We reached out to Laroque Roofing because we had an active leak in our roof and needed it addressed urgently. A representative named Tyler came out to inspect the roof, and at first, we were hopeful. He seemed knowledgeable and said they'd follow up with an estimate and next steps. That was the last meaningful contact we had. Despite following up multiple times--not once, not twice, but more than three times--we never received a single call back. No updates, no explanations, nothing. It's incredibly frustrating to be left hanging, especially when you're dealing with water damage and need timely repairs. We ended up having to find another company who actually communicated with us and followed up with timelines. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Laroque Roofing if you're looking for reliability or responsiveness. They wasted our time when we needed help the most. A year and a half ago I had a leak in my dining area. I called many roofers but Guy LaRocque was the only one who sent someone over the same day to put a tarp up. They did some repairs to get the roof to last a couple more years. When Guy gave me the estimate for replacing my roof he credited the amount that I paid him for placing the tarp. Also, I was told by some local friends that LaRocque was more expensive than other local roofers. LaRocque actually gave me the best price. When I called him last month he honored the estimate he gave me last year in February. They just finished my roof yesterday and I could not be happier with them. La Rocque rebuilt part of our rafters, sistered a number of weaker rafters, and installed a new flat roof and sloped roof on our home in Oct and Nov 2021. They were great to work with, from the initial contact (Jillian, Gemma) to the estimate (Brian) to the permitting team, to the carpentry team (led by Humberto), and finally to the TPO and shingle roofing teams (led by the Foreman Dennis). Everyone was very clear, respectful, and worked around our schedule. They also installed thick fiberglass batten insulation in our attic while the sheathing was up, put back the existing sheathing that was in good shape and added new quality sheathing when needed. They worked quickly. Dennis was on top of every detail and you cannot go wrong with him. Humberto was also great for all of the carpentry needed. We went out to bid with several companies and La Rocque's quote was competitive. They handled all of the permitting with the City and all went smoothly. La Roque works with homeowners of older homes and are completely fine with the sometimes quirky character of historical homes from the 1920s to 1970s. The house is much quieter and cooler now, and we have better water drainage from the flat roof than we did before. They also did a great job installing a solartube and putting in a quality Velux skylight. Overall, we're very happy and we recommend La Rocque. read more

It happenes EVERY time NEVER FAILS when this company does work in my complex, I get a nail or two in my tire. It's happened on several occasions. Is it their company policy to just throw nails on the ground as they are working ? No regard for the residents and their property? This morning I'm trying leave and I find there is a gaping hole in my garage, I get in my car and I can hear debris falling on my car. At this point I get out. I don't feel safe leaving my home unattended while this company is here. I can also hear workers just talking nonsense social chatter. Unprofessional. We used La Rocque 20 years ago to replace our roof on our previous home in the Inland Valley and was impressed with their work and customer service. We now live in O.C. and when we needed to replace our roof, La Rocque was the first name I looked up. Their reviews before Yelp was word of mouth and when I looked on Yelp recently, their reputation was still stellar. Brian Henderson, VP of Sales, helped trouble-shoot where the leeks were coming from and was trying to save us money by going over different options from repairing vs. replacing. I mention that because a lot of roofing companies don't want to waste their time in repairing. Unfortunately, due to the poor installation of our solar panels, we needed to replace the roof. There was confusion on how the solar panels were going to be re-installed and instead of leaving it to the homeowner to figure it out, I was directed to their GM, Dennis, who contacted the solar company to discuss their plan of action, so that it would not compromise my new roof. Before the job started, I was contacted by Gemma, who handles the communication on your job and who kept me updated daily on everything that would be done and then a follow up on what was done and any changes in the project. Not only is Gemma super informed about everything roofing, she is the most delightful person on the phone and on email. Cristian was one of the supervisors on board to instruct the crew and Gonzalo was the other supervisor on a different day. No matter what, there's always a supervisor there. Gonzalo was kind enough to paint the eaves where the old color peeked out after the new roof was installed. It's this kind of detail and customer service that speaks volumes to me. I also received a compliment from my neighbor on how courteous the technicians were with their trucks and directing traffic. This is a top notch company and I'm so glad they serve the O.C. area.
