    Barbecue chicken pizza
    Carlos H.

What an adorable little space tucked away in a garden that feels like the coziest backyard setting. Our barbecue chicken pizza was absolutely delicious. Perfectly balanced sauce, cheese, and homestyle dough that altogether made one of the best barbecue chicken pizzas we've ever had! The staff here is easy-going and super friendly. If the weather is nice like it was today, you can easily bring your dog and have a lunch day outside together! We can't wait to come back. Thank you, Brickery, for serving us one of the best pizzas we've had so far this year!

Truly excellent pizza, light thin crust and delicious toppings. The garden is a lovely place to either eat in or wait for your to go pizza.

This was our first meal in Mendocino after making the four hour drive from the Bay Area and it was so good that it had us licking all the pepperoni grease off our fingers! We came by at 4pm on a Friday in spring season and there were only a few other parties there. We ordered the Artichoke Pepperoni. They only have 1 size and it looks big but has a thin crust and can comfortably feed two people. The thin crust and dough has a crispy exterior yet a subtle chew on the interior -- it's sturdy enough to support the weight of the toppings but still has a flop when you hold up a slice so it's not too stiff. The slight char on the crust complements the tickle of acidity in tomato sauce. The cheese is stringy and the right amount, while the slices of small pepperoni are crispy and curl up to fill up with its own grease! The salty pepperoni is balanced by the sourness of the artichoke hearts. I also really like the vibe of this place -- they only have outdoor seating available but it's in a serene landscaped garden with tables and seating scattered throughout. If the weather is good, enjoying your pizza while soaking in the costal Mendocino air and partly cloudy sun will make for a memorable experience! Overall, definitely a must-try in Mendocino!

Gorgeous pizza! We got the Combo and it was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Super fresh ingredients and a sauce and crust that are world class! It's going to be my first stop the next time I'm in town!

One of the best pizza places in Mendocino - they have delicious pizzas and very inviting ambience! Loved the beautiful art on the wall!! Highly recommend going here when in Mendo!

FYI Brickery is down the path next door to The Waiting Room. Beautiful grounds to relax and enjoy the wood fired pizza here. We had the Hot Honey Pizza which came out different than what I had read online. Most likely they change their menu daily. The crust had great chew but I prefer a crispy crust. The pizza was very one dimensional lacking veggies of any kind. The so called hot honey was not hot at all but perhaps because there wasn't much honey. I am thinking we should have ordered a different pizza.

Unique pizza combinations and seasonal specials in a cute spot in Mendocino. Lot of outdoor seating in their garden with beautiful succulents. Wouldn't recommend purchasing soup since it comes in a to-go plastic container. A must visit place with reasonable prices and generous portion sizes. We ordered 2 pizzas for 2 people and ended up eating it for dinner too, so order judicially.

Great spot!! A little hidden gem - pizzas were delicious!! We had the Margherita, Spicy Salami, and Posto. Will definitely go back ... and Next time - Pesto!!!

This is one of my favorite spots in Mendocino. The pizza is delicious, they have some tasty salads and soups as well, and the garden is the perfect spot to enjoy your meal. I love all of the nasturtium growing everywhere. I would give it 6 stars if they offered gluten free pizza. But still, a very worthy place to stop when visiting.

I had the pleasure of trying Brickery Pizza for the first time!! It was so delightful. I LOVE pizza and ordered the Margherita (yum!!!) They also offer vegan options which I am so grateful to just have the choice of cheese or no dairy cheese. Cute little outside patio garden setup. Definitely would return next time I am in town! 5 stars across the board.

Pizza was delicious I was stuffed before I ordered it, but I had to try it! All before my dinner at Harbor House...12 courses... Brickery has beautiful grounds with tons of secluded spots to enjoy your pizza and beer!

Delicious thin crust pizza! Simple with fresh ingredients. The outside seating is so chill, lovely backyard vibes.

Local shop girl recommended Brickery for the beautiful garden patio seating area and the wood fired brick oven pizza. It is a must try. We also had the double Smashburger available only on Wednesdays and Thursdays. It was in the top 3 of all time. Cute place with delicious food. Go to Mendo and try

For a table of 2 we walked in and had 1 party wait in front of us, which still took 30ish min to be seated. The outdoor seating is beautiful with the lighting, but the indoors was quaint as well. The waiters are extremely nice and sociable, makes you feel like family. Great spot for a date night! 5/5 Complimentary focaccia was soft and fluffy. They had different ones, like rosemary, plain, and the pizza. The pizza one was easily the best, especially if it just came out of the oven. You can definitely ask for more and they are happy to bring you some! 4/5 Melanzane parmigiana was a nice eggplant parm in a smaller appetizer form. Don't let the size fool you, it's pretty filling. I would have wished for a bit more sauce and the eggplant a bit more seasoned, but it was definitely a great dish. There were parts where the batter was a bit soggy. 4/5 Cappellacci Verdi alla Zucca was a solid dish. The butter and sage sauce was simple and allows the pasta to shine, with the squash not being too strong. I think if it was stronger in flavor, it might have shined a bit more. 5/5 Spaghetti al Pesto Genovese is easily the best dish. The pesto flavor was strong and seasoned well. If you come here, this is the one to get! 4/5 Creme Brulee was nice, great exterior with the right sweetness. Felt a little too firm on the inside as I would have wanted it softer, but nothing out of this world. Overall a really solid Italian spot that feels like a neighborhood gem. The complimentary focaccia and the pesto spaghetti alone are worth the visit. I would recommend making a reservation to skip the wait, but the ambiance and warm service make it a perfect date night spot. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of their pasta offerings!

After a morning canoe down the Big River and those stairs, we turned into ravenously hungry people. We asked the gift shop lady for food recommendations. Without skipping a beat, she said: "Patterson's Pub! If you get there before 2:00 PM, you can get brunch!" Challenge accepted. We took our appetites straight to Mendocino's main drag. They had a tented patio in the sunny-but-stubbornly-windy Mendocino air, but we opted for the interior. Good choice. It has the ultimate "Authentic Irish Pub" starter pack: Cool and dark? Check. Crisp draft beers? Check. Full bar? Check. The SF Giants game playing on multiple screens? Check and check. We successfully beat the 2:00 PM brunch buzzer, and the specials menu looked to good to pass up! Lobster Wontons (Pub Special): Gone in a literal flash. Blink and you missed them. Crabcakes Benedict (Pub Special): Hands down, the best this diner has ever had. The hollandaise sauce (which they kindly served on the side per request) was a lemony deliciousness! The Comfort Food Crew: The rest of the party ordered clam chowder (Boston), garlic bread, and a fried cod sammy with thin-cut fries. All around lip-smacking! The Liquid Refreshment: Paired it all with a half-pint of Scrimshaw Pilsner (shoutout to local Fort Bragg brewing). It hit the spot and paired perfectly with the crabcakes benedict! The "Too Spicy" Drama: We did hit one minor speed bump. One of the dishes turned out to be a bit too spicy for one of our sensitive diners (not me). The waitstaff deserve a medal here. They went out of their way to try and "de-spice" the meal. While my companion's tastebuds were past the point of return, the staff's effort and sweetness were noticed and much appreciated! . Excellent customer service. The Verdict: A wonderful, perfect meal for a weekend getaway in the Mendocino/Fort Bragg area. We will absolutely be back. Let this be a lesson to you all: always ask a local!
