Services were good per the busy hour we arrived; servers were very strained with amount of workflow. Only 2 serves but full restaurant. The food was good, as per usual, but owner and owner friend made myself and friend uncomfortable. Interaction between them and servers was disrespectful and demeaning to work staff. We enjoyed our pasta and breadsticks at La Trattoria during our trip through Winchester. The penne Gorgonzola and penne vodka were delicious and portions were large. Breadsticks are homemade and delicious. The small Italian salad was enough for two but nothing worth bragging about. Italian cream cake was fabulous . . . a lot of pecans and coconut in a very moist cake with plenty of cream icing. Although our food was good, I'm not sure if we would return. Upon entry, a very musty, dusty smell hits you. The old building smell dominates the room over any aroma of the delicious pasta and bread. The only seating available is either stools around normal size tables or high boys. There are two tables with seating for six. Bottom line - food good, atmosphere is lacking. read more

Best restaurant we've ever had in Winchester. Period. Beautiful decor, fantastic service, and delicious food. The pizza is not to be missed, and the pasta is just right. My son is addicted to the shrimp scampi. We have been multiple times and we will continue to come as often as we can to support this great local restaurant. Highly recommended! read more

My family was in Winchester for the Christmas holiday and had the pleasure of eating dinner here on 12/23. My husband ordered the spaghetti with meatballs and I had the chicken fettucine alfredo. While both were delicious, since I was able to try a bite of my husband's food, my chicken fettucine alfredo was one of the best I have ever had. The sauce was creamy and delicious. The piece of chicken was both crunchy and juicy. It was the best I have ever had in a restaurant setting. Here it is a month later and all I have to do is think about that meal and my mouth starts to water. This will definitely be one of our stops whenever we return to Kentucky to visit. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who enjoys chicken fettucine alfredo!! read more

Went on a Saturday Night. Doing all the right stuff for COVID. Ordered a special from the drink menu and it was perfect. Ordered beer cheese and wings for apps. The wings were crispy and had great flavor. Ordered dinner and everything was perfect. I ordered Shrimp Scampi with gluten free noodles and it was heaven. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. Besides being wonderful food and environment, they are a great option for gluten free eaters. They take all the GF precautions. read more

My wife and I live in New York City, so we are fortunate enough to have access to some very fine Italian restaurants. We come to Winchester several times a year to visit her family. We were unaware of La Trattoria, but very interested in checking it out. We couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. The food, service, prices and space are wonderful. A Caesar Salad with a very tasty homemade dressing, delicious Alfredo, perfectly fired Pizza and a truly fantastic take on Spaghetti and Meat Balls. Some of the best red sauce I've ever tasted--dark, complex, absolutely bursting with flavor. La Trattoria is a welcome addition to downtown Winchester. We highly recommend taking a trip over to Main Street and enjoying a genuinely fabulous Italian meal. read more

My wife and daughter happened to be in Winchester, KY about dinner time and found one of the most fabulous little Italian restaurants. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi and must say it was the best prepared and best tasting I have ever eaten, and I have eaten the dish all over, most recently in Naples. My wife and daughter both ordered different dishes and both commented what thehad was fabulous. We all agreed a return to this restaurant in the near future would be in our plans. We have lived in Winchester for a year and absolutely regret we have just now tried this place! It is now our new favorite! Service was great and food was simply amazing. Even our children (ages 3, 2, 1) loved the food. The alfredo was the best we have ever had and everything else we ordered was top notch!!! The food was tasty but the pizza was pretty greasy. Also the chocolate cake was extremely dry and wasn't fresh. It didn't taste good at all.

After agonizing over which pizza place close to Fort Boonesborough to choose, we settled on this restaurant after reading their reviews...The reviews were so VERY RIGHT!!! This small mom and pop kind of place had so many fabulous choices, that we ended up choosing a variety... Four Cheese, Ugly Prosciutto, Buffalo Chicken & Bacon to Italian Meats. The people here were so nice too!!! Honestly, we all agreed that they were some of the best pizzas, they had ever tasted!!!
