    Assortment of skewers
    Stephanie W.

Came to this spot one night for some sit down skewers and the place gets loud because they have a live person singing and doing their own ktv.. we only ordered a pineapple beer and some skewers but overall skewers were pretty good they make the rice cake one different here and I like that. Their menu seems pretty big with seafood and desserts and other stuff!

Came on a Saturday evening for dessert and the place was full of patrons and great smelling dishes! Definitely going to return and try out their menu! The ambiance was loud and lively! They even had a live karaoke singer for entertainment; he sang mostly Chinese songs. Plus about this is, they take song requests, I'm not sure if you/party are able to sing though!

I was on my way home from a party & saw this place. From outside it looked interesting so I wanted to give it a try. I always order fish, seafood & vegetarian dish if the restaurant isn't halal. So upon asking find out they fry everything together in same oil. Even fish & shrimp! Highly disappointed! They could get more customers if they cook stuff separate. But I so appreciate that they didn't hide it from me. They could have & I would have just eat it. For their honesty I gave them an extra star! Thank You.... I ended up ordering just a brown sugar bubble tea, it was way to sweet even for me! The portion & the price was ok. The staff were nice & helpful.

This is a cute little spot to have dessert with friends at night. There's live music and the service was great. Unfortunately, their skewers were not of the quality I was hoping for. While the flavors were there, they were all missing a bit of crunch and texture. They weren't as fried as these kinds are skewers are typically made. The calamari and popcorn chicken (not pictured) were also too soft. I also ordered a red bean paste dessert which was great. They have a big menu and I think if I were to go back I'd go for the desserts or the set courses instead as they looked quite interesting. There was a bit much going on in my opinion but overall an okay experience

They have many option for dessert. I ordered several dishes. Mochi Taro Bucket taste the best, it won't be too sweet and the mash taro and mochi mixing together with Taro ball, taste soooo good! Definitely recommend this one! The Blue berry France Soufflé and Milk Tea Coconut Pudding are just okay. Milk Tea Coconut Pudding contains Coconut, Tofu Pudding, Red Bean, Raisin, Haw Flakes, Peanut, Watermelo, Agar, Jelly, Taro Ball, Brown Boba, it's a good choice of high tea though. Ice tea Combo for two, which contains a pot of Tea, 7 dishes of cake, a dish of nuts and 2 dishes of ice jelly. The cakes are toooo sweet, we all took 1 bites and then left it over there. Don't recommend this dish. One thing I want to point out is, they open at 3pm everyday, so if you want to come for dessert, you have to check out the opening time. I wish they can open earlier like 1pm. I went there at 4pm but the dessert haven't been prepared yet, the staffs told me I need to wait for few more times to get the ingredient ready. I felt not comfortable for this point. For the rest, like service, they are all doing great.

This place is a vibe! The music to the decor to being open until 6 am. We had a variety of skewers, some ice cream and a soufle pancake. I actually didn't like the soufle pancake. It had a weird texture. Maybe that's just me though.

The indoor dining space was beautiful. The sauce on their skewers is bomb. Their blueberry soufflé pancakes tasted musky. It tasted almost rancid and this taste came from the sauce. Also, they didn't mix the batter enough because I saw thick streaks of egg whites in the pancakes. Their rue lemon white tea tasted like lemon mixed with hot water and syrup. But I understand white tea is a mild flavor. The employees were efficient and attentive. Our table was never overcrowded nor messy because they cleared away the plates and wrappers (from utensils) quite often.

This spot has great atmosphere and the interior design is very picture worthy. Cute vintage chairs and seating areas, flower wall, and high ceiling decor. Including the bathroom decor, all very premium feel. Neon lights by the bathroom lobby is also very cute. 5/5 for the interior and decor. We ordered from the skewer menu. The food was not very good in our opinion. It was salty yet some are lacking seasoning. The turkish shrimp skewer is very good, would recommend. The tea we ordered was sakura tea, too lemony :(

Food is quite decent. But the atmosphere is uncomfortable. Service is fine. I applaud them to open late.

This is probably my favorite tea house in Brooklyn. There's outdoor dining and indoor dining. It's also a great hangout spot! Peach green tea; 5/5: It's not that sweet which is nice and it compliments each dessert that they have. Green tea waffle; 4/5; I only liked it when they served double icecream but now they serve it with whipped cream and icecream. The waffle is not dry which is nice and the fruits are always fresh! Service; 5/5: They are always attentive and they are very accommodating. A+ to that! Overall, I would come back here to hang out with friends or to wind down on a weekend. They also open late which is also a plus. Great place to hangout for birthday parties as well!

This is probably my new go to spot. I had such a nice experience. Their staff are super friendly and this place is kids friendly. When you arrive, they check your temperature before coming in. I think their food is deff worth their price. I got ordered some bbq skewers, egg fried rice and soufflé pancake. I love how fluffy their soufflé pancake is. You have a choice between whole egg or just egg white. I only ordered egg fried rice because that's something my toddler can eat, but I pretty much enjoyed it myself. It's not your typical egg fried rice. The fried egg is a thin layer like an omelette over the fried rice. Im deff coming back to deff their other stuff on the menu.

Came here two times for dinner during COVID phase III. They have a decent sized tented outdoor dining area and are open late. I believe they're known for their skewers and hot pot dishes but their desserts are also pretty great. I've tried their skewers, spicy rice noodles, souffle pancakes, among other items. The skewers flavor is really good but sometimes when you order on the paper menu, they will leave some items out of your order because they don't put everything that you marked into the system. I also enjoy the spicy rice noodles, which has a nice broth and lots of toppings. Their dessert selection is also great- the presentation is so aesthetic. The mango pudding was pretty good but their souffle pancakes are so light and amazing. They look so pretty and are so airy and melt in your mouth. Highly reccomend the pancakes.

    Dessert tower

For the name, "La Queen Tea House", you would think it's a cute cozy cafe but really, it looks more like a night club LOL. I've been here once for skewers takeout and it was a very mediocre experience. Extremely long wait for 4 skewers and the order was completely wrong! It tasted pretty ok but each skewer only had like 3 pieces of meat. What's up with that? Buuut, everybody deserves a second chance right? My friends and I stopped by here for dessert and some drinks. We got this dessert "tower" like the ones you see at high tea and a couple of cold tea drinks because there was a minimum amount we had to reach in order to dine in. The drinks were eh, alright. None of my friends seemed to be huge fans of it. We were honestly more excited for the dessert and when she came...yeah, no. It was a huge disappointment. It only looked pretty. Every single dessert on the tower tasted rubbery and flavorless. The cookies and coconut jello (?) tasted prepackaged and stale. *cries* The four mini cakes at the bottom were not any better. None of us could figure out what the heck we were eating. Thank you but next.

My brother and I walked around the Greenpoint area and then he had to go pick up his kiddo from camp, so I explored the area then put Kettl into google maps thinking I was coming early for class to avoid the rain. I accidentally went to the wrong location and then it started pouring. The staff told me the other location was 10 minutes away by foot, so I hauled myself to it in pouring rain. Luckily I wore workout clothes and tennis shoes that day, but my raincoat was water resistant, not waterproof, so I got pretty soaked. I still arrived a few minutes early, and the staff let me take some napkins to dry myself off. The class was at the bar in the back of this flagship location. It was set up for two, but I was the only person who showed. Jayanna led me through a very detailed class, provided handouts and a soba tea cookie along with water, and answered a ton of questions I had. As a daily matcha maker, I knew I had a lot to learn. She showed me how to care for the different tools used to make matcha. We made three preparations: sparkling matcha, shaken matcha, and matcha latte. We went through each with various steps and measurements. She demonstrated what to do and then I would make the drinks for both of us. It was a very fun experience and I learned a lot. I also got to shop after the class with a 15% discount, so I got myself a custom single cultivar matcha called okuju made exclusively for Kettl and especially for lattes, and then some individually wrapped fancy tea bags of matcha genmai and hojicha for Eric when he travels. The class had an hour and a half of instruction and I spent a half hour asking about products and shopping. It is a very nice space and I would love to try some of the unique drinks on the menu plus take more classes. If you love matcha and learning, I recommend taking a class here or at the LA location if you are on the west coast!
