    Avocado toast
    Elisa H.

Cute little French bakery with lovely folks working there. Place your order at the register, pay your tab and it will be delivered to your table. My two friends ordered breakfast and were very satisfied with their dishes. Presentation was very nice. I ordered avocado toast as I just love sourdough and avocado together. It was tasty, although next time I'll request no butter on my toast before the avocado is placed as I would prefer to savor the bread rather than the butter. Easy parking in the lot out front. If you like French pastry and croissants, this is your place!

I'm really not understanding the 5 star reviews here. I've been here a handful of times with my friends. Each time there was something wrong with the order. If there are other people dining we can see their orders were also wrong. There seem to be no process or communication happening between the waiter and the cook/owner. There were several times we can hear them argue in the back. Although this last visit, my friend communicated directly with the cook/owner of how she wanted her eggs. They still came out wrong. We have seen high turnaround of waiters....although the last one stuck around for a while. He never smiled and always looked stressed. Not surprisingly they have a new waiter our last visit. The food is ok, and the sourdough bread is good. I've tried their carrot cake once and it was excellent. The owner gave us some macarons once when they messed up on our order. The macarons were ok. For the past few times they offer a discount if you paid with cash. They changed this policy our last visit. The discount only applies to the purchase of their fresh bread.

What a wonderful bakery! The pastries are to die for. We got a chocolate croissant and raspberry muffin and were so impressed with the flavors. The muffin was perfectly moist and the croissant had the most beautiful flaky layers. My husband got a quiche and he couldn't stop raving about it. The quiche crust was a particular highlight he mentioned. The service was excellent and the indoor seating area was bright and welcoming. We will be back!

Cafe Mocha, croissant, cappuccino, and blueberry muffin - all fantastic.

We have been exploring bakeries and coffee spots in the Thousand Oaks, Moorpark, Agoura area and La Princiere is today's discovery. What a gem. Super friendly. Bright, clean decor. I don't often have fancy coffees but somehow was drawn to the mocha. Enjoyed every single drop. Croissant and blueberry muffin beautifully made. Delicious vegetable quiche. We will be back!

The inside of La Princière was so cute and their beautiful pastries are on display in a big glass case. They all looked so enticing. Service was a little confusing. They seemed busy enough but there was only one person at the front trying to cover several orders. They were kind but it was not efficient. The coffee was great! I got an iced caramel latte that was perfectly sweet and rich. I practically inhaled it. My boyfriend got a mocha latte and liked it equally as much. I got a chocolate almond croissant. I don't know if it was just a miss today but I did not enjoy it. The flavor was good but the croissant was not flaky at all like it should have been but stodgy and squishy the whole way through instead. It was not pleasant to eat. I hope I can come back sometime and get a croissant that can redeem this one! We also got just the plain pan au chocolate and it was perfect, flaky and buttery and chocolatey.

A lovely experience in this true French patisserie, set in a tiny TO mini mall. The croissants are perfectly laminated and the sourdough is fresh from the oven. You can even purchase French butter to bring home and enjoy your carbs in peace. Order at the counter but enjoy at a table for the best experience.

Eggs Benedict with salad topped with sliced pears

Second time here and I'll return. The exterior is simple, but the interior takes you to France with cute French decor and French music. Real plants on the tables add to the ambience. Fresh sourdough was put on display at our arrival. Three patrons came in just to buy the bread. The bread is crusty on the outside and soft on the inside but pricey at $12/loaf. The coffee was not strong enough for my liking, but the almond croissant was flaky and sweet. I enjoyed the eggs Benedict with tender jambon (thinly sliced ham) and perfectly poached eggs. It came with a nice salad topped with thinly sliced pears. Counter service is friendly.

Croissants next to heavy walking foot traffic area next to washing station, area looks unkept
    Brittany S.

I noticed two things. One, a lot of employees were walking around , cleaning things up, putting cups away, cleaning up trash, and then handling a few food items, without washing hands in between . Second thing I noticed, is the long tray of croissants were directly behind the feet of the cashier, right in heavy walking traffic isle , next to the printer and To-go boxes, next to the washing station. I'm pretty sure floor debris can fly and land on the first two rows of the baking tower I think a little re organizing in the kitchen area or a closed croissant case might be better Croissant was a little too dry for my liking The inside was well decorated and lighted Employees were nice

Little did I…read moreknow that a place in Westlake Village - literally across the street from where I used to work! - had souffle pancakes of their own. I've come here 3-4 times now and the food is always fantastic. I recommend coming on a weekday if you can, because on Saturdays and Sundays I've waited over an hour to get a table during peak brunch hours (still worth it though, just plan accordingly). My wife and I usually split a savory breakfast item (usually a benedict or an omelet or something) and then share a souffle pancake. Last time we tried Bannamon and it was divine. Our friends who were visiting from out of town were equally impressed. Highly recommend!

A family nearby brought a loud toy truck for their child that continuously made an extremely high-pitched screeching and beeping noise throughout our meal. It wasn't just us who found it disruptive--several other customers also brought it to the staff's attention. Unfortunately, nothing was done, and it completely took away from what should have been an enjoyable dining experience. Had we known this was the atmosphere we were paying for, we honestly would have gone somewhere like McDonald's instead. The food itself was a mixed experience. My boyfriend ordered the loco moco and really enjoyed it. I had the pancakes, which had great flavor but were a little on the dry side. The sweet potato fries were delicious, although the ranch dipping sauce was surprisingly bland and lacked flavor. My Diet Coke was also flat. It's disappointing because the food had some strong points, but the lack of attention to the dining experience really overshadowed everything else. We understand that restaurants can't control every guest, but when multiple customers express concerns about a major disturbance, we would expect staff to at least attempt to address it. Overall, I'm not sure I can recommend this restaurant based on our experience. Note: I'd also like to mention that the service was inconsistent throughout our visit. We ended up being helped by several different servers, which made it difficult to know who was actually taking care of our table. At one point, we simply wanted to order another drink. Our server told us he would be back shortly to take our order, but he never returned. After waiting for quite some time, we eventually had to walk up to the bar ourselves just to order a drink. Between the lack of attentive service and the way the disturbance was handled, the overall experience was disappointing.

We had a reservation but got seated shortly after the reservation time. If you don't have a reservation, expect to wait at least 30+ minutes. The food is definitely worth the wait. We got the salmon and poached eggs waffle, the smores waffle, original, and the Benny Bought a Farm waffle. All was delicious!!!!! They have homemade lemonades as well. Their side of potatoes was also super yummy. Just a note that I requested decaf coffee and it comes from an instant coffee machine and tastes very artificial--not what you expect for the price. The…read morehostess informed my partner that there were 3 parties ahead of us with reservations so it would probably be about a 15-20 min wait. We figured that's perfect since it's our reservation time anyway. 11am rolls around and we still hadn't been called or got a text that our table was ready. My partner goes back in to see how much longer, and they weren't able to provide an estimated wait time, only confirmation that we were checked in. We were finally seated at 11:25am, with sincerest apologies for the wait and first round of drinks on the house, which was a really nice gesture. Our waiter, Oscar, greeted us and immediately said his boss told him free drinks on the house, and asked what we wanted. I can't tell you how much I really appreciated not only the gesture, but the message being passed down the chain of command. I don't know how many other restaurants I've been to, where we've been told something is on the house due to a mistake and then when we get the bill it isn't. The fact that they made double sure that it was clear we would be compensated a free round a drinks was very impressive to me. Great customer service, accountability and fantastic leadership. Oscar was a great server too. He told us to scan the QR code on the menu because it had picture options, and there were items there that weren't on the menu. After each person placed our order, he'd made comments such as "that's one of my favorites!" or "I really like that one!" which was a nice confirmation that he is knowledgeable on what we are ordering. At one point, he brought our waters and said that the bartenders were still making our drinks, but after he took our order he was going to help the bartender. Again, great customer service, work ethic, and team work. Now onto the food. In terms of drinks we ordered two watermelon lemonades, a cold brew and coffee. For food, we ordered The Gravy Train, Chicken and Waffles, You Had Me at Burger, Benny Met A Cali Girl, and Waffle Cute. I really enjoyed the food. Let me tell you, every single person at our table cleared their plate. Apparently, today our table was feeling very savory, but I would love to go back and try some of their sweeter options. My personal standout was the seasoned potatoes. I'm the type of gal who needs to try a bite of my everything my partner orders and when I took one bite, I somehow finished his entire side of seasoned potatoes. They were perfectly crunchy on the outside with a good amount of potato (not too much, not too little) on the inside. I loved them. Maybe this was just bad timing on our part because it was a holiday, and we came at lunch time, but I did notice it did take a long time to receive our food. We received our food at 12:07pm. I can't remember exactly what time we placed our food order, but if we were seated at 11:25am, 45 minutes seems like quite a wait to order and for the food to arrive. I imagine if the bartender was backed up, the kitchen was probably too. Overall, I think if you don't have any plans for the rest of the day, or if they're flexible, definitely give this place a try. When I think "brunch" this is the exact type of food I want in terms of quality and quantity. I also felt like the price was fairly priced for what we received. Parking is also plentiful and free. Lastly, I was very impressed with the customer service from both management and our waiter.

When there's an item like this on a menu for anyone on a keto diet, of which there's so many of us for many different reasons, I feel like the people making that decision are showing a kindness and respect to the diversity of their customers' needs. It's the most welcoming thing a business can do. My dream is that one day, every cafe offers this. This quiche was so good, I would be willing to make the drive to Westlake Village just to eat it. The staff was also really kind, checking other sugar and carb counts for other dishes so that I can understand more about the menu. Everything at The Royal Egg was just all class. The food was piping hot when it came out, the coffee was delicious, I loved that everything was farm to table and grass fed, etc. I genuinely can't wait to go back!!

If they are too busy to do orders to go, they shouldn't take the order…read more Tried to get breakfast today- got a text saying it was ready-$33 for one egg burrito btw- when I got there, it wasn't, so I asked how long and was told, "Have no idea; we're slammed." I said Really? She confirmed there was no way to give me a time, as they were slammed. I had to make up a parking spot, so I figured that I couldn't wait too long. So I just said, "Well, if you're that busy, I'll just take a refund." Another girl came over, and she said, " Well, you can't get a refund. You'll have to call Chow Now" I explained that I ordered through their website, and she explained that they use Chow Now. I said, " Well, can't you just tell me how long it'll be to make an egg burrito?" At this point, it had been only about 15-20 minutes since I ordered it. All I was doing was looking for a time. Then the manager came over and decided to "school" me on how busy the restaurant was, and I needed to understand that when I order food, it may or may not be ready when it says it's ready. She was obnoxious to say the least!! So I said, "Look, I don't want my money back, but how long is it gonna take to make a burrito?" and she said. "I don't know. We're busy!!!" And walked away, and then the other girl said it would only be another 10 minutes. So I said "OK", and I went outside to move my car because, as I mentioned, I was parked in a fake spot. There was no spot where I parked. I parked in the blue lines. Now just imagine if I was a delivery driver for DoorDash or somebody who delivers food, and you get a text saying your food is ready and you're there to pick it up, and there's no parking, so you make up a spot, and they're telling you that they have no idea how long it's gonna take. I was trying to be accommodating, so I said OK when the one girl said she would get it made in like 10 minutes. So I went outside to move my car, and then I got an email message saying that they canceled the order because they were too busy. I'm not sure what happened, but I have worked in customer service for many years. I'm in my 50s. I don't need to be talked down to like I'm a 20-year-old person who's never ordered food before and even if I was a 20-year-old who had never ordered food before, I don't think the manager coming out and screaming at me because she's overwhelmed is good customer service. I mean, being busy is a good thing. The place looked packed, so I'm assuming the food is really good, and it's really popular, but this interaction has left a really stale taste in my mouth. And my husband, when I came home without the egg burrito, was like are you kidding me and they were rude too. We'll never go there. Again, going back to my original statement. If they were too busy to make an egg burrito, then they shouldn't have taken the order in the first place. I'm sure the manager will get upset and comment something rude about me. I was happy to wait, I just needed a time. If it was 45 minutes, I could have come back home. If it were 10, then I could have moved my car, which is what I decided to do when they canceled the order.

We waited for almost 15 minutes which was really nothing for a Sunday morning. They even asked if we wanted to sit inside or on the patio-there was no room for three more people inside. The patio was grand... Orders were taken-water and coffee brought to the table and then came the crepes. They were delicious as an appetizer (as if anyone had to have their appetite stoked...!). There were omelets, scrambles and pancakes and waffles ordered-all were very good. The food was very tasty and came within a short period of time too. Thank you Eggs N Things! I found no reason on that day for our service and quality of food to rate a 5 Star to the location.
