I had veggie fajitas and they were awesome! I have had fajitas before in other places but nothing comes close to this. They taste so good all by themselves that one doesn't even need tortillas and rice and beans with them. Their sangria was really good. SO had Polo Asado and he swears by it. We even talked to the owner of the restaurant and he told us that they make everything fresh, even the beans. Nothing comes out of the can and the quality of the food confirms it. FRESH!! Finally, I found a local Mexican/Latin-American restaurant that takes pride in providing fresh-tasting meals! Nothing here tastes like its from a can or spent time under a heat lamp. From their homemade chips, tortillas and guacamole, to their perfectly prepared Molè, fish tacos, and ceviche, everything was perfect. The wife and I had such a great meal. Not to mention, the staff seems inspired by the chefs/owners and its reflected in their upbeat service. Top it off with a reasonably-priced bar, it makes for a great night out. It's great to taste ethnic food that has flavor and tastes like it is made by people who care and who actually like the food they are making. The chips and salsa are fresh and burst with flavor. One less star for service. I understand it's Friday night and all tables were full but it took 5 minutes for someone to come to our table. The waitress kept passing us by and not acknowledge us until I asked her if she was our server. Then rushed to say she will be right back. Finally the buser came by with nachos and water. So after all that and almost finished our complimentary nachos she came by and took our order and about 10 minutes since we sat down. So we just order the drinks and food. On to the food. It was great I had the mixed fajitas and my wife had the beef with rice something, and our kid got the beef empanadas. We enjoyed our food and do get the hot sauce. It comes as green hot sauce and it's really good, I think it's homemade as I can taste the freshness of the ingredients. The service did get a little better once the other customers left. I feel robbed. We had carna asada and chicken fajitas. Pretty basic Mexican food and it was sub par to say the least. No Guac, no sour cream, and no salsa. My asada was a mediocre piece of steak that wasn't seasoned at ALL. On top of that they didn't even bother to slice the meat so I spent a half hour cutting chewy, burnt steak into bite size pieces to fit into the tortilla. The one thing that could have saved the dish, the tomato sauce, didn't even make the plate. The chicken, yet again did not have any seasoning. I'm no food critic but a new place like this could do very well in LV if they put in any sort of effort. The rest of the reviews must be family or friends being nice. I don't buy it. read more

Worst experience this evening!! Ordered food online through their app. Originally, order was to be ready by 7:30, received an update that they were running behind (understandably, it's Cinco de Mayo) and to pick up at 7:40. I got there at 7:40 and they told me to go to the bar. 10 minutes later, someone asked me if I needed help. I told them I was waiting for my order and they said, it will be a few more minutes. At 8:15, still nothing. At that point, they said, please wait five more minutes. I was getting frustrated because I had to pick my boys up at a birthday party by 9. 10 minutes later a server came up to me and apologized that they never received my order! What?! After standing there for 35 minutes, they tell me this. I had prepaid online with tip so I felt like I was in a bind. I showed them my online order and updates from their site, was told they would make my order right away and have it delivered to my house while I picked up my boys at the party. While not ideal, I thought fine since my husband had not eaten dinner yet and I wouldn't be able to make him anything until after the party. Well, picked up the boys at the party, called my husband to check on the order (at 9:05) and he told me it never came. I called la Rienda to inquire about the delivery. Again, I was told, I'm sorry, we were leaving right now with the order! I can't believe it. I never experienced anything like this before. Now at 10:10, as I write this review, I never did receive my prepaid meal. They asked me to come in tomorrow and they will refund my money. Big deal. I'm so angry right now. My husband never did eat dinner, I wasted 35 minutes sitting in a crowded bar waiting on food that never showed up and I'm still hungry for Mexican food and maybe I'll get my $40 back tomorrow :( read more

I really hope that this place makes it - they MUST fix the service issues when it is busy... Went here for dinner at 6:45 pm on a Sunday (with a reservation) before Labor Day and we were seated right away. The dining rooms and bar were all pretty full, and you can sit outside on a small patio or porch as well. We sat at our table for a very long 15 minutes before anyone came over, and when the waitress did come to the table, we ordered our drinks and dinner. About 5 minutes later a bus boy brought us a basket of delicious home made tortilla chips and two kinds of delicious salsa, but unfortunately we had NO water. After another ten minutes went by and the chips were gone, our waitress finally brought us our water and our ceviche appetizer, which was outstanding. She then came back again with our mojitos (excellent). Our food came out about 10 minutes later, my husband had the steak churrasco and I had the pork tamales. His steak was amazing and our rice and beans were delicious. My pork tamales were the only disappointment for food - the tamale was mushy and bland, and the pork did not have much flavor. There are a LOT of traditional Mexican and Guatemalan items on the menu, and everything is clearly home made. The dining areas are all very cozy and unique, but it can be loud if the tables next to you are large parties. We will go back again, but they really need to at least greet people and bring them water within 5-10 minutes. It seems like they need more waitstaff here, at least on the weekends.
