Complementary chips and 2 types of salsa
    Bjorn B.

Service was excellent the staff were friendly and the food came out fast. The food was delicious. The Chips and salsa ( 2 versions were served) The tacos were full of flavor and the taquitos were delicious. I would recommend this place . The restaurant was cozy and outside there was a live band playing . I would se give it a try. It was very clean. And they also have a Mexican buffet if that interests you .

Chilaquiles. Fried tortillas drenched in salsa with two sides being warm diced potatoes and frijoles topped with two eggs.

I''ve been going here every now and then during my lunch or whenever I get my check. I always get the chilaquiles. They are so good. I also LOVE the diced potatoes. The texture is perfect to me and isn't soggy like the other restaurants. It didn't taste like it was warmed up in a microwave so that's a win. The overrall food they have is good and the service is so warm and welcoming. They talk to me like I'm a family member or something . Come here and eat their food.

    Chips come with it!

I called & ordered the chicken flauta lunch with pinto beans and extra hot sauce. The worker was kind and said it would be ready in 5-10 minutes. I went in to get it shortly later. It's in The Galleria" in downtown Fresno. The restaurant is very nice. Clean, safe & practiced. Calm. Greeted by kind worker and order was ready & waiting. Paid for it and wished a good day after being offered hot sauce! Lunchtime! I got some of their sweet cinnamon sugar chips leaving to go with it. Really great! They have them for customers to take and you can also buy some. Chicken Flauta was really good. Just wish I knew they put sour cream on it. Definitely preferred without. Came with pinto beans and rice. Both were really good! Fresh & tasty hot sauce also! Nice spice! It can't with a bag of original chips and they went good with the salsa too! Good amount! Leftovers! Good service & lunch! Recommended!

Stopped in recently on a Thursday with some family because I noticed they have a buffet every day and posole on Thursdays. We all got the buffet which comes with a drink for about $10. The restaurant is in the Galleria with 3-4 other restaurants, all pretty small and casual. These businesses generally cater to downtown working crowd, they know you're on a lunch hour and they aim to get you in and out, which I appreciate. For those not walking from work, there is free parking in a small lot to the side of the building, which didn't need to be validated. The food was good but not outstanding. The buffet was small but enough of a variety of options including a small salad station. The posole I was looking forward to didn't disappoint. Not the best I've had but really good (which generally means it had enough garlic and chile). The beans and rice were just ok. I found the chile verde to be a little salty. The cheese enchiladas were good but didn't care for the ground beef ones. Highlights were the chile rellenos which had a good amount of cheese and the flan. I don't usually care for flan but this was really good caramel flavor and firm. I also appreciated that they had brewed tea since I don't drink soda. I will definitely come again, adding it to my downtown lunch spots - for the buffet and lunch specials.

Not bad for the price ! But honestly the food is average, I wouldn't go out of my way to come back. However, if you work downtown town or live in the area you will enjoy it because of the convenience and cheap lunch pricing. The bf and I like to frequent downtown town just for the heck of it, we have our usual spots we like but wanted to try something different. Galleria has free 2 hour parking during the week so we decided to come here to grub. It did take awhile to get menus and our drink order in, but we came during the lunch rush so it's understandable I guess. The waitress didn't crack a smile or anything she was very rush-rush. Like "hurry -up -and- order- I -have -50 -other -customers -to -tend -to "type of attitude. Again I understand. My bf ordered a beer and it was priced fairly he just had to wait a very long time to receive it. The food however, came out quickly. I ordered 2 grilled chicken tacos w beans and rice. Tacos were good, but they made them way too spicy. I know I'm Latina n all but I can't handle a lot of spicy-ness in my food. Beans and rice were OK. My bf always orders Chile Colorado, he said it was 6 stars out of 10. Good chips and salsa but flour tortillas are yuck! They were rubbery and hard, so corn tortillas is a better option here. Side note : They do have a little lunch buffet too for $10.65. I took a gander and it looked alright ,average amount of options and they had a mini dessert table as well, just another way to go if you're extra hungry during lunch hours.

If you're looking for decent, filling, and a safe choice for Mexican food; this is it. On Thursdays it's Pozole day, it's yummy and not greasy, served with all the fixings. Hubby always gets beef enchiladas at every Mexican restaurant we go to. You won't find lengua or buche on the menu. But you can sit outside under shaded trees in a nice courtyard.

I don't think I've ever felt betrayed by Yelp reviews...until now…read more During a recent road trip we stopped here to picked up some lunch/dinner because tacos are quick and easy and their Yelp rating is high. Location/services: Upon entering the building I immediately noticed the heat. It was a hot 98 degree day and the restaurant felt like an oven and was maybe 3-5 degree cooler than it was outside. I then quickly noticed this was a very simple operation (almost like a food truck), and not much to the menu, but there were folks sitting and eating and a few others waiting to order, so I assumed the food must be great. We ordered 4 meals (tacos with rice/beans) which was meant to be eaten there but after waiting in line and feeling like we were in a hot box, we decided to make it to go. We sat and waited for our food (about 20 mins), we chatted and observed our surroundings and it became very apparent the restaurant was not maintained with basic cleaning because it was very grimy and just plain dirty. I then used the restroom and it was absolutely disgusting. Our ordered was called and the staff was very nice. The food: As I mentioned, we got 4 orders of tacos (all carne asada) with rice/beans, and we asked for salsa and limes. We got grilled jalapenos, lemons and one sandwhich baggy filled with red salsa. Not a big deal. The meat was fine but the tortillas were inedible. They were tough, flavorless, and greasy. The bean and rice were ok. We ate enough to curb our hunger but none of us finish our food. Upon my best judgement, I had convinced myself that the food was gonna be great because their Yelp rating told me so. I was so wrong! One last note, there was nothing here that resembled a bakery/panaderia. So if you think you could also grab a treat here, you are wrong.

This place is officially bookmarked for every future drive through Fresno!…read more The lengua and chicharrón tacos were honestly some of the best I've ever had. I also sampled the carnitas on top of crispy taco shells as well. The meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, and the tortillas came out hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Every bite reminded me why simple food done right is hard to beat. I was hoping to try the mojara frita, menudo, and barbacoa, only to find out the menudo and barbacoa are weekend only specialties. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed, but it also gives me a great reason to come back. What really stood out, beyond the food, was the hospitality. David, who appears to have been running the place for over 20 years, was incredibly charismatic and provided the kind of customer service that seems harder and harder to find these days. You can tell he genuinely cares about both the restaurant and the people who walk through the door. One of my favorite parts of the visit was when I saw the owner come out and greet the regulars and customers. The interactions felt sincere and heartfelt, not forced. There was a real sense of community here, as if customers weren't just patrons but part of an extended family. That kind of atmosphere is special and says a lot about the people behind the business. Great food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming environment--I'll definitely be back, hopefully on a weekend next time.

What could have been a disappointing surprise turned into one of the best local dining experiences we've had in a long time. We had the pleasure of meeting Miguel himself, and his hospitality immediately stood out. He took the time to introduce us to several items on the menu and encouraged us to try a little bit of everything. I'm glad he did. The red beans and rice were absolutely phenomenal, and every single thing we tasted was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with pride. You can tell Miguel genuinely cares about both the food and the people he serves. What impressed me most wasn't just the food--it was the atmosphere. Miguel has a gift for making you feel welcome. His heart for hospitality is second to none, and it's obvious that serving great food and creating a great experience are his top priorities. If you're looking for a hidden gem in Clovis, this is it. Whether you're stopping in to catch a game, grab a meal with friends, or enjoy a simple flip-flop date night with your spouse, Miguel's is worth the visit. We'll definitely be back, and I can't recommend this place enough.

Miguel sells his auntenthic mexican food and Lisa sells her favorite sweet treats. By far on the market, they sell pretty bomb salsa! It's not like the generic salsa from store bought one, it's just like the unique homemade family recipes. And trust me, these are not as supper vinegary. I love Miguel's salsa! Miguel's message was to serve his community and bring his tradition to the table. He brought the flavors of Michoacan and Jalisco Mexico which were passed down from the Segura family. SERVICE :: I love Miguel's service! He personally serves you and greet you there. He offered me free chips and salsa while i wait. They were quiet busy but get things done quickly too. RATE : 5/5 SALSAS & CHIPS - COMPLIMENTARY:: His salsas and chips were the best thing I've ever recieved. He serves his famous red and green salsa with a little bit of ground beef on top. They go so well together. RATE : 5/5 RED SALSA :: It's hard to describe it here but it's roasty burnt salsa full of flavors. Not too vinegary. You just got to try it in person. RATE : 5/5 GREEN SALSA :: I personally love the green sauce more, in general. And still Miguel's green salsa still beats the red salsa. I can taste all of the greens and fruit in it. It may be advertised mild but the heat is there. It's about almost the same spice level as the red salsa. RATE : 5/5 ASADA TACO ($3.49) :: Besides his salsa, his tacos were amazing too. It's well seasoned, unique, and full of flavor. The asada is something that I've never tasted before. It's very herby, well seasoned to taste, juicy and tender! RATE : 5/5 TACOS DORADOS ($4.49) :: The tacos dorados were something different from what I've had before and were absolutely delicious. This taco reminds me of birria. The texture and flavor were also amazing. I asked for pork, it was supper moist, tender and juicy full of flavors. The cotija cheese brings a nice dry and light cheesy taste to it. And lastly, those pickled jalapeno just give a pop of juicy, sour, and spicy flavor. RATE : 5/5 PISTACHIO CREAMES ICED MATCHA (16oz - 6.49) :: Lisa use Tenzo brand. I've used and tried Tenzo before and it's hard to ratio the matcha. Over portion Tenzo match will be too bitter and too little too diluted. And yes, Lisa's Matcha was on the diluted side. The pistachio flavoring is light and taste artificial. The sweetness level is perfectly sweetend. Not too sweet. RATE : 2/5 NOTE : Spend anything above $50, get a $5 dollar off voucher for the next purchase. OVERALL :: Overall, it's a hidden gem that's definitely worth checking out! Don't forget his salsas, he do sell them on the side. I'll definitely go back for more and try his other menu!
