I was really disappointed with my experience. The first time I visited, I was served chips that were cold, stale, and tasted like they had been reheated. I decided to give the restaurant another chance, but this visit was even worse. A piece of yellow foam ended up in my food, which was completely unacceptable. When I brought it to the staff's attention, I felt like my concerns were dismissed. Instead of taking the issue seriously, they looked at me like I didn't know what I was talking about. Mistakes can happen, but the way they were handled is what really left a bad impression. We are so lucky to have this nice Restaurant here at Indian Lake . The food is very good , I personally love the Grilled Chicken Taco Salad with rice , the tortilla is crispy and fresh lettuce and tomato. Amazing Margaritas on the rocks !! The staff is so kind and thoughtful . The theme inside and out with beach decor is just a great atmosphere. Highly recommend to everyone. read more

Enjoyed patio dining at this delicious Mexican restaurant at Indian Lake Drinks were strong and the beer was cold! I enjoyed the steak salad. It was simple but hit the spot with some ranch dressing. Hubs had chicken chimichangas with refried beans. Sorry no pictures. The portions were large and everyone in our party liked their food. The waitress was fun exchanging witty banter with our group. Great option in the Indian Lake area!! QUICK service, VERY reasonable prices, and yummy food!! My chile relleno entre was super filling and less than $10.00!! I imagine it gets suuuuuper crowded during prime time in the summer, but we got in right away now in the fall/covid days, and had a great dinner!! We'll be back, if in the area again!! read more

i went in at 7:45 and stood in line for 15 minutes just to be turned away last minute at 8. i understand they are ready to get out of there but to not acknowledge me and just let me stand there for 15 minutes is not okay. the young lady turned about 15 people away on a wednesday is not okay at all. read more

A large group of us came in while in from out of town. The service was slow and lacking, our food was just okay, and the receipt wasn't itemized and didn't make much sense. The added credit card fee at the end that wasn't posted anywhere was insult to injury after a lunch that took almost 2 hours from start to finish. read more

The food isn't the problem...it's very good. The problem is the front end. First of all, if you don't have Facebook forget about trying to find a menu. Should be on the website, but it isn't for some reason. After finally finding a menu, I called several times trying to get through. After about 15 minutes of trying, I finally got through only to be placed on hold. She laid the phone down and never picked it back up. I sat on hold for nearly 15 minutes before deciding to get in the car and drive up there to place my order. Ridiculous. When I got to the restaurant I walked in to place my order and let the lady know that I had called in and obviously had been paced in hold and forgotten. She picked up the phone and said "OMG! I completely forgot about you." They were very busy so I just let it slide. I then placed my order and went and sat down. She said to give her 20 minutes and my order will be ready. I waited 30, because I knew it wouldn't be ready in 20 minutes, and then I went back up front to pick my order up only to find out it was never taken back to the kitchen so they could prepare it. Yikes! She then said "give me 5 minutes and I will have it ready". Now I don't know how she would be able to get my order done in 5 minutes that had 3 meals included in the order, when before it was going to be a 20 minute wait, but maybe she has a secret potion she was going to sprinkle on the order and magically it would be done in 5 minutes...who knows. After waiting 15 minutes for my 5 minute promise time I finally got my order and left. When I arrived home, excited to finally get to eat, I realized that my wife's meal wasn't even in the bag. Seriously? So I called up and immediately she knew who was calling her. She apologized and said she forgot to put it in the bag with the rest of the order. So I get in the car and drive back up to the restaurant and waited another 5 minutes while she grabbed it. Finally, I was able to get my order, go home and enjoy my meal. It only took about an hour and a half for me to get my order when promised a 20 minute time frame. If this place fixes the front end issues, it will be a great success. The service was great and we were greeted properly at the door. We had to wait a little bit before being seated but that's OK. It was only 15 minutes. The food was fantastic and very flavorful especially the La piña dish. The frozen margaritas are really sweet but the regular one was on point. The venue has a ocean ship theme and wait staff was very playful and friendly. I recommend this place highly whether you're local or you're passing through. read more

I nor my family was impressed with this restaurant. First, it was not busy and we stood waiting to be seated for 15 minutes, everyone walking by just looking at us. Finally a women comes in who looked like she was outside smoking something and didnt care that we was just standing there, sat us finally. This is the second time we came in and definitely won't be back. The manager I guess ( she acted like it and was the one who seated us) was very short and not professional at all. I ordered my food with no sour cream, it came with it. Instead of bringing me a side plate, she literally walks back with a napkin in her hand and told me just put it in my hand on the napkin. Are you serious?!?! Then my mother and Aunts food was not right. The new server definitely had no training. We asked questions about items and all she said was I DONT KNOW, instead let me go find out. I asked if they had a certain drink, asked not ordered. She brought it out instead of saying yes we do make that, would you like one. It was terrible. The chicken quesadilla looked amazing except for it tasted like fish. The the nice lady at the front desk asked how our dinner was, I told her. I wasn't trying to get my meal for free so I didn't complain, but she asked. She tried to ask (the I guess) manager if she would take some money off, they lady asked why I told her, she rolled her eyes took off a few bucks and walked away. The lady at the counter told me , I was not the only customer who said that. So I personally would not recommend this restaurant. read more

When La Playa Azul closed, moved, reopened, closed again, and reopened again, we stopped in a few times and things were just okay. We waited to review until they got their stuff straightened out. Our most recent visit was one of the best ever. Food is always good but nothing unique. Anything with queso is sure to be great. Their cocktails are awesome; get a monster mango margarita! In the past, service could be slow, but this time was very attentive and friendly, even though they were very busy. Only negative was during checkout. Yelp offers a 10% off coupon upon check-in. The cashier had never heard of this, got someone else to help, and she honored it despite not knowing anything about it, either. Unfortunately, she didn't know how to calculate 10% of the bill. read more
