! A moment after we sat, a dapper young man in a fedora waltzed up to the table and introduced himself as Beau, our waiter. He was friendly, knowledgeable and more than accommodating. He went over the evening's specials for us- which were close to twenty- by MEMORY!! We were all amazed, but this was just the beginning of our fantastic experience. He recommended a wine to us, a Pinot Noir called Las Alturas Belle Glos- he later wrote down the name for us- and we went with it. The wine was stunning and sophisticated, and the price was fantastic. When it came time to ordering, we were a bit indecisive, but Beau guided us effortlessly. He noticed that a few of us were caught up on deciding between a few of the specials, two of which had lobster in them, when he offered us a third option that hadn't been listed. He offered us grilled Twin Lobster Tails served with rissotto and vegetables, complete with drawn butter. Three of us jumped at the offer, and boy are we glad we did. The lobster came out PERFECT! We ordered a second bottle of wine and enjoyed it thoroughly with dinner. By the time the end of the meal came we were all much too full to order dessert, but Beau insisted we try one, and he bought us a creme brulee! Our waiter bought US dessert! As the night ended, we were almost sad to go. But we vowed to return, which we have now twice. Once for lunch, and once more for dinner. Lunch was spectacular, and dinner was phenomenal the second time- although we didn't have Beau again. My wife and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND La Piazza Cafe to anyone lucky enough to come across it. And be sure to ask for Beau! He'll make sure everything is perfect, just as he did for us! read more

We just had one of the best meals of our vacation in St. Augustine, FL. It was late, almost 9:30 pm, and most restaurants were closing, however, we decided to try La Piazza Cafe in Palm Coast's European Village. We had heard about it earlier from someone we met on the beach, and I'm so glad we decided to check it out! The food, ambience (very cool light up menus that made them very easy to read) and terrific staff were all top notch. We were very fortunate to have a great waiter named Beau, who knew all the specials by heart and described them in a way that made them all sound delicious. We ended up ordering one of the specials, some type of ziti-like combo with meatballs,sausage, and chicken that was superb! We also ordered the shrimp Alfredo that was equally delicious. La Piazza Cafe has very large portions at a reasonable price. Mouth watering bread and oil balsamic dip along with salads were a perfect start. The food is well seasoned and well presented. We finished off this amazing meal by ordering 3 different desserts as they all looked amazing, and they tasted just as good as they looked! We had creme brûlée , which Beau did a very good job at blow torching to a perfect golden crunch, along with cannolis, and a to-die-for tiramisu mouse parfait with chocolate covered lady fingers! If you are looking for a great Italian restaurant that is unique and not a cookie-cutter franchise, La Piazza Cafe is the perfect choice! A delicious dinner at a place we never knew about! We overheard a conversation from another couple during lunch. They were talking about a restaurant that they claimed was the best in town. We proceeded to ask where it was, and they told us about La Piazza Cafe. We called up and made reservations for that very evening. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted by an older gentleman with a warm smile. He immediately took us to our table, which was in a nice quiet corner outside under their canopy. A moment later, a young man in a bow tie came to the table and introduced himself as our waiter. His name was Beau, and he was on his game. He was quick, and intelligible. He made offerings of both food and wine, recommendations we took for both. We were greatly impressed with everything, from the dinner to the ambiance. Our evening ended with a delicious dessert, and an assurance from us that we would return. If you're in the area, and you're looking for a gem- look up La Piazza Cafe. We were the first party to use the new banquet room at the restaurant. We eat at La Piazza on a regular basis (as we believe it is the best restaurant in the area), and we were very excited to learn about the addition of the new banquet room. We had approximately 30 people attend our dinner. The food was fabulous (as usual)! Service was impeccable--our glasses were full all night! Planning the event could not have been easier. We sat down with Larry once to discuss the menu for the evening, and he made wonderful suggestions. He also offered to make a special meal for my daughter because he knows her favorite dish. It was extremely thoughtful and illustrates the extent they go to please their customers. We wanted a special cake for the event, and Larry's wife made a wonderful rum cake at our request...truly delicious. Everyone at our dinner raved about the food and service!! Our experience Saturday, September 27th, for a private birthday celebration/family reunion of far flung family members aged 4 to 90 was a huge success. La Piazza delivered on excellent service and very tasty food. All present loved the food including the tenderloin stuffed mushrooms, bruschetta, and chocolate birthday cake. A huge thank you to both Larry Jr. and Sr. for their warm personal touch in assisting in the planning and execution of the event. Having recently moved from New Jersey and while visiting Palm Coast over the past two years while having our home built in Palm Coast, FL, La Piazza has become one of our most favorite restaurants to frequent with family and dear friends. It has to be one of the best restaurants we have eaten at while in Florida. Many of their entrees are comparable with our favorite New York and New Jersey restaurants where we would go with family for special, memorable occasions. La Piazza is one of the most delightful family owned Italian Restaurant in Palm Coast, FL where we have had the pleasure of dining, enjoying their vast array of phenomenal meals and delectable desserts. I put a lot of thought and debate into this review. Why I couldn't give a 4 star review was the cost to quality factor. Don't get me wrong the food was delicious, but was overpriced, kids meals were waaay overpriced compared to many other restaurants. Scallops were cooked perfectly, lobster ravioli was good, but I don't think it was freshly made pasta. For the price they should make it onsite. If I'm wrong about the pasta someone correct me. Calamari was nice, not a chewy piece to be found, but my kids thought it was average. The staff were very friendly. The only food complaint was the apple pie, it sucked, boring and tasteless. I've been to a lot of restaurants, so my review is comparing this to other higher end restaurants that have as good if not better food for similar prices. One last addition, please stop using the cheezy backlit menus, they are just tacky not to mention mine was only 1/2 lit. read more

We went to a Christmas party at La Piazza Cafe in Palm Coast Florida and the food as well as the service was sensational. Having lived in Naples Fl. for 15 years, there is not a restaurant in Naples, in my opinion, that comes close to the overall ambience that La Piazza offers to their customers. It is also located within the European Village of Palm Coast and upon entering the village, one feels they are walking on a quaint street somewhere in Italy. Truly a wonderful dining experience. I absolutely LOVE La Piazza Cafe, the food is amazing and the service is the best in town!!! I dine at La Piazza Cafe 3-4 a month and every holiday and special occasion is celebrated there. The Veal Marsala is fantastic, the Veal is so tender you can cut it with a fork and the sauce is the best I've ever had.
