NAASR (Northern Arizona Animal Search and Rescue) would like to show appreciation to La Quinta motel on Beulah in Flagstaff. Thank you to the fantastic, caring staff who assisted in reuniting Candy Cane with her family. Candy disappeared from the room without a trace! The staff removed the mattresses, but with their new beds it was impossible for a cat to get under them! (We appreciate that they welcome pets with these new no-hide beds!). They searched the room and assumed Candy had run out when they opened the door. Meanwhile, a black cat was sighted on the rocky hill behind the motel. Thinking it was her, the owner posted and NAASR responded. The owner was starting a new job in Las Vegas and had to leave. The staff assisted in another search with me. I put out cameras and food stations where the cat was sighted and outside the room. But no kitty showed up! Though the cameras were placed in discreet places only a cat could find, most motels do not allow us to put them on the property! La Quinta accepted them as long as there wasn't a chance we would not be respectful of a visitor's privacy. Yesterday, as I was leaving my second day search, I got a call from the receptionist. She said a new tenant was in the room and their dog alerted on a growling animal hidden in the bathroom. The family was moved to a different room and staff and I searched the room again, only to find Candy hiding behind the towel shelf, underneath the sink in a tight and very dark place! Because of her position, I could not grab her without losing a little blood since she was terrified! So I placed a trap with food in the bathroom and we watched by camera. At 10pm, after several attempts, Candy gave up the ghost and went in the trap! This morning, the family arrived from Las Vegas and Candy is safe and sound! She even rubbed against my legs, apologizing for her puncture wounds and spits! The feisty kitty was already curling up in her carrier for a nice nap! So many things could have gone wrong if La Quinta hadn't cared so much for pets! But they did everything they could to help Candy Cane get home! They clearly respect animals! They have biscuits in the reception area ( and cookies for the people!), a beautiful landscaped property, pet friendly rooms and a staff who cares! Thank you, Flagstaff La Quinta! NAASR recommends to all visitors, with and without pets!

Absolutely Gorgeous King Suite - Incredible Value & Amazing Staff at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Flagstaff! We had an amazing stay at the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Flagstaff on South Beulah Blvd! We booked the King Suite for only $131 total, and it was worth every penny. The suite was spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom was stunning, and I loved that there were two vanity areas--one outside the bathroom and another outside the bedroom, which made getting ready super convenient. The living room area was well-furnished with a TV, couch, chair, desk, and two office chairs, offering plenty of space to relax or get some work done. The suite also included a microwave, mini fridge, sink, and coffee maker, which made our stay even more convenient. The bedroom was fantastic, with a comfortable king-size bed, another TV, and a closet. There was also an extra closet near the front door for additional storage. Even though I took pictures the next day when the room had been "lived in," it was still absolutely beautiful. A Few Small Notes The French doors for the bathroom looked nice but had a gap in the middle, which felt a little awkward for privacy. However, the French doors for the bedroom were a gorgeous touch! Breakfast Experience The hotel offers a continental breakfast, which was decent but not amazing. The eggs were a little soggy, and the sausage could have been charred a bit more. However, the orange juice and waffles were great, and the bagel was good--especially with cream cheese and jelly. The coffee was okay, and they also had toast, muffins, fruit, pancakes, and both mini and regular waffles. Outstanding Customer Service & Pet-Friendly Stay The staff here was wonderful! When we checked in, Kate at the front desk ensured we had everything we needed, and she was so sweet and helpful. In the morning, Renne was just as kind, making sure we were taken care of. I accidentally spilled my eggs outside my door and felt so bad, but Renne reassured me not to worry about it. I also left the housekeeper a $10 tip because the staff truly does a great job keeping everything clean and comfortable. Another huge plus--this hotel is pet-friendly, making it a great option for those traveling with furry companions! Final Thoughts Everything in the suite was spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. For the price, it was an outstanding value, and the friendly, helpful staff made our stay even better. I would definitely recommend this La Quinta to anyone looking for a gorgeous, spacious, and affordable stay in Flagstaff--especially if you're traveling with pets!

Barely clean enough, def needs a deep cleaning & I do not suggest looking too closely. Tub had stuff in it when we arrived, room ok but dingy and not really that clean. Nice staff, morning continental breakfast was ok.

Location is great - near NAU and easy in and out to get on freeways Lovely lobby area and quick check in. The room was beautiful. Beautifully decorated in deep purple and gray. Room was spacious, bathroom immaculate. The pool area, in particular, is great. The hotel is built up against a burm, so the pool area has a very private feel. The breakfast was varied, from waffles to cereals and fresh fruit. However, this is my one criticism - the fruit was very poor in appearance. The citrus was hard and shriveled and the bananas were marked up and gray.

This place got a pretty good posting on the hotel sites, and I will say I was very impressed. The room was incredibly clean and fresh for a simple hotel. Everything's smelled good. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was decent. There's a decent gym for a hotel and the price was definitely right. If I'm in Flagstaff again, this is my go to for sure. I highly recommend you check them out if you're in the area.

Whoever was the lady cleaning level 3 by the morning of July 6th must be fired for calling me Mother Fuc!#er. She was extremely rude with us because we asked to have our room cleaned, we stayed from July 4-7 and it was a nightmare every single day, we fought hard to have more toilet paper and clean towels. Worst breakfast ever by the way

I have mixed feelings about this La Quinta. I've typically enjoyed my stays at other hotels in this chain but this one had some very good and very bad points. Check in was fast and we got a phone call once we were in our room asking if everything was OK. The room was quite small but it had all the amenities needed and seemed pretty clean at first inspection. Overall I think they do a good job keeping everything santitized outside the rooms. We saw staff even cleaning the door handles after people used them. As for the general mask/no mask atmosphere, there were a mix of masked and unmasked front desk staff and the housekeeping staff member I saw talking to a front desk lady was wearing a mask. Nearly all hotel customers I saw here did not wear masks indoors. Of the two beds in our room, one was older with a stained comforter and bedspread. I'll be honest the staining on that comforter was so nasty. It looked like a mix of old stains that they never bothered to wash out and some new looking suspicious dark brownish stains. I didn't realize this until late the last night of our stay. As soon as I saw that I pulled the stained covers off the bed. The beds themselves were sorta saggy and it was hard for me to fall asleep, partially due to the old bed and partially due to the anxiety of wondering if the bed you're sleeping on is really clean. The tub drain didn't screw in correctly so it was impossible take a bath. The shower had decent water pressure with plenty of hot water. On the plus side, the hotel, like most that bear the La Quinta name, is very pet friendly and there is no pet fee. This is the main reason I picked La Quinta over some other pet friendly hotels in Flagstaff. You do have to sign something upon check in saying you will not leave your pet in your room unattended though but it was no biggie for us since Flagstaff is a very dog friendly town. Our room had easily access to the pool area and parking lot and it was a short walk to the pet relief stations. At the pet relief stations there are doggie bags available. The pool and hot tub are ADA accessible. There's a crane looking seat apparatus that can lower you into the water. The pool has a shallow end of about 3 ft and the deeper end is around 6 ft. The pool water was warm-ish. While we were here it was heated since it was a mild and rainy weekend. Parking was easily and plentiful. The hotel is within easy access to one of the main roads in Flagstaff. There's lots of food, coffee and grocery options in the area. As for their free breakfast, if you like carbs here's your place. I saw a lot of prepackaged baked goods offered, as well as milk and juice. The coffee bar is available all the time I think and also offers different teas as well. Details (As of July 2021): Pool is open 9 AM-10 PM Breakfast is from 7-9 AM Check in at 3 PM Check out at 12 PM

Good, but not great. The rooms were very clean and recently renovated - the ground floor rooms all have vinyl wood floors which makes it great when traveling with a dog. Unfortunately, we left after our first night due to the heater being extremely loud. Every time it kicked on it would wake us up and we got very little sleep because of it. Their dog fee was small (I think like $10) and all the staff were super welcoming. Plenty of dog poop stations right outside the room. We didn't eat breakfast but there were a lot of people waiting in line. Smelled good! We would come back when the heater isn't necessary.

We did an overnight getaway for Valentine's Day here. Super easy mobile check in and upon check in, we were given hand sanitizer and antibacterial wipes. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was clean and nice. My major complaint with our stay was that we could not take a hot shower.. at best, the water was able to get only lukewarm water. I expect to be able to take a hot shower while staying at a hotel. Heated pool and fitness center were open to guest although we didn't use them. Due to COVID, no continental breakfast but they offered fruit and muffins for guest. Hotel is conveniently located near a couple of spots and not that far of a drive from downtown Flagstaff.. less than 10 minutes away. Also, hotel is dog friendly which is super cool if you have a fur baby.

He proceeded to say "Look, I know you guys have been clubbing, I am going to call the Police if you don't leave". After I heard that, I walked away and knocked on my roomates room door myself so he could let me in himself. My roomate let me in and called the front desk to give me my key back. Then the manager came and gave me my key back while I was in the room. This was hands down, the most unaccommodating, unpleasant and downright hotel experience ever. Blue immediately assured me that it wouldn't be possible for me to park anywhere on the premises, though I'd already paid to stay the night. When I asked "surely you aren't that busy, the parking lot has many open spaces", he raised his voice to yell at me that as a policy they do not accept oversized vehicles and I needed to find somewhere else to stay. I am a young woman traveling alone and grown men yelling at me is scary, so I left the premises to find another hotel to stay at. I called the agency I booked the hotel through to cancel the reservation. Blue reassured them on the phone that he can't do a refund because one guest can only take up 2 parking spaces. My car and camper can detach and take up exactly 2 spaces. This detail would have been helpful to hear initially instead of being yelled at and shooed away so I could resolve the situation. Because I booked another hotel room at Blue's insistence, and then he refused me a refund. I returned to the hotel to clarify with Blue that I would have liked to know the bit about being able to take up 2 parking spots because I could have fixed the problem and stayed there instead of paying for 2 hotels, but he started raising his voice at me, telling me the blatant lie that he "was trying to tell me that, but I wouldn't listen", and continued to scream at me to get off his property. As long as this man is working here, I'd recommend staying far away from this business. I've added some photos of the space in the parking lot for reference.
