Today 2/28/21 we ordered green chili enchiladas with a small salad, smothered burrito with chicken and they put beef instead!!!!! That's not very nice to do to a person. When my husband called back to let them know that our order was wrong she did say that they would make another one correctly and my husband said no to it. Simply because it should have been done right the first time. We have never had bad service before. We will not be going there again. The lady on the phone said "well alright simple enough " and hung up on us while we were talking to her!!!!! So very unprofessional

    Philly Sandwich great taste.

Called inquiring about reservations, told it's first come first serve and I should expect about a 15-20 min wait. Showed up, 3 adults w/ 3 kids at 5:30. Was told I was the 2nd name behind an 11 top, and should be able to be seated in 5 min due to a few tables just waiting to be cleared upstairs. 20 mins later I watched them clear a 6 top at the front door downstairs, then split it so they could seat two tables of 4 who had shown up after my family. After waiting another 10 min I asked about how long we were looking at, the woman at the door told me she would go upstairs and check on the table, she returned to inform me that I was now looking at probably 20 min before we could be seated. We left... I don't know if the elderly woman working as a hostess at the door is an owner, a wife, family friend, or simply a pity hire due to her old age, but she has no business working customer service at a restaurant. She lied to me and several other groups about wait times, and seating availability only to double down several times about how soon we will be seated. She obviously has zero idea about how food service works, customer service relations, or kitchen service/food service times. Side note: an obviously drunk group of six made their way in during my wait, the bartender had no issue serving them, fingers crossed they weren't driving home, but I doubt anyone is that lucky.

Unfortunately, the…read moreexecution didn't live up to the hype of a place that is trying to position itself as an upscale venue. To be clear, our server, Summer, was a real standout in how she handled our group of ten. The food was the let down here. While the presentation was visually pleasing; my pork was not seasoned whatsoever. My Wife's chicken was very dry and also unseasoned. There is potential here, we just didn't see what we might have expected in the food.

Our server in addition to being incredibly slow and barely checking on us throughout the night deposited a near empty dining room brought us the wrong orders and overcharged every single person at the table for items they did not order. It was either incompetence or a deliberate scam but it took so long to get our cheques that we decided just to pay and cut our losses (fitting for a casino restaurant). He also struggled to do basic math when we asked to split a menus item cost between two people. The food was extremely overpriced for what was served to us. The steak was fine but not at the value of the cost. The one redeeming factor was the Green Chili's Lobster bisque. One of the best things I'd ever eaten. Just wish the rest of the food and service had been to the same level. Only thing saving this from being a 1 star review.

Vintage chic with Palm Springs flair, Easily the fanciest spot you'll find in Truth or Consequences, I swear. Loads of character, charm for days, The kind of ambiance that makes you want to stay. Servers dressed sharp in black and white, Adding a touch of class that feels just right. Dress it up or keep it casual, either way you belong, This place fits the mood, you can't go wrong. The food? Delicious from start to end, French onion soup to begin--rich, savory, a win. Surf and turf kabobs followed, cooked just right, Then cheesecake to finish, smooth, sweet delight. I really wished I could rate this place higher but my steak was overcooked and bland and my husband said his was just ok. We'd really like to give this place another chance so will stop by again next time we're in town!

It's a beautiful place with a nice dining room and bar area. The menu has just enough to choose from that anyone should be able to pick something they would like. Nothing is too fussy and the prices are decent for a steakhouse in a small mountain town that depends a lot on tourism. I have been there for lunch, for dinner, by myself and with friends - probably over a dozen times over several years. Not once have I walked away feeling like I had a great experience. The service is usually decent but the servers always seem way more interested in chatting with each other or hanging out with other employees. On more than one occasion I've heard them complain about other customers or getting another table as more customers come in the door. The food is generally okay but nothing special. It's not a complicated menu but you can order the same thing more than once and who knows how it will show up to the table. Over or under cooked, way over seasoned or missing ingredients listed on the menu - this has happened to me several times. Walking into the restaurant you are rarely greeted by someone right away. It takes a while for anyone to notice you and then if someone does it's usually a busy server or someone who doesn't look like they work there. Today I was greeted by someone who was dressed like they were cleaning out their garage. Several times I've been seated at the only clean table in the room. By the time I've left, the tables have all been dirty and no one has touched them during my entire meal. A table was only cleaned if it was needed for someone else coming in. It's a really bad impression. Something needs to be done to isolate the kitchen from the front of the house. You can hear the kitchen staff yelling, cursing and playing loud heavy metal music throughout the dining room and bar. During meals I have learned a lot about the personal lives of the staff and not because I wanted to. All of these things are fixable. I keep going back because I'll hear that there is a new manager or a new chef but it seems like nothing ever really changes and it's a shame.

I had spoken with The Ranchers restaurant for several weeks prior to Thanksgiving 2025, setting up a reservation for a party of 12, and I even provided editing feedback on their menu graphic. The restaurant gave me the time slot for 2:30pm. I was so excited, as my family traveled from out of state to Ruidoso for Thanksgiving, and having everyone together to share a traditional family Thanksgiving meal was very important to us. The traditional Thanksgiving meal was publicly listed and is included in the photo: Upon arrival, the waitress informed us that they were out of Ham. Then, cranberries. Then, not enough pecan pie. I politely asked if they were going to provide a substitution for the items that were unavailable and they said no. So, I then asked if they were going to provide a discount from the rate, as they were failing to provide what was listed for the price. Once again, the manager told the waitress to tell me no. I said, that's really disappointing to hear and that's poor customer service. The waitress then said to me, "Well, we close in 30 minutes and it's been a busy day," as if it were MY fault that they ran out of food and insinuated we were late. I said, "No, that's an unacceptable response. I was given this time as a reservation weeks ago. There should have been enough food for my family. All these people didn't have reservations. It's not like we came 30 minutes before closing. And you shouldn't be charging full price for a meal that isn't complete." 7 people in my family ordered the traditional turkey meal. One didn't receive stuffing. Bread was late. No cranberry. No ham. Charged full price. I went back to the Facebook message where I had been communicating with the restaurant and they said the Manager would call me and offer compensation for the meals that were charged. He never called. Unethical. Inconsiderate. Taking advantage of people. Thumbs down.
