    Pollo and al pastor tacos
    Lizzie G.

Ehh. It was okay for me, I'm somewhere between a 3 and 4. Some of the employees glared at me in the parking lot which was not a great start... why are you halfway standing and looking like you're taking and then when I get close you decided to start crossing the street? I let you go and you have the audacity to look at me like I'm the problem? Huh? Our group goes inside and a staff member had to come help the pair at the register as they didn't seem to know English (i know some Spanish and probably could have gotten through it; however, we were a group of about 8 that was unlikely to all know Spanish so I appreciate him coming to help). I ordered the taco Tuesday pollo taco and Al pastor taco ($.99 at time of review). I also got the horchata and it was strong on the cinnamon imo. There wasn't a lot of flavor on my tacos and I had to put sauce on both of them. Overall, they were edible but nothing to write home about for me. I'd go back and try the birria tacos.

This is a great place to stop late at night with a group of people. The service here is quick and their tacos are pretty decent. They do taco Tuesday where their pastor, carnitas, tinga, chuleta, and pollo tacos are 99¢ which is a great deal. I got the tinga de pollo, birria, al pastor, and cachete taco made with flour tortillas along with a small pina agua fresca. I think my favorite out of the ones I tried was the birria taco. It was flavorful compared to the rest and I am regretting not getting it on a corn tortilla. The others were okay, I enjoyed them but they weren't my favorite.

Best breakfast burritos are here! Place gets really packed at 12pm, so I usually avoid the lunch time rush. Love their tacos and their aguas frescas variety in flavors. When my friends visit and want good tacos, this is my go-to!

Excellent Tacos and service, the tacos and salsas hit pretty hard here and it's got lots of clean seating and tables to enjoy if dining in.

I'm surprised by the low ratings here because this was a highlight on my short trip to Dallas! I highly recommend a mini al pastor. I've actually never heard of a "mini" before which was a fun discovery--something I didn't think was possible considering how much Mexican food I eat. It's like a cross between a mulita and a nacho. So delicious! Everything else I ordered was amazing too! Great sauces to go with the tacos and of course I had to get an horchata.

The food here is AMAZING and always fresh--we've already been back at least four times! The Tinga de Pollo (seasoned chicken breast) is hands down the best we've ever had. We also tried the al pastor tacos, which were delicious, and the fresh melon and pineapple juices were super refreshing. The tostada was so loaded with fresh veggies and flavor that we were full before even getting to the tacos. Highly recommend--this place is a must-try!

Let me tell you! Street tacos for days! True street tacos so if you don't like that be prepared. No cheese but cilantro and onions! Their service was quick and food was hot! Ambiance was very authentic so be ready for an authentic experience! They didn't convince me at first but when the queso birria came out it changed the game! Aguas frescas were so fresh and good! This place is dangerous if you're a foodie! I can see why it doesn't have 5 stars if you are not used to the authentic experience but if you don't care about all that bougie-ness, this is the place! Dios mío!

Ham, cheese and carne asada torta

This place is always packed with a really good crowd and always has a line in the drive-thru so we knew we had to come check it out. I got a ham, cheese and carne asada torta with a Mexican coke because nothing else will do and I also got a crunchy bag of kettle chips that are always a perfect accompaniment to any sandwich. The pros are that the sandwich was delicious, the meat is perfectly seasoned and the sandwich is amply stuffed with lots of fillings like refried beans, avocado as well as all your meats and veg and I love the pickled jalapeno that comes with it because it gives you that wonderful kick of heat and acid to cut through the richness of your meat and creamy avocados. The only con really is that the bread is a bit too soft to really hold up to all of these ingredients and your sandwich really starts to fall apart after a few bites in and you end up with a mess on your hands and if you're not careful, your clothes. Maybe going with a bit heartier bread or toasting it a bit more might help remedy this but otherwise it was freaking delicious!!

We were very pleasantly surprised. It's even better in my opinion. The people are very warm and friendly. The food is really delicious. I love that they bring not only good salsa with their fresh hot chips, but also a tomatillo sauce and a black bean dip. We've now eaten there several times. The taco meat has a nicely charred flavor. The tamales were very good. (I'm picky about my tamales. I've tried their ranchero sauce, chili con carne, and sour cream sauce. None of them disappoint. Their rice isn't dry like it is at many other Tex-Mex places. And their $5.00 all day frozen margaritas are worth it. We usually go for the lunch specials that run until 4:00. They don't have mole on the menu, yet. I'm looking forward to their future specials. In this day and age where it's hard to keep a restaurant open, I really hope this one survives. It's not fancy, but the food and service make it worth it. And I'm a picky person when it comes to spending money on food I don't make myself.

Unfortunately, since the ownership change, the experience just hasn't been the same. The customer service is still decent, and I genuinely enjoy their spicy Mexican martini -- that's honestly the main reason I still stop by. However, the food quality has noticeably declined. Over the past year, I've experienced stomach issues after eating here, which had never happened to me before under the previous ownership. I'm not sure if it's a change in ingredients, preparation methods, or sourcing, but something is clearly different. It's disappointing because this used to be a go-to spot. I truly hope the new management takes a closer look at the food quality and consistency. There's a strong history here, and it would be great to see it restored.

There was a 45-minute wait, due to how many people were crammed into downtown, trying to find places to eat. I had wanted to come here for a while, and suggested coming here to my girlfriend, who admittedly, "doesn't like Tex-Mex" (I know, I know), and after encouraging her to give it a try, we were pleasantly treated to some very high quality food in a nice environment. Despite being woefully understaffed, to the point that they were out of bowls for the salsa and started serving it in to-go containers, the staff was friendly and helpful, with the manager still making the rounds to introduce himself and check on people's experiences. I really liked the chips & salsa, and so did my girlfriend who is very spice sensitive. We had the, "Julio's Tilapia", which was, "Pan-seared tilapia topped with fresh sautéed baby spinach and jumbo grilled shrimp, finished with a silky spicy chipotle cream sauce. Served with rice and a crisp side salad." and the "GUIS-Ohhhhhh!", which was, "Traditional Mexican beef stew. Served with avocado slices, tomatoes, lettuce, & tortillas". The food was delicious, and I really thought the jumbo shrimp was great, and the Guisoooo (carne guisada) was deeply flavored, and very rich in a way I haven't had before. My girlfriend made sure to flag down the manager to point out what an exceptional meal she thought it was, and mentioned several times how blown away she was, and I quote her as saying, "I was expecting one thing, but I did not expect a foodie experience!". We sat at the bar area, which while not large, has taller tables which is helpful for me. The restaurant handled the huge volume of people well, and the food quality was great.
