We loved this little place in Willits. The service was excellent and the bread was refilled and served hot I love warm bread! The dips were delicious they were Basil pesto, Extra Virgin olive oil, their house made red sauce Sugo Sauce and balsamic vinegar. We were half way through the bread and dips before I took those pictures. We were getting into the second round of bread when our entrees came. My husband enjoyed the Spaghetti with Creamy Pesto! My mother-in-law loved the Penne with Creamy Pesto! The creamy pesto was different from others I've had more of a buttery pesto not a white sauce pesto it was very fresh and light not heavy!! I had the amazing Rosa Sauce, which is the Sugo sauce mixed with Alfredo loved love loved it on my fluffy creamy cheese ravioli which tasted homemade!! All Pasta was topped with Fresh Romano Cheese it was perfect and I didn't need to add anything more very balanced and flavorful!! Love that they also serve Frey Wine. The atmosphere is basic; plastic red and white checked tablecloths and giant tv. Could be upgraded for sure but go for the food!! Gluten Free options available like Gluten Free Gnocchi and Chickpea Pasta. Plenty for the meat eaters too. We made a point of getting the pasta selections this time because we don't have a sit down Italian restaurant in our town anymore. But tons of Pizza options. I'm a huge fan of sauces and pasta as you can see from other reviews. We're definitely going back for more soon!! It's a small restaurant so if you have a large party you might want to make a reservation.

We arrived on a Saturday night and the place was fairly busy. The host was very kind and respectful. I ordered a Caprese salad, which was ok. The tomatoes were fresh and the cheese tasked ok. I was a bit disappointed, but it wasn't a fancy dish to begin with The pene also tasted a bit unflavored. The bread that comes with Pene was good. Overall, it is an ok food and a good place to eat. Nothing to complain.

We've been looking for an authentic Italian restaurant in our area for quite some time and this restaurant is really a little hidden gem . The owner/chef came out and talked with us and asked how we liked our dinners and my Sicilian husband raved about his delicious raviolis topped with freshly made Alfredo sauce. And I really enjoyed the cannoli dessert topped with savory cherry sauce. The waitress was so friendly and very attentive. We enjoyed the whole experience very much! We will definitely be back soon!!

I was invited to try this place by a friend who heard great things, looking at it from the outside I was skeptical. This is a prime example of 'Don't judge a book by its cover'. There was ample seating with some interesting pictures and art. Our hostess Terri greeted us with her Long Island accent and I was instantly transported back to my youth. She was forthcoming, open, honest and knowledgeable about the menu. The meatballs were giant and hearty, full of flavor. The bread was perfect and came with great dipping sauces. The Sugo with extra artichoke heats was a big hit. I chose penne Puttanesca extra spicy and I cannot rave enough about it. The only thing I missed was the cannoli, which I will break my no sweets diet. I'll be back to try the pizza too, Terri said it was the closest to a New York pie you could get. Give this place a try.

The last slice 3 were taken home, 1 made it back...good stuff.

This spot is a culinary oasis in Willits, moreso Mendocino County as a whole. There are a few hidden gems in the midst of the fast food environment on 101 North, and this is one of them. The Pizza is great, and I have been a pizzaiolo for a solid chunk of my life. The dough is crisp, yet has a tender give to it. The sauce is solid, and for sure is not from a can. The cheese has a nice pull, but it is not rubbery or chewy. We went with a pie that had ground sausage, not little disks, which (I think) adds to a perfect bite each time The owner is friendly (I got a chance to speak with him when he came to our table to check on our meal), and he obviously takes pride in what he is doing. If I lived in the area I'm sure we would be regulars for our pizza nights, nothing comes close in the area (in my opinion). The atmosphere of Willits can be a bit daunting sometimes, it is a smaller town with a slight side-eye vibe for non-locals, but you won't find that here. This place is on our list when passing through, it is absolutely a reason to get off of the bypass (which I am sure has hurt the local businesses somewhat), and enjoy a nice pie. Thank you(s) Sicialana, for your quality, and making my experience. Peace.

The bathrooms are clean and large enough to accommodate a large amount of people at one time. We decided to taste the gelato while waiting for our car to charge since we already had lunch, but looking at the fact that they make their own sourdough a sandwich would be a great choice for future stops. The gelato is made in house, and I had a lemon which was light and refreshing. My husband had the dark chocolate gelato. He said it didn't have a heavy milk based taste and not really creamy but very chocolaty. The server for the gelato was very friendly and let me taste first. I would stop here again even if I didn't have an EV car to charge.

The look is very much a country cafe vibe, yet somewhat upscale too. The lunch outside was so enjoyable. The space and garden is delightful. Seating is far enough apart so you don't feel cramped. I started with the soup of the day which was wonderful. Then I chose the Rock Fish Tacos and oh my goodness, some of the best tacos ever. I liked that they didn't automatically fall apart when you picked it up. Plus the flavor and tenderness of the fish was spot on perfect. For dinner during a subsequent visit sitting inside at a cozy table was equally enjoyable. Four of us had a tough time choosing entrees as everything on the menu looked appealing. We started and shared the cheese board which was fabulous. Local cheeses were the highlight and ever so good. For my entree I chose the Gnochi with vegetagles. I very much enjoyed the overall dish but the gnochi were somewhat sparse and not that good in texture. Surprisingly that didn't impact the overall impression as everything else in the dish was satisfyingly delicious. It was an adequate portion and the price point good for the quality. We went through two bottles of wine, one suggested by the server. It was spot on. This is a delightful restaurant and if you're in the area definitely make it a stop for either lunch, when available, or especially dinner.

We loved the atmosphere which they have live music playing! Our server was very kind and gave us recommendations. We were able to split and share a Cesar salad and they gave two plates to share which was kind instead of one big plate and we appreciated that. I give 4/5 stars for the quality of the food only because I felt the spaghetti noodles were a little salty along with the sauce being salty. I love love love spaghetti and this was the first time I've been to an Italian restaurant and felt something was salty because I'm never one to complain. It could have been an off day but from the time we ordered to the actual dinner entrees to come took more than 20 minutes and it wasn't too crowded. Also, we ordered cannolis and the shell didn't seem crunchy/fresh but the flavor was there and the texture of the ricotta was smooth! While a table was booked for 6:45 they didn't seat us til 7:!5. The waiter was awful - didn't introduce himself, didn't care about anything (other than maybe his girlfriend in the bar area), knew nothing about the L'Aquila tasting menu and provided no insights to the dishes, charged us $14/martini despite menu stating $8/drink. While the owner's write up and online menu included a dessert (Ferratelle Dolci), no dessert was offered or included at the actual dinner and the server said 'nope - no dessert'. This is so misleading and unexcusable when the promoted dinner menu includes it. Overall a disaster of a dinner - and sadly the food wasn't good either. The tomato starter was uninspired, the pasta cheese sauce hinted of Kraft or pre-packaed, and the lamb skewers were overcooked to the point of being almost jerky. Clearly an owner who spends more time writing his articles than he does training staff, providing food that matches the actual online menu, and ensuring some level of quality. So, can't recommend this place until substantial improvements are made.
